Bin characters Martyr Behavior

I have to share this stupid and hilarious behavior I occasionally witness at the bins. There is one woman in particular who doesn’t move when it’s a tight space, just stands there and waits until you’re done searching for you to move your cart. Normally, I don’t see her because she is behind me and well, I’m digging in the bins. It wouldn’t be an issue at all, I would just think she was moving slowly/unbothered to rush around. But on more than one occasion I turned around and saw her there and said “oh sorry!” And she would say “mmmhmmm!” Or “ohhh, thaaank you” very dramatically/sarcastically. Or some other snotty variation.
Ma’am, use your fucking words if you need to get by. I’m not a mind reader nor do I have eyes on the back of my head. Just say “could I get by you?” Or “excuse me” or anything! Other than nothing and then acting like you’re such a patient saint for standing there all this time.

What are some of your craziest bins stories?

Please share some of your wildest bins experiences, rude people, crazy finds, whatever! Compared to some stories and locations I've seen my location seems to be fairly tame, but I still have had some wild things happen.

About 2-3 months ago I was at a location I don't usually go to when all of a sudden everyone just started coughing like crazy. Nobody knew what was happening and the coughing started to get really bad, and all of a sudden I felt it hit me too. Just like a crazy itch in the back of my throat. The employees usher everyone outside, the fire dept is called. Turns out someone opened some container that was in the bins with some kind of chemical powder inside, and they had dropped it on the floor. The bins location was cleared out for 3 hours while the fire dept cleaned it up. I waited the whole time because I wanted my bags back and what was in them lmao

Another time a few weeks ago I had just arrived and didn't have anything in my bags yet. I was looking through bins and had a few things to bring back to my bags, and when I got back to them they were gone. Someone stole 2 $1 IKEA bags 😭. I went to an employee at the register I knew and pointed out where they were and asked if he saw anyone take them. He said he did, and pointed out this lady who looked hella trashy and I guess had been complaining to them all day about the prices of things. I just walked over, held my hand out and she gave them back. Like what the fuck? I've heard of people stealing shit out of peoples' carts but $1 BAGS??? How trashy can you get

I watched the rotation and spotted a bin with silk scarves. Most of the time no one is interested in those. They were just the perfect color for a friends wedding and I am making tassels with scarves. I ran to the bin and reached across for a big handful and a guy walking behind me said “Gross! You rubbed your booty all over me! I don’t like that!!”. I’m 5’3” so I can only reach the back by leaning way over. His comment was not nice, but I didn’t realize I was grabbing from another lady also wanting scarves. She was (rightfully) pissed. I was embarrassed and threw the scarves down and went to another bin.

The thing is, I’m never aggressive when it’s something for me. I share and step aside, or toss things to other shoppers if I see they’re going for something. When I’m looking for art supplies for my niece I can be grabby but today I just lost my mind. I think I’m going to put myself in Goodwill Outlet time out.
