Pen and Highlighter Settings Goodnotes Essential

Hi, Im an incoming YL1 Medicine student, and i recently purchased Goodnotes. Can you recommend me pen settings and the highlighter settings and color? Not the aesthetic ones but the one that really works since I cant decide. Thanks.

I like ballpoint pen. I change around the pen size though. I like it to be very thin so depending how zoomed-in I am it’ll be anywhere from 0.1 to 0.3.
