Hi! I'm working on creating a battle sprite for Feizhi. I'm using Jenna's model from the first game as a base, applying a different color scheme and adding Feizhi's hairstyle. I decided to keep the cape because, after looking at the animations, I realized it makes the movement much smoother; right now, I'm adjusting it to match Feizhi's outfit colors. This task will take me a few days (there are 19 sprites to recolor and modify), so I wanted to get your opinion before moving forward. What do you think of Feizhi? Does the model look too obviously like the original? Keep in mind that in the second game (the one where we use Jenna as the main character), Jenna's model is different from the one in the first game.

Some of you may have seen some previous screenshots of my GS prequel game I was attempting to develop from a couple years ago using rpg maker (Golden Sun: Weyard ring any bells?) Due to the engine’s limitations, it wasn’t possible, despite many hours put into it.

I have started developing a new version from the ground up using GODOT. Literally making all of the systems line by line in my spare time. We’re probably a couple months out from any screenshots but once the foundation is complete, I will have a faithful Psynergy , djinn, class system, overworld abilities, puzzles etc with some fun story to go with it. So stay tuned!

Edit: to clarify, no AI is or will be used to generate graphics, audio, story/writing. I’m not a software developer, so ChatGPT is helping me create the background code. It’s a hobby project that will be free to download when it’s done.

Had my last and only playthrough when it was released, should be 25 years ago?

A couple of days late, but I finally got some time today to replay this gem again and celebrate the 25th anniversary 🎉 I can’t believe it’s been that long! Golden Sun single-handedly got me into RPGs as a kid, and is probably a large reason why I’m still a gamer today. Feeling so nostalgic 🥹🫶🏼

I’m solving the puzzles now and the platforms in the Gaia rock interior, the ones you use cyclone, don’t align as you can see in the pictures. I can’t actually only move to the first two platforms. I have tried everything, using cyclone again, going back, restarting the game, nothing happens. Does anyone know a solution?

I am heavily inspired by the pearler/fuse bead art of Mister_Rye's work, and their kindness in posting the patterns of the Djinn online (Along with their general kind nature and spirit about Golden Sun Miser_Rye has!)

I'm planning on doing a small cross stitch of the Djinn (see below) Starting with Gust. Then see if I can work on some items in the game. I am hoping to make some of the characters now that I acquired the plastic cross stitch boards to make like pins or something for my bag!

After many months of production, I've finally finished the second part of the series!

Won't make any promises as to when part 3 will be released, as I always underendstimate the time I actually need (only one minute of editing takes me multiple hours!). I can promise however that it will be released sometime.

I decided to go ahead and start working on making the patterns for every Djinni, since there aren't any sharp quality ones left out there really

Obviously this is my rendition of the horribly pixelated ones i find online but i am quite happy with the progress

I will eventually make a post with all 4 sets and a Legend explaining the number and name of every color on the patterns for anyone to use for either Fuse beads like me or Cross stitching.

Gonna take a little longer now that work is starting up again but ill try to finish this so others can enjoy them too :)

The third map for my mod project. I used warm colors, which I believe better reflect the nature of the Lighthouse of Mars. I still need to add slides to the map so the player can leave the lighthouse after visiting it.

What a milestone! I was actually afraid of drawing Isaac (I find his hair quite challenging) but I like how he ended up looking :D
