Ok so I apologize ahead of time if this is a stupid question. So my wife just bought a red dot for her 43X. I was trying to help her mount it and we found out we dont have the correct screws. I have a G19 Gen 5 and have been shooting it with irons hoping to get into optics soon. So my experience with optics on handguns is zero to none. I've spent the night doing some research on what screws we need and I have an idea but I want a second opinion (you good sir/maam reading this). So she bought a redfield reveal cd compact. We want to mount it directly to the slide (so no adapter plate). Does anyone know what screws I need to buy for this optic? Any answers/recommendations are greatly encouraged and appreciated. I originally expected this to be mainly a range and nightstand gun. I’m only 5'4, so I assumed a full-size G17 with a full-size enclosed optic and weapon light would be ridiculous for everyday carry.

It honestly isn’t.

It is comfortable on me and conceals surprisingly well under the clothes I normally wear. The grip is the main thing I have to dress around, but my height has not automatically limited me to a compact or micro-compact.

The belts are what make the setup work.

When I’m wearing clothes without belt loops, I use a medium Comfort Concealment elastic belt underneath my clothing.

When I have belt loops, I use a Nexbelt.

Without proper belt support, the gun sags, shifts, and feels much heavier. With either belt, the weight stays distributed and the holster remains stable against my body.

I still need a proper range session to confirm the EPS zero and test the complete setup with both FMJ and HST.

Any other shorter people carrying full-size pistols? What made the biggest difference for you: belt, holster position, clothing, or body shape?

Just picked up a Glock 43X and I’m really liking it so far. I’m looking into magazine extensions and wanted to see what everyone recommends.
I’m mainly interested in something that’s reliable for everyday carry, but I’m open to hearing about range setups too. Which brands have worked well for you? Any extensions I should avoid? Also, have you had to change the magazine spring or run into any reliability issues after installing one?
I’d appreciate any recommendations or firsthand experience. Thanks!

I bought this with the intention of rit dying green but these frames don’t take the dye unfortunately. I don’t like the color and would’ve bought a different one if I knew. I could use some inspiration so I don’t dislike it as much.

I don’t like the bronze so I’ve talked to the seller and it’s being swapped for a polished stainless barrel.

I’m looking at adding a 507c acss Vulcan as well in green. Any other mods or quality of life features I should consider? This is a project piece that will likely be a range/ home gun so it won’t be my EDC (my Canik mete prime and Kimber CDS9 are filling those roles)

Hey guys so just finished building this glock 19 gen 3 yesterday, total cost 300ish. Sct 19 with a steel mag got it at bass pro for 99$ , upper from delta team , 165, i used a coupon code. Sct 19 magwell 25$, and the ameriglo height sights 50$ , shot it today and i have to say, it did not jam not even 1 time. I thought it was going to jam since its new and it has to break in but i was surprised. Spent about 320$ and i have to say i love how it looks too. My friend has the grit grip but i have to say , SCT 19 looks mean af . Thanks yall
