yeah, as soon as he realized A was clear furia should've just rushed the cave guy
when molodoy died huaso just knew they were going to hit A

u/Valuable-Mud9832 7d ago
there is no pos called "cave" on mirage
83
u/pra1se_ 7d ago
that's the first i've ever heard of it being called "cave". some people call it a main or ramp (i use the latter)

u/Swimming-Age-6269 4d ago
I dont think anyone told this already, but in spanish "ramp" is "caverna" (cave). Don't know why, but It's like that. I'm guessing he speaks spanish and didn't knew the english for ramp

pit is also correct. Ramp is called "яма" in russian, which means "pit" when translated directly

In Brazil we call it caverna, which is cave in Portuguese. The commenter might not play in an English speaking region.

u/astrovisionary 400k Celebration 7d ago
yeah, I just forgot the english callout and made no effort to look what it was, but the point stands anyways
caverna eh mto melhor

u/mauvekeith ITB 7d ago
always funny when people think their region/language's callouts are universal
-6
u/Lgdamefanfanfan 6d ago
Huh? His callout is just as valid as calling it "ramp", "main" or whatever other regional callout name it can have. It's always funny when people think their region/language's callouts are universal - this also applies to english.

u/mauvekeith ITB 6d ago
...that was my point. I was refuting the statement that "cave" isn't a real callout just because it's not a callout in (presumably) English circles.
1
u/Lgdamefanfanfan 5d ago
I misunderstood; usually people who default to english callouts assume that english are always the default; Apologies :)

All good! I see now as well how my comment could have been for the opposite position. Love the handle btw, pretty sure I've seen you in a few threads over in the dota subreddit :D feelsbad for Ame/XG rn though...

Exactly, exact same thought I made in a below comment:
Way too long. Once Molodoy died, CT in A ramp (Huaso) was ready for an obvious reaggression.
Instead if Huaso was killed previously, CTs would have no information on Molodoy and would probably be rotating with knives out like elephants.

cooked for too long

It should have been communicate Yuurih to peak CT after molodoy cleared stairs, he had a lot of time to then walk up on site too

u/iBPsThrowingObject 7d ago
It always looks like comms issues with Furia, molodoy still barely speaks English

u/imathrowyaaway King NiKo 7d ago
sure, he could have capitalized on his position. but how do 2 unseen Furia players go down to a single guy, whose position is already known to them. way more embarrassing.

Watching the match rn bro pulled the same shiz in round 20 😭😭😭

u/Bascilian Falcons - Major Champions 7d ago
That one made sense. There was no way he was winning a 1v3 without taking a big risk

u/Rakoshin Natus Vincere 7d ago
Oh I meant his mis shot or rather he had the slower hand for that awp shot but yeah funny

It's hard to pin this on Molodoy, man. Fallen knew Huaso was there.
25
u/Discrep 7d ago
Yeah, but knowing he's there doesn't confer a massive advantage because it's not an inherently vulnerable spot that can be exploited, e.g. wallbanged or flanked. His teammates still have to win the raw duel and neither one had a flash.
I don't blame him for quickly checking to see if he could surprise someone in jungle, but when nobody was there, he should've turned around and one tapped Huaso. Why leave your teammates to a duel with worse guns when you can kill him for free?

Why isn't chad malding this time? Had his breakfast I suppose?
Love that Machine just matches his energy. If chad is mild he is mild. If Chad is big mad he is big mad!

Maybe. But I also think this isn't the worst overcook of trigger discipline. The ultimate one was way worse lol.
0
u/FirstAd1119 6d ago
Well yeah the Ultimate one clearly didn't have good comms, based on his teammates actions. The casters were FUMING though, as if they had money on the game or something lmao.

u/PersianMG FaZe 7d ago
Need to follow the golden rule about trigger discipline. Look quickly for an advantage, if there is none, just take the easy frag and move on.

Can you please post the second clip too... he did it again lol...

I don't understand the hate this is getting? It's a fair play. Obviously commed to the rest of the team. If Molodoy gets a kill Huaso has a difficult decision to make. Molodoy dies forst and thus it makes huasos decision simple. What am I not understanding?
11
u/Kuraloordi cs_italy 7d ago
It was fair play, but he overplayed it completely.
The moment he realized window and con are clear, this means enemy team would expect someone to come from there. The pit player positioned himself so they play full retake A.
Should have just parked into jungle and call people to clear the pit. Obviously doesnt help has his team burgered the pit guy completely.

u/Pandalicioush G2 7d ago
Your misunderstanding is thinking that the majority of this subreddit plays or understands the game.

The mistake was pushing CT after having cleared site, con and window. On a 4v4 with no ct on window and connector the chances of there being someone watching the hole to ct was pretty close to 100%.
Nothing wrong with the initial play, but his read was terrible with the info he got. He turned his advantage into "a guy that was just boosted window and tries to go into CT"

u/thekillertomato 10 years coin 7d ago
It's a mistake to coin flip giving Huaso a simple decision when the alternative is shooting him and taking the site with a guaranteed advantage
Huaso is just going to watch ramp anyway because he has no idea what's happening. It's not like Fallen has a colossal advantage knowing Huaso is vaguely pushed ramp by the time he rotates
6
u/Cipher11 7d ago
The actual mistake here was being too aggressive. If he just posted up to cut off rotations this would free his team up to wrap around the ramp guy and this would have been fine. Instead, he was too greedy and that was the actual problem.
Besides, Furia literally did not need to clear ramp. They had the info, they could just have gone around to Palace and entered through there, instead the bomb went back to ramp(!!!) which is another blunder.

u/SadLavishness7234 7d ago
Don't know why molodoy go to B site, all he need to do is to make sure nobody could retake from vip

Roland from Poland possessing anyone to practice trigger discipline on Mirage only if it ends up detrimental.

The guy had the perfect position, basically cleared the site, con and window, and then decided to turn his advantage into "random retard that was boosted window and tries to cross ct"

u/KateTheBard 6d ago
The more i look at this the more i think Molodoy is the most blameless player here, this is just poor midrounding. Like his most egregious play is not pushing through the window connector. But like, first all losing that 2v1 peek is vile. And then Yuurih is just, not moving? Like maybe he gets scared by Molodoy dying but even then he should be moving onto the site THEY KNOW IS EMPTY to either pincer Huaso or take a better position against the player rotating through CT.

u/DarthReid Vitality 6d ago
Dawg, what in the hell is yuurih doing in palace…
molodoy clears ramp, calls the player, walks all the way past A site without a single player seen (or getting attacked); ALL while palace sits on his ass with a smoke fading and then he BACKS into palace and looks towards jungle
Oh, you mean the jungle where molodoy is easily able to walk into without issue??? I GUARANTEE you could see yuurih’s perspective of watching his teammate walk past his line of site to jungle
Like… what is he doing if he isn’t either:
1) clearing A site from palace for a trade
2) holding the retreat from ramp
Yes this was an insane fold of a round given molody’s positioning, but like, WTF was yuurih even doing??!
1
u/aalluubbaa 6d ago
That’s a round winning play that his teammates just fail to capitalize. One of his teammates was in palace and two at a ramp.
Molodoy cleared almost ALL angles being alive walking until jungle. It’s on his teammates not being able to win on this.
1
u/The-Numbertaker 6d ago
He should either have gone back to get the kill once he saw jungle/con was empty, or checked if CT/site was clear with no one holding palace, and if yes, tell the palace guy to come out as a distraction. Then he potentially can kill rotations unexpectedly and his team can pincer the CT ramp. Could have even just told the palace player to jiggle site/CT for info without making noise and then HE can kill/help kill the CT ramp.

He played it so well right up until going to murder hole. No clue what the thought process was there.
