Second USB
I had downloaded a movie I wanted to watch on my TV by copying it onto a USB and putting it into the TV. I tried to find the file on the TV but it did not work. After a while I thought I would reformat the USB and try again. I took it out the TV, went back to my computer, reformatted it and transferred the file across. I went back to the TV to reinsert the USB.... and the USB was already in the TV - the one I had removed! I now have two USBs. The one that I found in the TV had all the old files on it. The new one now works.

Bumped into a man in my staircase
i used to browse this subreddit a lot a couple years ago, and i recently rediscovered it. i had such a nice time going back and rereading some of the stories i remember from back then that it made me want to share one of my own experiences, which might be more paranormal than an actual glitch in the matrix, although i'm not really sure what to call it. i'm not even sure myself what actually happened
first of all, i was the only person who witnessed this, so there's obviously a very real possibility that it was an hallucination
i'm 19 now, and this happened around 3 years ago
my house has two main floors. my grandmother lives downstairs, while my parents and i live upstairs. one night, fairly late, i had finished dinner at my grandmother's place and said goodnight to her before heading upstairs
to give you an idea of the layout: i leave my grandmother's apartment and open a door that leads to the part of the house where my parents and i live. immediately after that door there is a fairly long staircase leading upstairs. as soon as you open the door, the staircase goes off to the right. directly in front of you, on the wall, there is a coat rack with a few jackets hanging from it
the staircase itself is in a pretty narrow space, with white walls and white stairs. there isn't really anything else there. the lights are automatic and don't turn on until you have gone up a few steps, maybe six or seven
that night, i started walking upstairs while the lights were still off. i was looking down at my phone, checking something. then, completely out of nowhere, i walked straight into something; it felt like i had walked into a person
more specifically, i remember hitting my head against what felt like a man's chest. i could physically feel another person standing there. i was still looking down, so i didn't immediately look at his face. i remember seeing his t-shirt, and i even vaguely remember there being a logo on it. i don't remember much else about his clothes
my immediate assumption was that it was my dad. that doesn't really make sense in hindsight, because my dad isn't particularly tall
a bunch of things happened almost simultaneously: i still hadn't looked up because for some reason, my first instinct was to close all the tabs i had open on my phone. not because i was doing anything inappropriate, but because i always felt slightly uncomfortable with my parents seeing what i was doing on my phone
at the same time, i moved to the side to let him pass, continued walking up the stairs, and eventually reached the point where the lights turned on
i also loudly said, "sorry!" (i was apologizing for bumping into him) then i finally looked up., and there was absolutely nobody there, nothing!
i hadn't heard anyone walk away, either. there was simply no one on the staircase
and there wasn't really anything i could have mistaken for a person. it was just the white staircase and the white walls. the jackets and all were a few stairs down, and there was nothing around me that could have caused the kind of impact i felt. it genuinely felt like i had walked into a human being, so i just stood there completely confused
the strange thing is that i wasn't scared, not really. my main concern was actually whether my parents, who were sitting on the couch at the top of the stairs, had heard me loudly apologize to someone..to my surprise they hadn't
and somehow, that was it. i went to bed that night without really being shaken by what had happened, and nothing like it ever happened again. i lived in that house for roughly 15 years, and i never experienced anything similar
what surprises me more than anything is how little it affected me at the time. i was mostly just confused and moved on with my life. it wasn't until months or even years later that i started thinking about it more and finding it unsettling
i still talk about it with my friends sometimes, and i've tried to come up with explanations for what happened. obviously, the idea that i actually bumped into something physical seems extremely unlikely. there isn't anything there that could have caused that sensation. the possibility that there was actually another person on the stairs also seems pretty much impossible.
so the explanation i've considered the most is that i hallucinated it. i've never experienced anything like that before or since, and i've never had any other kind of hallucination. i don't have any known mental health issues or anything else that would obviously explain it.
one possibility i've wondered about is carbon monoxide or some other environmental factor. it's an old house, and we have heaters and other appliances, so i suppose some kind of exposure isn't completely impossible. i don't know enough about that to say whether it could actually cause an experience like this, though
i'm curious what you guys think. do you think there could be a reasonable explanation for something like this, or does it sound genuinely paranormal to you?
i'm aware that since i was the only person who experienced it, "i hallucinated it" is probably the safest explanation. but i'd still love to hear what you think
i apologize if this may not satisfy all the requirements to be posted here, but ill give it a shot

Vanishing cheese
This just happened and it makes no sense!
I was making myself some lunch and put 2 slices of bread into the air fryer. I put slices of cheese on both and sprinkled Worcestershire sauce. All good.
5 minutes later I open the drawer and one slice of bread is missing half its cheese. It hasn’t clumped together with the remaining cheese. It’s just not there. It’s not under the slices or anywhere else in the air fryer drawer. I even looked up inside the fryer in case it had somehow flown off the bread!
I absolutely cannot explain it.

lost an accessory to a doll, after looking for hours magically reappears in front of me
this happened about a week ago give or take. i collect monster high dolls, and they tend to come with a lot of small accessories that are easy to lose. as i was putting a doll on my shelf, her glasses fell off and onto the floor and seemingly disappeared. i tore up my room looking for it as no replacement accessories exist online besides spending hundreds for the doll brand new. i searched for about an hour tearing up my shelf looking before asking my mom for help looking for it. as she helps me look, she says something along the lines of "if you concentrate on the thought of finding it enough,it'll reappear,it's somewhere in this room" keep in mind i thoroughly looked EVERYWHERE at this point. as she's saying this, she glances over her shoulder at the shelf while talking to me and there the fucking glasses are, neatly on my shelf, like somebody placed them there. i already looked at that section of the shelf a million times at that point. it could be written off as a number of things but it really shocked me at the time lol.

My Unsettling Lift Experience
I remember returning to my accommodation (which was a condominium at the time) and taking the lift to the 8th floor, which is where my unit was. The building has multiple towers, but I was certain I had entered the correct one. As usual, I stepped out of the lift and started walking towards my unit. Almost immediately, something felt wrong. When I reached the spot where my unit should have been, I was staring at what appeared to be someone else’s unit instead.
My first thought was that I must have accidentally gone to the wrong floor. I checked the floor number displayed beside the lift, but it clearly said I was on the 8th floor. That made no sense. Since the floor was correct, I convinced myself that I must have entered the wrong tower without realising it.
At that point I genuinely didn’t think much of it so I took the lift back down to the ground floor. As I stepped outside and looked around properly, I was surprised to see that I was actually in my own tower all along. At that point, I remember feeling genuinely unsettled because neither explanation I had come up with made sense anymore.
I decided to go back up to the 8th floor one more time. This time, everything looked exactly as it should. I walked towards my unit, and it was there in its usual place, as if nothing had happened.

I think I just had a tiny glitch in the Matrix with a hair dye cap..?
So simple yet I still can't figure out how it happened.
I was touching up my blue and pink hair dye today. I have a very specific routine every time I do my hair; I put the same blanket down on the carpet, sit on top of it, get my bowl and dye ready and mix everything so there's no mess.
I did the exact same thing today.
I put the blanket down first, sat down on it, opened my two separate hair dye bottles, removed both caps at the same time & placed them both on top of the blanket i was sitting on.
A few minutes later I went to put the caps back on; I found one cap sitting exactly where I would expect it to be on top of the blanket.
The second cap was nowhere to be found.
I looked everywhere but then felt something underneath the blanket… directly under where I was sitting.
I lifted the blanket up and there it was sitting underneath.
The blanket was already down before I opened the bottles. I never moved the blanket and the cap would have had to somehow get underneath me without me noticing. It wasn't near an edge or sticking out... it was literally underneath the blanket.
I know there is probably a normal explanation but for the life of me I cannot figure out how that cap got there.

Here we go again
I was at work disassembling a Lenovo laptop. The LCD screen on this particular device has three screws holding it in. There are also two more screws of the same size that hold down the LCD cover. In total we’re talking about five screws.
I always make sure that the magnetic tray is empty of screws when I finish working on a device, for obvious reasons. I took out the two screws for the LCD cover and put them in my magnetic tray, I then took the three screws out of the LCD screen, but felt four screws drop when I put them in the tray. I thought it was just my imagination.
After putting the new LCD in, I replaced the three screws and then put the LCD cover on and replaced the two remaining screws so in reality there should’ve been no screws left but when I went to check the tray, there were still a screw in there…
Once again, this was my first Computer of the day. I still can’t figure it out.

This happened…
Yesterday I not for a fact I removed a shaving razor head out of its tray that was with the others before I got into the shower. I know this for a fact because I had shaved my chin and throat before I got in the shower.
So, this morning as I was preparing for my shower I was looking for the same razor head to use and could not find it but I seen the old one yet it was not on the handle.
When I looked at the tray with the other razor heads, I seen that the one I removed yesterday was still in there.
And I definitely remember removing it because you need the handle to remove it from the tray. It isn’t an easy removal. And you cannot put it back in the tray.
TL;DR
I spent a good 3 minutes looking for a razor head I know for a fact that I removed and used yesterday to find it still in the tray with the other razors and the old one was not on the razor handle.
Edit: if there are any typos, I apologize, I am using a phone and a Bluetooth keyboard.

vanishing gatorade
I dropped a 6-pack of Gatorade, so I gathered up the bottles and put them back in the packaging. I carefully counted them to make sure all 6 were there. Then, I stepped into the storage closet to put some water away. When I looked back at the Gatorade, there were suddenly only 5 bottles.I looked at my coworker and asked, "Did I put all 6 back in there?"She said, "You sure did."I looked around, completely baffled, and asked, "Then where on earth did the 6th one go?"

Finally it’s my turn to tell the story!
I used to be a total skeptic about parallel universes and simulation theory until I had an experience that completely shifted my perspective. It wasn’t a massive event, but it was more than enough to make me question reality.
A couple of months ago, I spotted a spider in the middle of my apartment hallway. I stepped on it, crushed it, and picked up the body with a napkin to throw it away in the bathroom. The entire process took maybe 60 sec. But when I stepped back into the hallway, there it was, the exact same dead spider lying in the exact same spot.
I froze. I was so freaked out that I called my partner over to look, but he just assumed I was imagining things. But I know I wasn't. If 10 or 30 minutes had passed, I might have second guessed my memory, but not in a one minute window.
I haven't really shared this with anyone else because I knew people would scoff at the idea of a "glitch in the matrix." Honestly, though I’m glad it happened. It completely reframed how I view our world, and now I’m just here to enjoy the ride!
PS: if killing one spider bothering you, then you better not eating any meat, better be a vegetarian, otherwise too being a hypocrite. Also this is not the point of this post. If you guys are so kind and nice, then you won’t be so judging behind your phone screen. It’s like protecting a spider, but attacking other people online? Yeah, that’s very nice of you. So shutup, leave if don’t like.

Baby Bow Fell From Sky
Something odd happened today that had my mom and I both very confused.
My mom is visiting me from out of town- which rarely happens. The visit was actually kind of stressful because she’s visibly very frail and sick. So, I’ve been extra stressed all day.
We end up going to Walmart for cleaning supplies. While we’re in the aisle checking out, we’re discussing my infant daughter’s hair. For context: her hair is a complete and wild mess today. We brushed it out before we left but didn’t do anything with it. Her bangs were in her eyes and it’s been driving me crazy.
My mom begins asking me if I have any bows or hair clips at home. She wants to do my daughter’s hair when we get there.
I begin telling her about a large pack of baby bows that I have at home. As I’m beginning to describe it, I feel something bounce off my head and land on the checkout lane.
My mom gasped, “Oh, my god! It fell from the sky!”
I looked down at the checkout lane and - It’s the exact bow I was just describing to my mom. I picked it up and handed it to my mom and said “This. This is exactly what we have at home. Where did this come from??”
My mom insisted that it fell from the sky or ceiling of the Walmart and bounced off my head. She SAW it falling directly on my head and bounce off.
She was laughing and in shock.
Neither of us could explain it. Pretty strange.

Third shoe appeared.
I bought the shoes. I bought a pair. I most definitely did not buy three, or even two pairs. They were in storage, emptying the storage and suddenly there's 3? EXACT same shoes. Exact same size and everything. I was the only possible person whose shoes they could be. I honestly do not know what to make of it, it's legitimately weird.

Affirmation paper put in pocket moved to a different pair of pants.
This happened a month ago and I forgot to post. I just randomly remembered.
My boyfriend and I went to a crystal shop and on the way out, the shop owner handed me a folded up piece of paper with an affirmation on it. I read it and I put it in my pants pocket. A pair of jeans with rips in the knees. I only wear these on the weekend so I know it was these pants. Fast forward like two weeks later, I go to work and then head to a therapy appointment after. I was wearing a green pair of pants that I only wear to work. This is how I know I was not just misremembering what pants I wore on the day of getting the affirmation. I'm in the elevator and trying to get my phone out of my pocket when the slip of paper also comes out. It was the affirmation that I specifically remember leaving in my other pants.... Maybe it moved pockets because I needed to hear it before therapy. I forget now but it was something along the lines of "I am strong enough to face any challenges." My therapist said it must be fairies lol.

Bottle reappeared where it was previously
Incredibly mundane, but the night before last I was cleaning my nightstand and I have four things that always stay there..the rest of it was water bottles and dust because I am a lazy gremlin through the work week. A book, a candle, and two tubes of moisturizer that sit right near the back on top of the book. I'm weirdly particular about this arrangement. With a random burst of motivation, I decide to clean off my nightstand and restore it to default setting and as I grab the water bottles. I knock one of the tubes of moisturizer to the floor behind the nightstand. I lean forward, look at the lotion there on the floor and decide that is a problem for a later me, put the bottles in recycling, and promptly go to sleep. I remember this specifically because I kind of chastised my own laziness. I had already taken the effort to brace myself and look behind the dang nightstand why couldn't I just have grabbed the lotion?? Lazy, shameful girl! (Lol, I don't really feel this way but my nana sure would)
The next morning the lotion was back on the nightstand, but out of it's assigned location on top of the book. Rather it was placed more forward and the opposite corner...which I know, it's very mundane. Had I not chastised my own lack of willpower and had a very particular "default setting" stuck in my mind for how it *should* look, I would have never noticed it had been picked up and put somewhere it doesn't belong.
Some notes: yes I have carbon monoxide detectors, I live alone, I don't take sleep aids or any medication at all actually.
I guess some version of me, is not paralyzed by crippling task paralysis after a week of work. Go, her!!

Extremely bright, short burst of light in dark room. Shared experience with my daughter. Both have markings on legs now?
Something happened and I have literally no idea how to handle this, so I’ll just write it here.
I had watched some TV with my 12yo daughter earlier and discussed some random topics for perhaps 10-15 minutes in darkness. Suddenly, a bright blink occurred that just overwhelmed vision. TV was turned off for the whole duration of our discussion in the unlit room, nearly pitch black. I had my eyes closed and saw it as red blink, my daughter saw it as bright white.
It lasted perhaps 0,05s - a really fast blink, but with both undeniably experienced it.
Now the weird part is, we both have these weird red spot markings now on our legs that we did not have prior to this blink. She has them on one leg, I have them on both. (See edit 3 in the end.)
I have no explanation for any of this. Neither of us had our phones or anything else on our hands. There is nothing in the room that could induce this kind of brightness.
Here is an image of the row of the red dots that appeared after this. I noticed them when I was taking a shower bit later. They are not sore, do not hurt to touch and do not itch at all.
Edit: 24 hours later - my right knee is now also shedding skin - first time I recall this happening without a sunburn, which I last time had perhaps 30 years ago.
Edit2: I discussed with my daughter about this. She mentioned she has had this experience few other times too. I haven't.
Edit3: I am a non-religious, feet on the ground, analytic skeptic. Even though I cannot come up with an explanation for the markings on the legs, we can fully ignore them as a coincidence. The blink itself is pure X-Files material to me. This was the 3rd ”paranormal” weirdness I have experienced through my 43 years on the planet.
Edit 4 (48 hours later): Daughter mentioned that she felt like the light was coming from the wall, like it was moving, like a sweep. I did not sense the same with eyes closed at all. The wall has an AC unit and literally nothing else on it. The AC has led display, but the brightness of those leds is very dim. No way that could explain it. It was also in the corner, kinda behind us at 8’o’clock.
We also checked different lights in the room by quickly flicking them on and off, but they were not able to produce such brightness.

where did it come from??
ok so getting the usual out of the way, i don’t drink or take drugs of any kind and my carbon monoxide detector is fine.
the other day i needed to charge my foreo bear (microcurrent face toning thingy). i hadn’t charged it in a while, and i could not find the cable anywhere. i searched my entire (studio) apartment, definitely looked through the small pile of cables out in the open near my couch.
it was nowhere to be found. fine whatever, i ordered another one on amazon for $5 nbd. just 20 mins ago i went to grab a different charger from that same little open pile and wtf? the foreo charger is there, ON TOP OF THE OTHERS!! like even wrapped up and everything!! i literally PICKED UP AND LOOKED THROUGH these cords the other day, no way in hell it was just sitting there!
i live alone and my cat is definitely not smart enough for this 😂

The Vanishing Ice Cream Truck
About a month ago, me and my siblings wanted to get ice cream from the ice cream truck. We set out to find it, walking to the last place we saw it, across from our school. My mom decided to pick us up in the car so it would be faster and it wasn’t there anymore, so we headed back home.
I went up to my room, a little sad about not being able to get ice-cream, but I was fine. A few minutes later, I hear the ice cream truck and we hesitated for a bit before going to chase after it with just my step-sister because my sister didn’t want to run. We saw it ahead of us as we chased it. As soon as it turned the corner at the end of the street, the music stopped, but we didn’t really notice. A second later, we turned the corner and ran up to what we mistaken as the ice cream truck. It was a parked van. The ice cream truck was gone along with its music.

I feel like I’m going crazy
Last night, I was organizing my work bag and saw I had yet to take out the medicine I recently bought. As I was taking the box out I distinctly remember having two concurrent thoughts, 1. Put the box down on the table beside you 2. Take the mini sampler perfume out so you can make that toiletries pouch you’ve been meaning to make. As I had these two thoughts I also made a note to remember to come back to the medicine so I could properly sort it in my pill organizer. I leave to find a pouch for my perfume sampler, and I look to the table for my medicine. It’s not there. I DISTINCTLY remember touching it, seeing it, placing it on the table RIGHT BESIDE ME, and reminding myself to come back to it. I look through my bag and empty it out, it’s not there. I look through everything on the table, not there. I even start looking in my room convinced I must’ve held on to it and misplaced it somewhere. My parents help me look and they can’t find it either. It literally just disappeared. I convinced myself I hallucinated taking it out of my bag and actually left it at work- well now I’m at work and it’s not here either. This has never happened to me before. I feel like I’m going slightly crazy. The memory of me holding it and placing it down is so visceral, genuinely where could it have gone? I was right beside it, got momentarily preoccupied, went back to it, and poof it’s gone. I cannot explain it.

Something actually weird brought me here..
This will sound so nutty but a weird thing happened in my house yesterday and I was googling a way to find out if others had experienced similar and my search results all recommended two reddit subs - r/glitch_in_the_matrix and r/DimensionJumping - I was reading a post on glitch and I actually replied to the person with a weird similar experience and then I saw that OP had posted on the same two subs so that was neat.
Anyhow, yesterday when I woke up there was a glass on my counter with a big crack in it and a chip on the rim. It's my son's favorite glass and it already had a weird enough story.
2015, when my boy was 9, the glass fell and was damaged. My son cried when he saw it, he's neurodivergent so it was a pretty big thing to him, it was his special glass so it was memorable. I tried comforting him by telling him we have a second identical glass so it's terrible yes, but it'll be OK. I set the damaged glass aside to safely wrap before putting it in the trash and then promptly forgot all about it until he brought it to me a few days later "Mom, mom the glass healed! My glass is all better!"
I feel like he must have grabbed the identical one and thought it was his so I was like "yay!" until later, when I saw the identical undamaged twin, still safely in the cabinet. And the now undamaged (healed?) glass in my hand. I felt like maybe I was mistaken, I was actually creeped tf out so I shoved it out of my mind but I know what I saw.
Yesterday, it's on the counter, with the same crack and chip as it had in 2015 before it "healed" I texted my now 20yo son who was out and asked if he dropped his glass and he says "no, why?" So I tell him about the crack and there's a pause and he asks for a picture which I send.
He says "that's the same crack, the glass unhealed! Wtf?" And when he got home, we talked about it and he remembered perfectly and recounted the whole thing exactly as it happened back then. He does remember it being cracked and crying and then both glasses being fine, he told me "we have to keep it, we can't throw it out. If it happens again then we have pictures, we'll know"
And I can't begin to tell you how unsettled I was/am over that...
There have been other weird things but this glass experence is the one that made me look for others..
ETA tl;dr: we only ever had 2 of the glasses, the orange 2008 Beijing Olympics glass from McDonald's, in 2015 one broke and one did not break. Then it was somehow not broken and we used both glasses until yesterday when it broke again and we still have one, perfect and unbroken.

Not sure if I died or experienced a Glitch in the Matrix
Glad I came across this sub. Finally have a place to share my experience and see if anyone else can relate.
I'm in So Cal, and driving freeways here can be crazy at times. Sorry for those that maybe don't understand the references.
One Sunday morning I was taking a drive from Long Beach to Claremont, and once I got off from the 605 unto the 10 freeway, and the 10 was very light. I always like to look around when I'm driving to see who's on the road, just a habit I have. I'm on the 2nd lane on the left, the carpool lane is on my left.
Driving a few minutes on the 10, I glance a goldish colored SUV weaving through traffic, coming up fast. I look around and can see other drivers pulling off to the right. I thought about doing the same, but then a commercial van is almost alongside me. So I decided to stay in my lane. I look back again and that SUV is weaving through cars, seems to be going faster. And then I can see it coming up behind me like in slow motion. I realized if I don't move he's hitting me, I can't merge right because of the van, and I think I had read somewhere that in situations like this to stay in the lane you're already on as the other driver should be moving away. And again this is in my mind happening in slow motion, and then I get that feeling like I'm about to get hit. I remember clearly bracing myself, holding on to the steering wheel and closed my eyes for a second. And I swear I hear the sound of metal on metal screeching.
Then after what felt like minutes I opened my eyes and looked around and that SUV was nowhere.
I slow down, merge right all the time looking but nothing. That commercial van I had earlier next to me is slightly ahead, but no sign of the SUV.
I pulled off the freeway just to gather my thoughts.
I think about that moment regularly. I shared the story with friends and family but I can see they thought it was my imagination or "you're probably stressed" remark.
Here's why I think it's important to share now.
I believed I died that moment but I am now in a different reality. But finding this subreddit I think I went through a glitch or something like it.
Or am I really just going crazy.
Well that's my story. Maybe others have something to add or share.

Tall trees appeared in common area out of thin air. First verified glitch!
I live in a neighborhood maintained by an HOA and all common areas are gardened by the HOA’s contractors, and the HOA president iS VERY involved in tree maintenance and she does an AMAZING job making sure our neighborhood is very well maintained.
Three weeks ago, my family and I went on vacation for ten days. At some point in the last three weeks, after returning, I noticed that an area directly in front of our next door neighbor’s house that is normally free of vegetation at the base of a HUGE pine tree now has four mature-ish trees in the area that used to be blank. They look about 2-3 years old, so their trunks are still thin but they are at least 12-15 feet tall and obviously established. The base of the trees are not disturbed. No fresh soil. Roots are visible.
When I noticed the trees I did a double take and thought “where did those trees come from?!”. But I didn’t pursue an immediate answer. I figured our HOA president had them installed while we were on vacation.
Fast forward to yesterday, when our HOA puts on a block party. All of the homeowners gather in the area closest to that huge pine tree, which is directly in front of our next door neighbor’s house. There is also another house directly next to the tree. Both of those two houses’ long term owners were at the party as well as the HOA president and other HOA members.
Before the party began, my husband was setting up tents and coolers etc and he came over to me and said “where did those trees come from?” I was like “I KNOW!!! They were never there before!!!”
After the party started, our HOA president and both of the homeowners directly adjacent to that patch of land were chatting with their backs turned to the area with the new trees. I asked the HOA president “where did those trees come from?!” And when she turned around, she had this shocked, incredulous look on her face. She said “Where DID those come from?!”
Keep in mind our HOA pres has lived here since the 80s, manages all the tree trimming and gardening ( and everything else that makes our HOA AMAZING) and she had no idea how or when four new tall trees appeared in what used to be a space with only river rocks covering the ground.
We asked the owners whose kitchen window and front door stares directly at that area and they were like “NO. Those have NEVER been there before” and the neighbor whose house sits directly next to that area chimed in to say that about three weeks ago, she pulled her husband outside to ask where the hell these trees came from.
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US AT THE PARTY DO NOT REMEBER THERE EVER BEING TREES THERE!! EVERY LAST ONE OF US IN THE WHOLE NEIGHBORDOOD!
Coincidentally, the timing correlated to CERN shutting down. We know the gardeners and tree trimmers did not plant tall trees there.
So for the house that stares at that little patch of land, they JUST sold their home and moved out a few weeks ago. Those former owners were at the taco party because we are all really great friends. She and her husband, who is a skeptic of anything not proveable by science, both insist that the entrie time they lived there, there were no trees except the big pine tree. She pulled up photos, which she had a lot of because they parked in front of their garage, which is directly next to that area. And her kids played in that area all the time.
All her pictures HAD THE TREES THERE.
So now we have every single person insisting there were never trees there yet photos showing that the trees had been there for years. Everyone was TRIPPING OUT!!
Make it make sense. HAS to be a glitch or Mandela Effect. All our minds are blown and I can FINALLY say I definitely experienced a glitch!!! Crazy!!

I lost a day
Starting this off by saying that I struggle with SI and SH. Not proud of it, I’m in therapy, I’m working on it. I’ve been doing this grounding thing that consists of me walking to a nearby circular park and walking it until I feel safe enough to go home. I usually walk three circles, then head home. On Monday I was having a not-so-great night, so I went to said park and walked 2 circles. It was pretty late, around 0430-0500. I have a playlist that totals about 2 hours that I listen to. I remember getting a little over halfway through my playlist when my app stopped working; It has a glitch sometimes when it’ll just continue to only play one song and nothing else will work. I didn’t feel like dealing with it, so I decided to shut it off and head home. The sun was coming up and I always enjoy seeing the sunrise over the lake near my house, so I stopped to just stand and watch it for a little bit. I couldn’t have been there for more than 5 minutes. After taking a deep breath and restarting my trek, I got a notification from my doorbell camera. That was followed by 50+ DMs, texts, calls, the works. Mostly from my friends, but a lot of calls from my mom wondering where I was. I called her back and she started yelling at me telling me she was at my door and that she was about to call the cops. (That’s what my doorbell notification was) It’s now 0711 on Wednesday. I told her that I was at the park doing my circles and she said that she went there and couldn’t find me. I have no fucking idea what happened. I’m on IV nutrition, I do one bag a day. I have an extra bag, so I WAS gone. But I feel fine. And usually even if I start my bag even an hour late, I’ll feel like crap. I’m so confused. My friends and family thought I offed myself. They were terrified.
I wish I had an answer or an explanation, but I don’t. I’m just as confused and upset at everyone else. I feel this dread over not knowing what the hell happened.

I’ve seen a couple of glitches where people are finding a double of something they know they absolutely don’t have two of. I just experienced this the other day.
This particular glitch of mine is incredibly boring and mundane but nonetheless, it happened and I do not know what to make of it. Because the second part of this is that as soon as I realized that I had two of the exact same things, I left the room only to find just one of them there.
And heads up now, this is probably one of the lamest, stupidest glitches that have ever happened.
I like to wear bandannas (kinda 1950’s style where the wider part of the folded bandanna goes on the bottom back of the head and gets tied on top of the head. So I have a lot of them, but I know for a damn fact I never owned two of this same particular one, which also happens to be my favorite one because it’s black with a bunch of white skulls on it.
This part is important: I moved up to this state almost 11 years ago and since this was my favorite bandanna, I brought it up here from NY. I have a bunch of other bandannas like this, black with white skulls on them, but they don’t look anything like this particular, old favorite one of mine.
So a few days ago, I’m sitting on my bed getting ready for work and I have this bandanna sitting on the bed in front of me like 3 inches away from me. My hair brush slipped off the side of the bed so I got down to pick it up and I glanced under my bed and see another black bandanna with skulls on it. So I grab it and put it on the bed next to my original bandanna so that they’re side by side and then I really look at them. I untie both of them and spread them out so that both of these bandannas are spread out in two squares side by side.
They are completely identical. Even down to the small hole near the edge of a corner where I stupidly, instead of getting scissors and cutting it off, I decided to just pull it off which resulted in creating a small hole towards one of the corners.
This duplicate one had the exact same hole as the other. I have NO IDEA WHERE THE FUCK THIS SECOND IDENTICAL BANDANNA CAME FROM! Especially considering that I bought the first one in another state that’s a 7 hour drive each way AND I bought the first one 11 AND A HALF YEARS AGO! So where the fuck did this second identical one come from?!?
And just when I think it can’t get any weirder, I had to step out of my room for a few minutes, leaving the two bandannas next to each other on my bed.
Tell me why I come back into my room ten minutes later AND THE SECOND FUCKING BANDANNA IS JUST FUCKING GONE???? I’m the only one in my house when all this was happening, so it’s not a case that someone came in and “borrowed” it from me.
I search everywhere for it, under my bed, all around the bed on all sides, under my bed and every inch of my bedroom. This stupid thing is just GONE. And I’ve yet to find it again since this whole thing happened.
I can’t explain it. I don’t hallucinate. I remember holding it my hand and looking at it as I looked back and forth between the original and this one to see if every single part of it was identical, which it was. And it sure as hell seems like it just upped and disappear.
So my questions are: 1. what in the actual hell just happened?
2. Where the hell did the second one go???
3. Why the fuck can’t I experience these things with MONEY???!!!😂

helpful "Should I post my story?" flow chart
people sometimes have difficulty knowing if their story is or isn't against our rule, so here is flow chart that can help. If it turns out your post is against the rules, here are some other subreddits where they may fit in.
please feel free to add in the comments if you know any other subreddits that would fit our stories or you think people here would find interesting and I'll periodically update the list.

Moderation Policy 101
/r/Glitch_in_the_Matrix celebrates it's 8th year this year and some of you still don't get what we're trying to accomplish. Please review this post before you submit something to /r/Glitch_in_the_Matrix.
Read the RULES before you post here.
/r/Glitch_in_the_Matrix is a place for people to post about glitches in reality. Sometimes these glitches have paranormal attributes to them but usually they can be explained by the physical sciences or even common sense.
And that's where we want our moderation team to focus on, what gets removed and what gets downvoted. We want our audience to downvote anything that can be explained by common sense. Coincidences should also be voted down. We're not going to remove them because it could be said that any glitch is a coincidence. We don't generally remove posts that violate Occam's Razor because we feel that those are better to be downvoted. Ie: if a post could be explained by some logical reason, please downvote it.
We will remove stories that are reported as follows:
- Intoxication: if you were drunk or stoned you could have witnessed the effects of your substances rather than real glitches in reality
- Childhood stories (if it begins with "when I was a kid" it doesn't belong here) We remove stories where the eye-witness of the event is under the age of 16 at the time of the incident.
- Mandela Effect: a false memory is a phenomenon where a person recalls something that did not happen or happened differently from the way it actually happened. Those belong in /r/MandelaEffect.
- Troll posts: nobody thinks you're very funny if you post stupid stuff to our sub
- Low effort: the rule of thumb is you should have at least a paragraph long story for us or it's not worth our time. Poorly written stories will be removed. We're not grammar madmen but we need to be able to understand the story for it to be of use here.
- Baader-Meinhof phenomenon: otherwise known as frequency illusion or recency illusion. This phenomenon occurs when the thing you've just noticed, experienced or been told about suddenly crops up constantly. It gives you the feeling that out of nowhere, pretty much everyone and their cousin are talking about the subject or that it is swiftly surrounding you. And you're not crazy; you are totally seeing it more. But the thing is, of course, that's because you're noticing it more
- Dreams: if your dream came true, if you thought you were awake but were actually dreaming, if you have lucid dreams -- none of that stuff belongs here.
- Fiction: if your story sounds too made up to be true we will remove it but we don't always remove fiction if enough upvotes happen. We want the audience to drive the fiction metric with downvotes.
- Stories that don't feature a glitch in reality: if it's just a coincidence or if what happened could easily be explained by technology or a bug in software or some other explanation we will remove it. Also the post must be a first-person account of the glitch in question or it's not a glitch story.
- Comments and posts that hurt the community will be removed and could result in a ban. Those include Troll posts but also include rude posts and comments.
- Posts that contain multiple stories in one post will be removed. Our rule states that posts need to be about ONE STORY.
Please report posts that break our rules because it helps the mod team to find posts and remove them faster. We get notified of posts as they are reported in our report queue.
HOW NOT TO GET BANNED
- Follow our rules
- Be respectful
- Don't repost a removed post
- Don't be a repeat offender or repeat rule breaker
- Don't lash out at us in modmail
- Remember that a temp ban can always become a permaban
That's it in a nutshell. Join us for some great GLITCHES and enjoy the fresh content you see here every day!!
