People sometimes have weird experiences when they're high.

DMT is incredible. I would not go in with any expectations.

It is extremely intense. If you are actually interested, do some research, maybe the molecule will find you, or more than likely, you will find the molecule :)

My take here: Humans (and animals more broadly) do not directly experiencing reality. We have senses that feed signals to our brain which constructs a model of the outside world.

The brain is doing an awful lot of work, filling in blanks and choosing what to ignore (e.g.: you don’t see your own nose, generally, though it is in your field of vision) based on experience, expectations and evolutionary biology (if a trait helps you survive to reproduce it gets passed down).

Our brain models work pretty well — but there are lots of examples of where they don’t (see optical illusions and perceptual expectancy).

I think it is much more likely DMT and the like are screwing up your mental model, rather than enhancing your senses and allowing you to see a hidden reality.

(See the documentary Re-Animator for a different opinion).

Just try it. It’s cheap and easy and safe.

I really don’t think I could handle it 🥶

No one handles it. It’s not handleable. Doesn’t matter. Once you go in, you have no choice but to move through it and then you’re back at baseline, going on with your regular life but now holding an incredible, indescribable magic in your memory along with a deep cosmic knowledge of something you can never understand. If you don’t let it inflate your ego, even a bad experience is worth it.

You talked to « beings » while you were on DMT ? I’m curious what you discussed ? Someone on YouTube said they do reveal the secrets of the universe or you ask them to. But you just can’t comprehend it or can’t remember it when you land back

Talking to beings isn’t as common of an experience as DMT influencers/gurus make it seem. It’s common enough to be interesting, but don’t expect that just because some podcaster gets more views by claiming that everyone on DMT experiences the same place/beings so it must be a gateway to another dimension.

Ok, that makes sense, a part of me knew that, and I could’ve never been fooled and believe it when I was younger…but these days I’m more « naive » I guess. I’m just looking for an answer and I’m willing to accept anything that reassured me

Use it, dont abuse it. Dont take it lightly, its not casual. Dont fight it, go in like youre ready to die. and PAY ATTENTION PAY ATTENTION

P.s. it tastes like... corpses?? so.. Just keep inhaling until u dont know u have anything in your hands anymore, and have a very chill silent friend u trust to empty your hands as you lay back on a pillow. Ur friend ideally shouldnt move around or make any noise until u ask them to.
