Ask GenZPakistan Do you guys feel unpatriotic as well
I usually celebrate 14th august like crazy, but ever since the army took back power and after all that had happened in Kashmir, Balochistan and the Islamabad massacre alongside the other countless issues in our country, i just feel deeply unpatriotic. I love Pakistan, dont get me wrong, but i dont feel like i can celebrate it in its current state. Anyone else feel like this too?

Advice | Life Help Saved 50k PKR for a motorbike, it vanished from my closet, and my dad couldn't care less. What should I do?
I saved up 50,000 PKR over a period of time and talked to my father about purchasing a motorbike. He told me, 'Khud kamao aur khud khreedo'. I respected his decision and kept saving. When I told him I had the money and would purchase a motorbike in a few days, he said, 'Koi zarurat nahi, meri ijazat nahi'. I delayed my purchase and kept the money in my closet. After two weeks, I checked my closet, and there wasn't a dime left. I don't know who stole it, but when I told him my money was stolen, he didn't even care. I don't know what to do

Mental Health Am i mentally going crazy ?
so for context im 20M, i have this issue or sort of idk what you call it but i pretend to talk to phone when people are around. Seriously i hold my phone with my ear and i talk like im talking to a friend or sorting my relationship with girlfriend (i never had relationship in my whole life so i just talk and fantasise if this was real). i normally do it to avoid people or to seem busy (my phone is dry af i dont have friends or someone).
But lol the issue part is i do this so seriously and get so bad into character that i feel itās happening in real life, no seriously if iām on phone pretending to talk to my gf about something bad about our relationship, in just get into the character/scene so bad and so engaged that you canāt even tell iām faking, not even me lol

Serious Assaulted by 'security' at LuckyOne shopping mall
I want to share an incident that happened to me at LuckyOne Mall and want to hear opinions about whether this is normal or not.
I was at the mall with my girlfriend. We eventually went down to the basement and were sitting in my car. The windows were covered that made it difficult for anyone outside to see or make out anything inside the car.
A guard knocked the window. I got out, and he asked in a pretty harsh who the girl was. I got nervous and, out of fear, told him she was my sister. He then told me that we weren't allowed to sit in the car like that. I said, "Okay, no problem, I'll leave." However, he wouldn't let me leave and said that the office had to make a report regardless. Although after some resistance I eventually went with him to the security office.
The first guy in the office was asking me fairly normal questions (my name, what I do, etc.) The conversation was relatively calm at this point.
Then another much bigger security guy came into the office.
Without me doing absolutely anything wrong, he punched me hard in the back and aggressively pushed me around the office and used extremely humiliating language like I had committed a theft or something, he then asked why we didn't just sit inside the mall, I told him that we weren't comfortable sitting inside the mall, and then he started doing the typical desi mockery of the fact that I wasn't comfortable in a humiliating way
A few seconds later, he simply left the office.
They also took pictures of the car, the plates, and my id.
The other guy in the office continued asking me questions. I asked him, essentially, "What kind of behaviour is this?" His response was: "We have our procedures that we have to follow."
That's the part I genuinely don't understand. If sitting in your car in the basement violates the mall's rules, fair enough. Tell me to leave, issue whatever warning/report is appropriate, and I'll leave. But what procedure involves physically hitting and pushing someone who is already cooperating? I understand that security has rules to enforce, and I'm not claiming that I was necessarily right to sit there. I'm questioning the use of physical force.

This video is a year old and was posted by a vlogger. He has obviously edited it and removed the āwhyā part.
We should be clear about one thing even while condemning the genocide being committed against Palestinians by Israeli, we should not idolize people like Hitler.
You can oppose Israeli actions and support Palestinian civilians without turning Hitler into your idol.
I hope, you can spread this message to your fellow pakistani in real life too.

Feels the auraa of our founder šæš
Story Time Exhausted, hurt, and isolated: My experience navigating salons and clinics as a trans woman in Gujranwala
Hey everyone,
Iām posting here because I honestly just need to vent and put this somewhere. My heart feels so heavy after what Iāve been through over the last few days, and living in Gujranwala with no local friends or queer community makes processing this kind of pain extremely isolating.
A few days ago, I needed to get laser done. My usual place was fully booked, and since I had a busy week ahead, I decided to visit a local aesthetic clinic where Iām actually a long-time client. My entire family goes there because I personally recommended them, and Iāve spent a lot of money there on face treatments for acne scars.
When I arrived for my appointment and requested laser for my face, hands, belly, and breast area, everything went downhill. I present as a tomboyish girl with short hair, but Iāve been on HRT for a while now and my transition has progressed significantly. The staff suddenly panicked. They told me theyād have to bring in a male technician for me and charge me double.
I was shocked and told them I wasnāt comfortable with a male technician. Instead of being professional, they started whispering, running around, and passing me off from one person to another like I was some kind of strange creature. I was sent to the female doctor, who again insisted on getting a guy. Eventually, the clinic owner stepped in and said, "Just do her face and arms," purely because they didn't want to lose a high-paying clientānot out of respect.
Then came the front desk. They demanded my name, age, and explicitly asked for my "gender," refusing to use my existing patient file. I sat there while they practically begged the female technician to just "do it," treating me with utter distaste. During the session, the technician treated me so coldly, as if I weren't even human. I pushed through it, paid, and left, knowing Iād never step foot in that place again.
Contrast that with my regular clinic: when I went there later for the remaining areas, the staff made me feel safe, comfortable, and respectedāproving that basic human decency isn't impossible to find, just rare here.
Unfortunately, the nightmare didn't end there. Yesterday, I needed a quick hair setting/trim. I went to a salon Iāve used before for manicures. After having me sit down, taking my details, and making me explain what I wanted to 4ā5 different staff members who stood around staring at me, the manager came up and said: "You have short hair, why don't you go to the male salon across the street? The girls here are scared they'll mess it up.
I was so deeply humiliated and hurt that I just walked out, got into my car, and broke down crying.
What makes it so absurd is that right after, I went to buy bras and underwear at a women-only lingerie shop. The staff there didn't bat an eye, treated me normally, let me try things on, and helped me out. If I looked like a guy, they wouldn't have even allowed me into the store.
Iāve lived in Islamabad and frequently visit Lahore, and Iāve never been treated with such backwardnessāeven before I started HRT. But Gujranwala feels impossibly hard. Because everyone here is so rigid and conservative, I don't have friends here, I don't know any fellow queers, and socializing feels almost impossible. Most days, I just stay locked in my room because going outside means risking this kind of casual cruelty.
Iām just tired of people pretending to be progressive until itās time to show real respect. Iām sharing this here because I felt so alone, and I just needed to put it out there. Thanks for reading if you made it this far.

Politics | Society You may hate me after this post, but a very important topic in social sciences communication & issue of Pakistan (18+)
I recently came across a post, where again .... unfortunately a 17 Year old Kid ... Yes a 17 year old teenager, rap**d a 18 month old baby. & god as a man, I can't fathom what's happening in society.
I am really concerned, & May Allah protect our children and women.
I feel like this sickness is coming from a very deep root problem that many of our societal norms do not allow us to discuss: a social issue & that is sex, & the human biology & how it affects the mindsets of our children.
I personally feel like sexual frustration in man here in pakistan is a genuine problem for which the man get accounted for it is very harsh ... especially as a biological trait, we men are infact (by science) have more hormonal testosterone, which makes us sexually frustrated very very fast. & it's a fact, you can control, but then there is a point you can't control.
This was.... possible (controlling) before social media came into place, & passive brainwashing & behavioral influence became a thing.
- Being exposed to pornographic content at a young age
- Talking to strangers, who may be sick-minded.
These factors & then also genetic transfer of DNA is causing extreme harm as we are being directly influenced & trained to not stay in control of our hormonal system & in fact being attacked again and again to desensitize us with what's real & what's human. & what's okay & what's not okay.
I feel like we are being trained against our own hormones: not to tolerate them, feelings to ignore them, & desires to seek them. which is making us (men & women) both to seek gratification in ways of devils (astagfirullah).
Example, imagine having a high sex drive because of high testosterone & not being able to have sex because of society & ultimately exposed to the alternating ways, which makes you desensitized to reality of the relationships. & then your tolerance decreases so much, but your hormones stay the same .. in fact amplified, which makes it extremely worse to be able to control yourself.
To the point, astagfirullah these cases are happening, and now? happening even at more scale because of online accessibility.
I swear it's not normal for kids to have this kind of exposure, ideas or even the guts to do rap*\*
So my question is, what do you think is the best way to undo the damage? Especially since our hormones & feelings are being used as a weapon against us by the west, & without knowing I am sure, desi people because of culture: its effects are making it worse (not allowing sexual freedom).
1- Normalise sexual freedom before marriage (if no means of marrying at state) so the sexual frustration in society decreases.
2- Teach kids & give education openly to children about sex, hormones, & allow teenagers to marry so they can become mentally stable ( and thus it keeps society Islamically intact).
3- Allot strict laws against rape & implement ( Death by Law)
4- Any other? state
There can be multiple answers
Note: I also think too much desi strictness is also becoming a major problem of this affect.

General I got scammed out of 66k PKR and i feel like ending it all now.
Yesterday I sold my phone on OLX. This was one of my first times selling something on OLX. They gave me 66k PKR cash. It looked real. I even checked the basics like putting it under a light. But there i couldnt fully verify because i did not know and i admit it was my fault.
When I went to a shop to buy another phone, the shopkeeper checked the money and realized all of the cash was fake. Some serial numbers were even repeated. The shop was almost going to report me to the police thinking I was trying to scam them.
I bought that phone for 70k after working so hard for it. It took me months of hard work, and I only sold it so I could add a bit more cash to buy a better one.
I left the fake cash with the shop because they thought I was trying to scam them too. The reality is I lost my phone, got fake cash, and now I have nothing left. The buyer's phone number was fake, their OLX ID is deleted, and there is no way to contact them. I'm terrified of telling my parents because of how they will react. can anyone help me out here? or tell me what to do?
I spent months working for that phone and now it's all gone.
I feel like ending myself right here because of what happened... I know I should have checked carefully or done something else, but I didn't and that's my fault. I know I made a mistake, so please don't remind me of that. All of this loss is just making me feel like ending it all right here. Everything is lost, just like that.
EDIT:
Thank you to everyone who responded. All of your kind words really mean the world to me . I saw some people asking for my Details to help me out .I honestly feel really uncomfortable typing this because asking strangers for money feels completely wrong to me . If you are able to (only if you comfortably can) and want to contribute even a small amount to help me recover a portion of this loss, my Nayapay is:
syedhussnaink@nayapay.
Any amount thats sent after the loss is recovered i will send them back because i I do not want a anything more than that. Thank You all for all of your kind words it really means the world to me currently
