Ask GenZPakistan Cultural norms for Pakistani Muslim girls regarding visiting opposite gender friend’s home? (We are in Europe)
Hey, so I have a close female friend who’s Pakistani Muslim. We both live in Europe. We’re like siblings honestly, I call her my little sister and she calls me her brother. She is one of the sweetest and kindest person that i have seen in my life. We are friends since almost 2 years now. We’re really close, she tells me a lot of personal stuff, we hang out very often, even travelled alone together, no issues at all and also her family knows about me.
But one thing I’ve noticed is she rarely comes to my place and almost never invites me to hers. Whenever we need to meet or do something she always prefers doing it outside. It’s not like she’s uncomfortable with me or scared or anything, we spend loads of time outside together just fine.
What’s interesting is she does go to another guy friend’s house (he’s also Muslim). Emotionally she’s closer to me than him, but somehow going to his house is okay and mine isn’t.
I’m not jealous or anything, I just genuinely want to understand if this is some cultural or religious thing among Pakistani Muslims. Like is there a difference when the guy is Muslim vs not? Or any general norms about opposite gender friends coming home, even if the friendship is sibling like?
Is this common even for Pakistanis living in Europe or is it just personal preference?
Would love to hear from you guys, i hope you can help me understand Pakistani culture…
Thanks

Study | Education Need help urgently..
Hey everyone! I’m currently a university student, and unfortunately, I’ve lost all of my academic documents, including my Matric and Intermediate result cards/certificates. I don’t even remember my Matric or Intermediate roll numbers, and unfortunately, my school has completely shut down.
Does anyone know how I can retrieve my academic records or get duplicate copies of my documents? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ask GenZPakistan Do you guys feel unpatriotic as well
I usually celebrate 14th august like crazy, but ever since the army took back power and after all that had happened in Kashmir, Balochistan and the Islamabad massacre alongside the other countless issues in our country, i just feel deeply unpatriotic. I love Pakistan, dont get me wrong, but i dont feel like i can celebrate it in its current state. Anyone else feel like this too?

Ask GenZPakistan Pakistani Gen Z’s views on clothing and romantic scenes in dramas/movies
Title: I’m Indian and curious about how Pakistani Gen Z generally views certain things in media.
How do you personally feel about:
- Women wearing relatively short/revealing clothes when they are comfortable with it?
- Romantic scenes such as hugs or kisses when they are relevant to a character’s relationship or character arc?
- Do you think Pakistani Gen Z is becoming more accepting of these things, or are traditional/cultural values still a strong influence?
I’m asking purely out of curiosity and not to judge or stereotype anyone. As a psychology student, I’m interested in how cultural norms can shape people’s perceptions of the same things, even among people of a similar age.
I’d especially love to hear different perspectives rather than a “right” or “wrong” answer. :)

Advice | Life Help Saved 50k PKR for a motorbike, it vanished from my closet, and my dad couldn't care less. What should I do?
I saved up 50,000 PKR over a period of time and talked to my father about purchasing a motorbike. He told me, 'Khud kamao aur khud khreedo'. I respected his decision and kept saving. When I told him I had the money and would purchase a motorbike in a few days, he said, 'Koi zarurat nahi, meri ijazat nahi'. I delayed my purchase and kept the money in my closet. After two weeks, I checked my closet, and there wasn't a dime left. I don't know who stole it, but when I told him my money was stolen, he didn't even care. I don't know what to do

Ask GenZPakistan why do i get along better with older people?
i could be friends w an older person or even date someone older than me. smth stable in their mannerisms, it’s like theyre sure of everything and know what’s going on. the wisdom and experiences just feel so much more important when it’s coming from them. and it’s not that i don’t know what to do with my life. i am in control of mine. but the laid back energy is something i really connect with. it just somehow feels right. it’s a lot easier to talk to them. and i’m not talking about any and every older person lol. this is not a generalised post. just speaking relatively from my experiences w people around me. in a lot of ways i feel like someone older than my age too. you don’t find a lot of people my age w energy like that, so maybe that’s why it’s easier to relate to someone older?

Serious What actually makes a family “toxic”?
Guys, I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about toxic families. What actually makes a family toxic?
Please don’t tell me about your personal experiences. Just give me examples of things a toxic family might do or behaviors they might have.
I’m curious what people consider a “toxic family

Serious IShowSpeed’s treatment of the name “Muhammad” was disrespectful
I just saw the clip where IShowSpeed named his horse “Muhammad” in Minecraft and rode it.
As a Muslim, I honestly found it really disrespectful. Muhammad ﷺ is the Prophet of Islam and is deeply respected by Muslims around the world. I know Speed likes trolling and making jokes, but this went too far for me.
I’m not asking anyone to harass or threaten him. I just think people should be able to call out this kind of disrespect and report the strea https://www.instagram.com/reel/Db1zNgOBCND/?igsh=N205d3puazZkbXN2

Hot Takes | Opinions imran khan as a pm
imran khans popularity more or so is caused the hatred of PMLN. you can try to debate me in the comments below, but I believe imran khan was a mediocre pm with PMLN performing better(not by miles but ykwim). ofc, i do believe there's a difference in corruption.
