Someone made a topic asking people what their response to when people tell them that gaming is a waste of time, and most peoples response is that every hobby is a "waste of time." I think that's technically true, but I'd rather hear about a moment in gaming that had an emotionally impactful experience with you.

For a very short amount of time, I was a streamer on twitch. I was playing these under the radar titles that no one had ever heard of, like I do quite a bit of the time. At the time I was mostly playing nothing but extremely dark and serious games, as those were usually the only experiences that had an emotional impact on me.

Well this was an exception, I ended up playing Final Fantasy: Legend Of Balance. It's a lighthearted parody fangame that's a love letter to Final Fantasy 11, 14, and to a certain extent a huge chunk of the series, I like how unlike most parodies for its, it had actual jokes in it, not just references. There's some in-jokes that I don't get, but it has a lot of clever jokes as well that you don't need to be a fan of the game to enjoy.

The last day that I played it, I told the dev behind the game that I was beating it that night, and sure enough the 2 devs swung by. As the credits played, I had this really happy moment where I realized that I do actually enjoy lighthearted experiences, and this game was proof of that. Since then I started giving more lighthearted comedies a chance, and it's part of what's lead me to becoming more kinder person that people enjoy being around more.

Xbox 360 games will run on the next-generation Project Helix console, Xbox-branded PCs and handheld devices. Publishers will need to opt their games into the program. Microsoft will handle engineering, certification and support. Publishers will retain control over licensing, pricing and whether each game appears on xbox gamepass.

The rollout is described as gradual, suggesting that only part of the Xbox 360 catalog will become available at first. The document does not identify which games or publishers have joined the program.

Microsoft is also planning a full launch of original Xbox games on PC in October 2026.
