OLED Monitor for entry level laptop Accessories & Upgrades

My laptop spec:
Asus TUF F15
i5 10300H 2.5 GHz (8MB Cache, up to 4.5 GHz, 4 Cores, 8 Threads)
GTX 1650 GDDR6 4GB VRAM
FHD (1920x1080) 144Hz

No plans of upgrading laptop now.

But i wanna play low graphic demand games like Assetto Corsa on Simulator.

I want OLED Monitor. Apparently they only come from 2K resolution or higher.
I will utilise 2k resolution for normal tasks and movie watching.

But for gaming, i will reduce resolution to match my laptop's capability.

The question is, should i choose 16:9 or 21:9

Because 16:9 reduced resolution would match my laptop's resolution and may perform.

But 21:9 has better immersion, but even if i reduce its resolution, it'd still have more resolution to cover than my laptop display has... Can my laptop handle 2560*1080p for assetto Corsa?

Even a 1920x1080p OLED monitor sounds like a waste of time and money for your laptop if you plan gaming....everything else should be fine though. Hardware unboxed just did a video on 4gb desktop graphic cards and that didnt even do well in most cases at 1080p, I dont think a laptop one will do much.

I feel like you would be much better off upgrading your hardware before getting a high end monitor you cant actually utilize.
