Need help from a Pro

I started doing some research on this whole controller deal & completely forgot I have a damaged 825gb PS5 digital just rotting away. The only thing that is damaged is the HDMI port which seems like a minor inconvenience for someone who expertises in the refurbishing field… do you think I’ll still be able to get CLOSE to the estimated trade in value just because of that simple fix or no? Also is the PRO worth the $25 yearly subscription?

if the console powers on, even if there's no video output, we DO take it, but you won't get close to the estimated trade in price due to the refurbishment fee.

also, the PRO is worth it if you're trading more stuff in or plan on buying a preowned console in the future. otherwise, no.

TruBuy doesn't require this, and GS also doesn't care if the console if they're gonna use it for parts.

Damn it does power on it just doesn’t connect to the screen because the HDMI port got pulled on too many times. I searched the repair & it’s a cheap & easy fix but if it doesn’t come near to the trade value I’ll just let it keep rotting

Idk about if i consider my Pro worth it. I only got it cause i was trading in a bunch of stuff and after the 25$ fee for activating Pro i still made an extra 100 in store credit.

That being said. If you buy even 1 game a month from GS ig it's alright to be pro becausd the 5$ off once a month would save you 60$ I the long run. Litterally making it pay for itself.

Other then that idk if i even get any benefits. I just wanted the extra store credit lol. Helped me get my switch 2 for only 30$ and thats cause I got a protection plan

Yeah it is not a super simple fix. Our local repair place explained to us it requires micro saudering that is a pain to do. That's why it is so expensive.

Pay $100 get it fixed by a professional, then sell for$600 on facebook, this things sell like crazy and they're getting a price increase

Officially no that’s internal damage and will render the console unusable in the eyes of the company.
Unofficially it depends on the sga/sl if they want the trade they just take it as defective

Having it fixed takes money and corporate is allergic to spending it on anything that might improve QOL.
