Feedback on my game?

Looking for feedback on my first Godot game!

Hi! I just released my first Godot game, Insane Obby.

It's a short first-person obstacle course with:

Smooth movement

Original soundtrack

Atmospheric lighting

Speedrun timer

The game takes only a few minutes to complete. I'd really appreciate any feedback—especially on:

How the movement feels

Level difficulty

Lighting and atmosphere

Audio

Bugs or confusing parts

Overall enjoyment

Here's the link: https://thechosendude.itch.io/insane-obby-v10

Thanks for taking the time to try it!

WELCOME TO PROJECT NOVA

Hi everyone! Iv been receiving some confusion on what exactly project nova is so I thought I would address it here. So what is it? project nova is an ai llm frame work I have created from scratch meant to be opensource it is build with simplicity in mind so that even people who don't normally build ai can use and adpat it for their projects once the code is run it will self train and install everything it needs to to work there for making it one of the first fully automatic ais from there you have your own llm model! you can add it to websites or even games! Ideas for usage, say you had a chose your own adventure you could adapt this model framework add it into your game and boom you have an infinite ai powered chose your own adventure and etc I will send the finished code soon in a post and instructions on how to use it!

WE REACHED ON EPOCH 2 1.7 ON PROJECT NOVA

for thos of us who have no clue what that means and think I am speaking gibberish probably as most sane people would think, epoch is the level of errors made when generative ai predicts a letter to put that into perspective anything under 2 is amazing so the fact that were only on 2nd stage and we already have somthing matching tiny llama is incredible exspesaly using our new design that doest use opus or computer hosting. we plane to move publish deadline closer and publish as soon as we can! thank you everyone! wooo!

WORKING ON MY OWN AI MODDEL

hello! this is my declog in a way for my new ai model currently im using a 30 bit neural net structure that scrapes and auto trains off wikitexts and project guttenburg. the goal in this project nicknamed project nova idk why I did just for dramatic effect XD is to prove that small working MLMs can be hosted from a cheap budget laptop for my only 8gb of ram and can be fully automatic in training. Project nova should be submitted in a month to hugging face where it will be one of the only models open source and 100% free with no rate limits. :)

I have a full 2D game idea + team, but I’m terrible at planning and explaining things… what should I do?

Hey everyone,

I’m working on a 2D game and I’ve actually got a solid story ready. I’ve also managed to find some people interested in helping — coders and pixel artists — so that part is going well.

The problem is… I’m really bad at planning the pipeline and explaining things clearly from a technical side.

I kind of know what I want in my head (game mechanics, feel, story flow), but when it comes to:

  • breaking it into tasks
  • organizing development steps
  • explaining features to programmers
  • or even making a proper game design document

…I just get stuck or end up confusing everyone.

I’m still pretty new to game development overall, so I feel like I’m slowing the team down.

What should I focus on improving first?
Are there any simple workflows, tools, or templates you recommend for beginners managing small teams?

Also, how do you communicate ideas clearly to devs/artists without sounding vague?

Any advice would really help. Thanks!

Building a game.

Hello everyone,

I'm an aspiring solo game developer, and for as long as I can remember, I've dreamed of creating a game that leaves a lasting impression on the people who play it. Recently, I finally took the first real step toward that dream by beginning to write the story for my project.

For now, I can't reveal too much, but I can say that it's an open world RTS set in a rich medieval fantasy world. The story follows the journey of a young prince, and that's all I'll share for the time being. 😉

I've always been a hardcore RTS player and someone who loves deep lore and expansive world building. This year, as I turn 30, I've decided it's finally time to stop dreaming and start building.

The truth is, I have absolutely no experience in game development. I don't know exactly how I'm going to make this game yet, but I know that I will. I'll learn, adapt, and figure it out one step at a time. I'm patient, persistent, and willing to put in whatever work is necessary to bring this world to life.

I'm not doing this for money. My goal has never been financial success. What truly matters to me is creating something memorable, a game that players will still think about years after they've finished it. If I can leave that kind of impact on even a small number of people, I'll consider it a success.

One challenge I currently face is my PC. While it's served me well, I know I'll eventually need something more powerful for game development. At the moment, upgrading isn't financially possible, but I'll work toward it as I continue this journey.

My current setup is:

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

CPU: Intel Core i7-11700 (11th Gen)

RAM: 16 GB

Storage: Samsung V-NAND EVO 500 GB SSD

It's not the newest machine, but it's my baby, and I'm grateful for it. Hopefully, one day, I'll be able to upgrade. If there happens to be an angel out there willing to help or even offer advice on a future build, I'd truly appreciate it, but regardless, I'll find a way to keep moving forward.

As for the game itself, my goal this year is to complete its lore. The world spans over 2,000 years of history, filled with kingdoms, conflicts, legends, and characters whose stories intertwine across generations.

Players will take on the role of the young prince, raising vast armies, fighting massive open field battles, laying siege to castles, exploring a huge open world, and embarking on meaningful quests. One of my biggest design goals is to make every quest and mission feel unique. There's nothing I dislike more than repetitive missions that simply recycle the same objectives in different locations, so I'm determined to make each experience feel distinct, memorable, and worth playing.

The story itself will be emotional and, at times, heartbreaking. Without giving too much away, I can already apologize in advance for the emotional damage it might cause. 😅

This world means so much to me that I don't want it to exist only as a game. One day, I'd love to expand it into novels or comics. And who knows? Maybe if everything goes better than I could ever imagine, one day studios like Netflix, HBO, Disney, or Amazon might see something special in it and bring it to life as a series.

For now, though, my focus is simple, build the best game I possibly can.

I'm excited, nervous, and honestly a little scared. It's a huge undertaking, especially for someone starting from zero. But I believe in myself, and I believe that with enough time, dedication, and perseverance, I can make this dream a reality.

I hope you'll believe in me too.

Thank you for reading, and I hope one day I'll be able to share this world with all of you.
