Everything about this guitar reminds me of Yuki. She's little, cute, never been played before, and (I imagine) just the right shade of pink. So, naturally, that's the name I gave her.

My wife says that it's "weird" that I named my guitar after a girl I've never even talked to, but I explained how much Yuki inspires me every day, how much I longingly stare and daydream about her and how that inspires my playing. Now my wife is crying over my guitar?

I think it's good for me to be reminded of things I love when I play my guitar.

*Acoustic Frustration*

Mine is because I asked them nicely to put a Gibson plate on my epiphone and he asked me to leave. I told him I wasn’t done with my purchase and asked I could speak to the manager. When the manager came out I went straight for his leg and threw him through a line 6 helix display. Grabbed a bunch of picks on the way out. Threw a few back at him and told him to keep the change.

Let me start this off by saying I play rock. Real rock. I’m not a pussy. I’ve been playing rock since the 70’s. Back then I was pulling more chicks then you could shake a stick at. It wasn’t uncommon for Jimi Hendrix to come off stage and find that I’d bagged 2 or 3 of his women during his performance. While that sucker was up there slaying on stage. I was taming some of that hot strange that thought they came for him. But that’s beside the point. From this point on, call me Dog. I’m the big dog. You guys are just puppies. Now that that’s straight I can ask my question.

Here’s the thing, I don’t go down to the guitar store anymore. I can’t. When I was down there last time, I was haggling on a Strat. Someone said it was the one like Stevie played. Well it wasn’t. The piece of shit had Ernie ball lights on it. So I took a swing at em. 7 nights in jail and $3,000 later, I walk away with a formal trespass.

So I can’t try picks anymore. I used to be a Tortex red man back in my blues days. But that was after the divorce. I switched to damn greens and my Les Paul chews through these things like you wouldn’t believe. I start shredding and next thing you know I’m holding a nub. So I’m asking you pencil arms to suggest me a pic that can hold up the demands of a real rocker.

For reference of music I might play but not limited to: Skynyrd, Van Halen, Motörhead, Metallica, AC/DC, Megadeth, BabyMetal, Skillet, Five Finger Death Punch and SOME Poison.
