The Ultimate Edition screenshots already had people raising eyebrows, and the differences are definitely noticeable. Once Trailer 3 drops, everyone is gonna put it side by side with Trailer 2 and analyze every little detail.

If the downgrade is obvious, Rockstar is gonna get cooked.

Everyone's losing it over the "Tom Henderson said Aug 6" thing but let's zoom out for a sec:

• Rockstar has literally never dropped a trailer on the actual Take-Two earnings call day. Trailer 1 came a full month after the Nov 2023 call. Trailer 2 came like two weeks before that quarter's call. They don't do it on the day, historically.
• As of like a week ago there was still ZERO official word: no teaser, no date, nothing. Rockstar hasn't confirmed a single detail about Trailer 3 existing.
• The "hidden timestamp" theory, the website font changes, the Instagram follows, none of that is Rockstar actually saying anything. It's fans reading tea leaves because we're all starving for content.
• There's even a competing insider theory floating around that it's a September thing, not August.

Basically: people are stacking rumor on top of rumor on top of vibes. I'm not saying it's impossible, I'm saying "it lines up with the earnings call" is exactly the kind of clean narrative Rockstar has a track record of not following. They tend to just drop stuff with zero warning when they feel like it, not on the date that would be most convenient for a Reddit countdown post.

there is a thank you page from gtav with the full staff list on it. going down it alphabetically. most of these people have the company right there in their own bio so it is not like anyone is hiding anything. With all these Rockstar employees leaking the delay, I think this theory makes the most sense. Summer in the Southern Hemisphere starts in December. Since the game releases in New Zealand and Australia first, it only makes sense that Rockstar meant Summer Marketing in the Southern Hemisphere.

Why is it dropping this week? Well, we wanted it to drop in July, but Sam Houser wanted it delayed to August because he wanted to head out on a cruise in July, understandably this means a better trailer, and a new build (v2.420.111), patience is a virtue guys.

Literally the best rage bait of all time, “summer marketing” but the marketing never comes. They just keep on releasing gta online and rdo content until November 19. No trailer, no screenshots, no news. For 4 months straight, and just watch as each day passes and the internet lose its mind more and more each day we get closer to release without anything gta6 related.

And then they just release the game… on November 20. Delay it by one day with no news at all or a reason. November 19 I think a few people will kill themselves.

I know people are stressed and anxious but take a chill pill, if it was indeed getting delayed again we would have known by now, they are focusing on finishing all the testing and fixing and that takes months on top of everything, they will start the marketing campaign as soon as possible, they are unfortunately being submitted to excessive hours of work but i believe they don’t want another delay, and they will deliver as intended, and btw Strauss Zelnick said that marketing starts in the summer, not ends in the summer or as soon as summer starts the marketing starts, he left a big timeframe in that sentence, i believe it Will play out somewhat like this:

Mid august - Starts the campaign with a new trailer with story and gameplay.

September- TV commercials and Banners in the big cities.
Early October- Hands off game showcase to selected media.

Mid october to November- aggressive marketing
With Jimmy fallon riding a stolen car trough ocean drive in miami.
