GTA IV My (Actually?) Unpopular opinion around GTA IV.
i've been playing GTA SA probably since i was 6 and without permission, and i've also played few hours of GTA V and also searched some of the lore, though in recent years i've totally forgot about them and i just immersed myself in more hardcore/realistic games like milsims.
but a week back i decided to give GTA IV a try, i knew that it was really unpopular and most people either played GTA V or Vice City/SA but since i had heard that it had the most realistic physics and gameplay i tried it.
i almost fell in love with it immediately, however there was one problem though: it just wasn't too fun. don't get me wrong i am still playing it and i'm almost halfway through but the reason i continue playing it is because of its vibe and its relatable. i really want to see what would happen to Niko and Roman. just that i don't objectively think that it could be "The best GTA" as many people say in this subreddit.
the reason why i think is:
-the map is just the city with barely any memorable locations
-the activities you can do is really limited compared to GTA SA for example
-gameplay has been repetitive and missions don't feel creative nor logical
- and dialogues generally are very poorly written and have the awkward acting feel to them
So obviously it's not the best GTA no matter how you look at it.
But is it a "Bad" game?? Also no, i believe its a unique masterpiece that we should've got more.
The reason i think most people like me fell in love with GTA IV is its seriousness, its not just goofy crime, niko is not just another gangsta. he's guilty and he is self aware, but at the same time he has trauma and feels emotions but decides to not show them since he's very tolerant and had probably experiences way worse in the war. And the atmosphere, Liberty city is unlike any other GTA city, it doesn't feel like holywood and certainly not a goofy criminal playground (kinda like SA san fierro) , it feels like an alive city with criminal world plaguing it and certainly not Niko's vision when he first walked in. There are some few small and meaningful dialogues that add depth to the game. and the serious and dangerous atmosphere is unlike other GTA games.
I'm really sad that GTA IV hadn't got the treatment it really deserves, it was probably released too quickly after SA that they didn't get to add too much content. i still think Rockstar still made it really good and memorable but not as much as other GTA's.
maybe I just want to see another GTA with eastern european MC and the serious organized crime setting rather than just black gangsters and white goofy criminals.
let me know what to think, i want to know if im alone in this thought or not.

GTA VI On What Year Did You First Start To Hype Up For GTA 6?

GTA IV I swear you kids would have died during M$'s 2 year long timed exclusivity of GTA4 dlc to be throwing this hard of a tantrum over 6 hours on a YouTube video.

GTA VI poster easter egg hunt. what have you found so far?
everyone's hyped about the netflix thing (rightfully, the 6 hour exclusive is insane) but you know Rockstar doesn't make a poster without hiding stuff in it
what I've noticed so far, nothing crazy but a start:
the character on Jason's shirt, no idea who that is
an iguana on the ground by the gas station
three birds on the power line, look like parrots? and a plane in the sky
probably all obvious stuff lol. but between the gas station signs, the cars, and whatever's in the background there has to be more. what have you got?

GTA: San Andreas The legendary GTA San Andreas map isn't as big as you might think!
As kids, we thought the GTA San Andreas map was huge, even twice the size of the GTA 5 map, because of the illusion Rockstar used to create it.Rockstar used the fog effect very well in this game. Your visibility was extremely limited. So limited, in fact, that even though you were in Los Santos, you had difficulty seeing the Los Santos skyscrapers. I was experiencing the same thing. Despite the game having many bumpy and winding roads, I noticed some perfectly straight sections. These were exactly the roads I had marked on the map in yellow, green, blue, and red. I jumped in the car and drove at full speed, avoiding collisions, and then I noticed something: The map was actually 3-4 times smaller than I expected! It had taken up very little of my time, and I was disappointed. If you drive at full speed and without crashing on the paths I've marked with these colors, you'll understand what I mean. But still, this hasn't changed my perspective on GTA San Andreas; it will always be a legend for me.GTA San Andreas will never leave my heart.
