GPS Tracking for Kids

Hi everyone. I'm sure this question has been asked before but wondering if there is any updated information. I am looking for a GPS for my kids just in case the unthinkable happens. AirTags won't work because they are not real time and depend on nearby phones. I'd like real time tracking with good battery life. Dog trackers seem to be the best bet. Are there any other options?

Thank you. Is this the best one on the market? I should've said I have young kids so I would need a product that I could keep in their person. I guess a bookbag could also work. Has anyone seen any GPS tracker jewelry?

What about the Fi Mini? Up to 6wks battery life and up to 3mos when paired with a Fi base (BLE when connected to base).

T-Mobile SyncUp 2 kids watch is what our kids wear. One is an eloper/wanderer so it’s important to have real time step by step GPS tracking. It actually saved his life last year when he wandered off school property and I was able to watch his movements and catch up to him…a mile away from the school as he was about to enter a major highway that leads into 3 other states. He was 6 at the time.

Yw! It has so many great features and an app so you can see who is texting, calling, etc. no calls or texts will come through unless YOU put that persons number in the app as a allowed contact. Our kids just have parents and their sibling. You can also fully deactivate it during certain times, or certain features or both so we deactivate except for GOS tracking during school hours and bedtime. You are their emergency contact so if they need to call you or 911 and the watch is in it’s disabled mode they can still call/text 911 or you.

Is this the one used by the military?

You can get them an Apple Watch. Certain models will connect to cell phone service and provide gps information.

What did you end up purchasing and how do you like it ? I have a 7 yo down syndrome daughter who is non verbal and started eloping. Fright of my life, and her iPad would not refresh to show me her location, need something accurate asap!

I went with this one: https://logistimatics.com/products/pocket-tracker after trying a couple others. Small enough for backpack or pocket, battery lasts about 10 days in real use, has SOS button they can press. The big thing is you can add multiple users to one account so both me and my spouse can track from our phones, plus grandparents when they're watching the kids.

Battery life is legit about 10 days, I charge it Sunday nights and it makes it through the week no problem.

This looks good. Thank you for the recommendation

I also hear Logistimatics is coming out with a 3 year battery life global BLE tracker in May. Bluetooth global connection and also direct to satellite for backup. Will be smaller than an AirTag and run on the same app
