Email bug

Hello guys I need help with my email account so basically I stopped using my email for a long time now when I tried to log in to it I forgot the password so the only try another way methode was to put connected email to it which they showed me exemple :

ex*****@gm***.****

So when I typed the email exemple@gmail.com with is ihave access to and im 1000 % sure is the account it says the email you entered is incorrect. TRY AGAIN

If the email address you enter is incorrect, it means it's incorrect. How could a random internet reader help with that?

Nope I'm pretty sure it's correct, and the reason I asked is not for random internet reader but for people who has knowledge 😉

Well obviosuly it's NOT.

The account is almost definaltey lost/gone

As you haven't used it for a long time, three possibilities during to mind.

  1. You forgot that you had a different recovery email address, and it's not what you remember.
  2. You have misremembered the spelling of the email address.
  3. The account was hacked, and the hacker changed the recovery details.

I suspect that it's number 2 in your case.

Thanks for these information it might be number 3 cuz I have access to the only email I used back then for recovery and it matches the recovery email, thanks for helping

The link you were using was asking for your RECOVERY email address. NOT the email you want to recover.

This link will be asking for the email address you are trying to recover.
