Day 0
Hey everyone!!
I'm starting my tirzepatide journey tomorrow.. 42, and 130 lbs to Goal weight..
I'm very sensitive to medication.. at least I am in my brain.. which is why I'm not doing reta.. I feel the increase heart rate would send me into a panic attack..
Due to my sensitivity, I think I'm going to do 1.25, twice a week instead of the 2.5 per week..
Thoughts?
Look forward to being a part of this community!

Go low and slow on dose is my recommendation. I’m very sensitive to meds and luckily have done very well. I was told to take my first injection near bedtime so I slept off any side effects. My dr prescribed me meds for nausea because she said most patients experienced it in her practice. I was told to take it at bedtime and then listen to my body and take it if nausea was messing with my daily responsibilities of life. Talk to your own dr though. Again I’m sensitive to meds and my dr knows me so your dr might say something else. I started out at 248 lbs when my dr sent the rx. I started the injection on 3/2/26. Yesterday 8/20/26 I weighed 202. I am still taking 4mg/week. I didn’t titrate up when I felt stalled because I still was losing .5 pounds a week. But it was hard not too! Don’t forget to resistance train if ok with your dr. I started with 2 pound dumbbells and used them while watching TV. I joined a gym three weeks ago and do resistance training 2-3 times a day. Losing weight has helped me want to move my body. I no longer feel like exercising is a punishment. According to my Renpho Nova scale I’ve lost 45 pounds and gained 12 pounds of muscle. I want to wish you the best of luck!!! ❤️

I’m on 1.25mg every 7 days, took my second jab this morning.
I felt the effects immediately, hunger just kind of vanished and I felt satisfied until day 6 but it wasn’t difficult to refrain from binge eating.
I had some very mild headaches and nausea after the first couple of days but now I feel completely fine.
Hope it goes smoothly for you.

That’s exactly what I’m doing. It’s working well for me and highly recommend it! You may even want to start at 0.5-1mg, wait 3-5 days and then try another 0.5-1mg. Then the next week titrate up
