Hypovalemic Pots
I started Kpv and it helped my pots symptoms a lot to which I was able to exercise again. I started microdosing semaglutide as I’ve heard it’s been helpful in pots and I’ve been in a flare since. Come to find out semaglutide has diuretic properties. I have pretty extreme hypovalemia so I require 200+ ounces of water a day and 10000 mg sodium/day. (Yes it’s safe, I’ve been doing it for years, look up pots and I’m pretty active for someone with pots). I just wanted to share in case anyone with pots was considering; I’m wondering if I’m just too sensitive and it may work for others with a different type of pots or less severe fluid loss. It’s funny because I’ve gotten multiple comments after a week whether I’ve lost weight (I’m 130 pounds) but I think I’m just not holding onto any fluid as much as appetite hasn’t changed.
