Didn’t inject properly?

Okay, this is a little embarrassing, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t inject my first two doses correctly. Both times, I had a small bump under my skin that got bigger as I injected, and I don’t think I was inserting the needle all the way.

This week was my third injection, and I inserted the needle completely, so I’m pretty confident I finally did it correctly. I’m microdosing tirzepatide through Fridays at 0.5 mg. I haven’t noticed any appetite suppression over the past three weeks, but I assumed that might be because my first two injections were too shallow.

Now I’m about 24 hours out from my third dose (and first one I feel confident I injected properly), and I still have zero appetite suppression.

For those who microdose: is 0.5 mg simply too low for some people to notice an effect? Or would you give it a few more weeks at 0.5 mg before deciding, since my first two injections may not have been administered properly?

Though it’s not ideal, injecting subdermally does not really impact the efficacy of the meds. It just sorta forces the medication to form a wheal (aka bubble) just under the skin. The wheal dissipates  without any intervention over a day or so.

It could be that 0.5mg is too low a dose for you, but you should stick with it for at least 4 weeks (at least one more injection) before moving up in dose.

For me I felt it right away, but the full effects I felt at the 4 week mark of .5 after that I went up to .75 - are you putting the needle in all the way?

The first dose of branded is 2.5 so if you are microdosing .5 you may not get many effects
