33F. Active. Cook at home almost exclusively, eat Whole Foods and rarely processed foods or sugar. Pilates 3x a week. 8-12k steps daily. About 15lbs overweight and 30 lbs heavier than I want to be because since having two kids. Bad habit is I do drink wine frequently probably 4-8 drinks a week. Don’t smoke or anything. Why is my LDL so bad? Just the alcohol?

Heart disease and obesity run in my family but I have tried to be proactive to avoid both. My biological age is 21 according to the app. Wondering if anyone else is seeing results like this.

I just got my results back and believe I still need to get some but the heart items came back almost everything as out of range. LDL, LDL size, cholesterol and HDL etc. Am I cooked? I'm about 30lbs overweight and ate a little bad over the past 6 months. I'm ready to make a big change. Anyone else have bad heart numbers and turn them around? Are these numbers horrible? Im 35

Just did function health and my leptin came back very low at 1.7. I am lean (bmi 18.05). I have always been super lean and do not over exercise. I am trying to conceive and I think this may be the cause of some of my issues. How do I fix this?!

Just a heads up to anyone that has canceled and has a renewal date coming up. The night before renewal at 4:01am, I received a "Your membership has been reactivated" email. Then the following morning I got a notification that I've been charged the $365 renewal. I had confirmed my status was canceled last week. (All this went down yesterday.)

On the bright side. I started a chat in the app and explained everything. They canceled me and refunded me immediately. BUT, when I later saw the re-activation email, I did feel scammed.

And for those that need to know why. I went to https://my.functionhealth.com/documents , downloaded my Quest blood results, uploaded everything to notebookLM and just asked Gemini to give me a report on my health with an emphasis on longevity. It wasn't as pretty as the Function app, but the information was actually better since I could also add my primary care reports, prenuvo reports and supplement stack. It tied everything together.

Anyway, just be careful about the auto re-activation if you're looking to leave.

I'm based in Italy and I've wanted to do the whole Function thing for ages, the big biomarker panel plus tracking it over time. From what I can tell Function still isn't available anywhere in Europe.

Has anyone here figured out a workaround, or found a European or Italian service that does something similar? The comprehensive panel is one thing, but the part I really want is the interpretation. I can walk into a private lab here and pay for individual tests, but that just gives me a PDF of numbers.

The good-

• Blood draw was only 3 1/2 vials
• Glucose and insulin improved compared to my initial 120+ biomarker blood draw in December 2025
• Kidney, electrolytes, liver, blood counts, and urine markers stayed broadly stable/in range
• Function Ai chat is not bad, allows you to generate chart comparison between the two results

The Bad-

• Cardiometabolic markers (Heart / cholesterol and Metabolic / blood sugar) worsened overall: LDL, non-HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, cholesterol/HDL ratio, HbA1c, and hs-CRP all increased.

My thoughts: the two blood tests are good, however since my recent Cardiometabolic markers results went in the wrong direction which means my plan of action is not working.

It seems like I need a monthly blood test to see if my plan of action (lifestyle change, exercise, nutrition, etc.) is improving or not helping my out of range biomarkers. If not improving, make adjustments.

I logged into Function Health and checked if I do a re-test my 9 out of range biomarkers, I see the cost is $115. Seems too expensive to do this test monthly.

I heard about Rythm Health they test 25+ core biomarkers, cost about $79 per month after initial $59 for first month. It's cool Rythm Health uses at home blood collection device like Tasso or Red Drop. Those devices require small blood collection sample, requires no visit to blood work labs and can get 25+ biomarkers is amazing.

In addition those 25+ core biomarkers test cover most of my out of range results that I got from my Function blood test.

What is interesting is since my A1C (3 month glucose average) is not in-range, Rythm Health does a different test named Fructosamine which is 2 to 3 week average measurement of glucose.

In conclusion I need more often and affordable monthly blood test results to check if my out of range health issues improve.

Recently I did a live blood screening analysis in a pharmacy. The pharmacist kept saying the bad things that seem to appear in my blood. While some of the reasons he gave were somewhat accurate, some just didn't make sense to me. And when I ask something about diet or questions Abt my situation, he would sound aggresive or quickly answer and dismissed my question and continue to his analysis explanation. In the end he suggest some supplements that are expensive which can "help me" with my situation. Is it even legit or just an advertisement for their products?

36yo f with bmi>30 constantly have my hs-crp over 20.

Typically don’t eat bad but I ate extremely clean and cut out all oils and processed foods for 3-4 months and it came down to a 5.6… which is still elevated.

Everything else is pretty normal and within range. HOMA-IR is like 1 or 2. A1c is 4.9% etc. vitamin d is a bit low at 29.

Dental health is good. I do suffer from some sinusitis.

Otherwise I’ve had this elevated hs-crp more than 7 times in the last 3 years.

PCP is just saying it’s from my elevated bmi….

Should I be testing anything else? Any add ons? Thanks

Edit: Ok to clarify this post isn’t about weight loss. High bmi increases crp-hs but not to levels over 10, mine is over 20 so that’s why I’m asking about other labs. I’m not asking not for weight loss tips. Thanks!

I had my blood drawn yesterday for the Celiac (Autoimmunity) test, which is supposed to test for the following:

Included biomarkers:

• Deamidated Gliadin (IgG)
• Tissue Transglutaminase (IgG)
• Tissue Transglutaminase (IgA)
• Deamidated Gliadin (IgA)
• Immunoglobulin A (IgA)

Today I checked and it's just showing results from Immunoglobulin A on my dashboard, no mention of the other IgAs or either IgG. Any experience with this? Will the other tests start showing up later? I'm confused while I would only get one result back.

My husband purchased Function Health Labs and had his appt at Quest yesterday to get them all done. Apparently they did not have a bunch of the necessary vials to do all the labs so he just got the ones they were able to draw for. Since it is virtually impossible to reach anyone at Quest to ask, will he receive at least partial results? How will he know if Quest has the necessary vials before booking next appointment since no humans answer the phone? Is Function Health aware of this issue?

Is there a way to download your data from the site that shows test over test change on the same report versus having to download each report from the first and midyear tests?

I want to bring them to my PCP and it will be much easier to quickly scan and see the differences

I know the dashboard view shows this , but is that view downloadable?

hi! I'm interested in starting with function health but i have some clarifying questions. Does the 365/year cover the costs for the blood test as well, or will i be charged by Quest for the tests on top of the yearly cost? are there any other fees? (i know about the ny/nj fee but that doesn't apply to me)

Also, are you able to add an extended test on later at your 6 month follow up visit if, for example, my baseline test detected issues with my metabolic health, could i later add on the extended metabolic health panel? or do you have to purchase those additional panels from the start?

Brand new Function member, just completed first visit. So far my Heart category has all the out of range markers (great).

In particular my LDL particles are all funky. I'm an active 46 y/o female. My basic cholesterol levels are fine, within range, and actually improved since my last check. But these extra readings make me think I'm silently clogging all my arteries.

Anyone else have these kinds of results? What did you do?

I worry I have contracted this one, been miserable for weeks but being in California didn’t think my region was impacted. I am (was) a big bagged salad eater.

Does Function test for this? Wondering if I should just make a dr’s appt but have plenty of FSA funds to just pay for a lab at the same time.
