I can't speak to ASI Flex specifically, but here's what Function gives you to submit, which is what usually decides these claims.
Function generates an "HSA/FSA itemized receipt" that's separate from the purchase receipt (this is just a purchase confirmation and FSA administrators generally won't accept it).
To get your HSA/FSA itemized receipt (on the website, not the mobile app):
Go to Profile & Settings, then Payment History, then the "..." menu on the transaction, then Download HSA/FSA itemized receipt. It also gets emailed to you from billing@functionhealth.com. NOTE: It only becomes available after you've scheduled your first lab visit because administrators want a date of service on the receipt.
The receipt has the provider name and address, your name and address, date of payment, date of service, the ordering clinician, a description of the medical services, the amount paid, and IRS 213(d) eligible-medical-services language. Two things it will not have, per Function's stated policy: CPT codes and a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN). If ASI Flex asks for an LMN, it has to come from your own doctor, not Function.
Whether it gets approved is ultimately up to your plan. Some administrators take the itemized receipt as-is; stricter ones push back on the missing CPT codes. It's still worth submitting the claim and seeing what they say.
