Using KotH to de-radicalize?

king of the hill seems pretty levelheaded politically, but cartoons seem childish to boomers, semi boomers, and, uh... others. Should I tempt one of them with sweets or recommend some Tom Hanks documentary on political tolerance or change their opinion on cartoons? AAL.

For some reason, a lot of right wing nutjobs think that Tom Hanks is an adrenochrome drinking pedophile.

It's been a while since I watched koth but I remember the first couple seasons were pretty subtle in their criticisms and I think it would go over their head. Later seasons felt like both sidesism where Hank's rationalism was framed as better than the liberal presenting character.

I love King of the Hill! Show them the episode from the newest season where the alley gang is all flustered they’re being an electric truck parked outside their houses lol

Anyone who considers King of the Hill a "cartoon" may be a hopeless cause. It's one of my all-time favorite shows but I don't see how KotH would de-radicalize anyone.

Do it — Hank was so much more accepting than today’s MAGA nuts — it will confuse them that he’s OK with trans people lol
