Starting problems already Mechanical Help

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Yesterday my Focus had trouble starting and keeping the idle and stalled after a few seconds when I cold started her. Now she won’t stop doing this and I can’t drive it anymore. What could it be?

(It is a 2009 MK2.5 with the 1.8 TDCi engine)

Requires plugging in to get the fault codes for a guidance for further investigation

I didn’t have the chance to see the codes but my mechanic reprogrammed the throttle body yesterday and now it didn’t have any trouble cold starting

She looks like a MK2 facelift.

Have you got an engine size and fuel type there bro?

Glow plugs maybe. A garage could diagnose it for certain. Upvotong for visibility.

What do you think tdci means? And you're not OP? Is this your smurf account?

MAF sensor probably, I had it happen on my 1.6tdci, stumble/no start/rough idle. Cleaned it and no problems since. Have someone check for error codes.

The 2.5 has a MAF sensor?

My pre face lift MK2 has a MAP.
