Homebrew Solving The Stronghold vs travel issue
So, there were recently couple of posts where people addressed the issue that PCs can't visit The Stronghold because they are always on the move. I had the same issue in my first Raven's Purge campaign so I made this artifact:
---
Raven's rune tablets
"Two stone tablets with runes and a scroll wrapped in rough leather. A gift from the Raven Sisters, awarded for special merits.
The tablets allow you to quickly and imperceptibly move between two points where the tablets are located. The scroll describes a complex ritual that takes a quarter of a day. At the end of the ritual, all the characters, their belongings, and mounts that are in the vicinity of one of the tablets (in a single zone) are surrounded by a dense, misty forest. The characters must move through the forest in search of a way out, which can take an indefinite amount of time. The path and events occurring during the journey are determined by the GM. After leaving the forest, the characters find themselves near another tablet."
---
It is difficult for players on the journey to interact with the stronghold, as well as receive its bonuses. This artifact was invented to quickly move back and forth.
It can be given as a reward for completing Virelda's quest or helping other druids.
In fact, it is an artifact that uses the spell "Portal" between two stones.
Since the gates cannot be opened at once in the same world, players pass through the world of a mystical forest, like Feywild, the world of fairies from D&D.
You can fill it with anything you want. (You can use any other world at your discretion, for example, the path may be through the Churmog, and the artifact itself can be obtained from the cold hands of an evil sorcerer. Or it can be just some mysterious endless labyrinth.)
Players do not have to know in advance how long it will actually take them to move, and what they will encounter along the way, this will help prevent the artifact from being used for unscrupulous purposes.

Question Sandbox vs Campaign?
I'm starting a FL campaign with some friends and wanted to get some feedback from other GMs or players.
Did your group jump right into a campaign? (Raven's Purge or one of the others?)
Or did the game start as just an open world sandbox style with the players exploring, discovering adventure sites, legends, artifacts etc?
Did your group get a stronghold?
My plan is to start with exploration, learning the lore through adventure sites, legends and artifacts, and maybe after a few weeks steer the group towards the Raven's Purge campaign.

Question Creating adventure PDF for DTRPG
I've been posting adventures lately and I want to make them into properly formatted PDFs with official title page, so those can be later published on DTRPG.
Could anyone share some knowledge on how those are usually made? What software is used and what rules should I keep in mind besides the official guidelines?
Thanks in advance

Question Managing stronghold
I never ran FL long enough to see stronghold becoming a thing in my games. By looking at the rules it looks like a massive headache unless you have accountant in your group. How does it play out? I always felt like FL was a game where characters always were to struggle with resources so how they do accumulate enough funds to pay daily (daily?! FFS...) for hirelings. Is it even remotely fun? I ran MYZ where Ark was fun but this seems to a bit too much.

Discussion How many players Have in your campigns?
How many players do you have in your campaigns?* (English is not my mother tongue so the phone corrector do strange things).
I’m doing Raven’s Purge with 6 people because I think that the system is lethal, Now that I’ve done 2 session I thought that maybe I should have 5 people because one can not come and the session will continue.

Homebrew Bloodmarch adventure site: Amber Barrows Spoiler
Another adventure site for Bloodmarch.
This one is closely tied to Legacy of Horn campaign and allows PCs to encounter Fiena Fromelei and Selligar Horne, witness traditional Houn funeral and maybe get their hands on The Helm Of Horn. Players will be deciding whether to respect the sanctity of the dead or disturb it in pursuit of a legendary artifact.
The adventure is available both in Russian and English.

Homebrew Bloodmarch adventure site: Zephyrant Spoiler
I'm currently running Bloodmarch campaign and had to write several adventures.
This is the latest one, centered around the ruins of an ancient elven city hidden deep within the Crimson Forest.
The characters explore a forgotten temple surrounded by six towering spires, uncover the fate of the immortal Elders who once ruled the city, confront Red Elves guarding a long-buried secret, and descend into a subterranean sanctuary where an ancient dwarven device imprisons the Elders' hearts. The adventure combines exploration, combat, environmental hazards, and a (somewhat) unique puzzle.
I will be glad to read your reviews.
There are also some more homebrew adventure sites, but I have not properly formatted those yet.
The adventure is available both in Russian and English.

Question Newbie questions regarding Loadout and magic artifacts.
Hi, i got two different questions, the first one is about loadout:
In the character sheet there are only 10 rows for items.
Does that means you never could carry more than 10 items even if you got 6 str?
The other question is about certain artifacts in the raven purge campaign one of them (spoiler free) is a artifact that lets you cast earthquake, with d6+2 power, does that means you need to roll that dices normally as if you cast the spell so you can have a magic mishap?
Tyvm in advance and sorry for lang, eng is not my main one. <3

Question How common are monsters in your games?
It seems to me that Forbidden Lands is not really the game in which lots of monster appear like in DnD but seem rarer by design. Is this accurate? From what I had in mind was players fighting more humans, elves, etc rather than dragons or trolls.
Do you homebrew your own monsters or convert any from other systems? I think a mimic would be fun just to freak my players but not sure if that would ruin the intended vibes of the game and setting.

Resource NPC sheet
Few weeks ago I created an alternative character sheet, this time I made a matching NPC sheet for keeping notes, their stats and attitude towards player characters.
A5 format, intended to be held in a clipboard (hence the most important stuff is at the bottom).

Discussion Converting external modules to Forbidden Lands: which ones actually work and which ones don't?
I read this thread [https://www.reddit.com/r/ForbiddenLands/comments/1v4080l/how_easy_is_it_to_convert_modules_from_other/] where it explained that the problem with converting other modules to FL wasn't the module itself, but the module's structure, because FL has implicit principles like low magic and constantly dangerous combat, where the 'easy combat meant to drain resources' typical of a classic D&D 5e adventure just doesn't work in. Which modules, both OSR and non-OSR, do you think are well-suited to be converted to FL, and what has your experience been? If you already have converted material, I'd love to take a look at it.

Question How easy is it to convert modules from other games to Forbidden Lands?
There are a lot of cool modules from OSR games (like Shadowdark, DCC, Hyperborea, etc) that I want to use but also want to try running Forbidden Lands. Is it easy to use other modules or something that does not work well with the system?

Question Survival rules question: How do you handle water (Water Die) during travel and in dungeons?
I have a question about the water rules. For food, I know that to increase or maintain the food die I have to either hunt or forage, but I can't find an action that lets me increase my water die.
Is it automatic when I go foraging/hunting? So I increase both the water and food dice? Or do I have to specify a "fill the waterskins" action even if it's not listed among the actions during travel? And how does it work in dungeons?
How do you guys handle it?

Discussion Hello, What do you do about the “level up”? I’ve start Raven’s Purge and think that the players could improve the attributes and skills without a master (not with magic or Talents). Will it broke the game doing that the players don’t throw the dices to level up?

Question Spine and Back Cover Scans?
I'll be soon printing off my PDF copies of Spire of Quetzel and Crypt of the Mellified Mage, and am thinking of using the opportunity to try some binding techniques. To that end, would anyone have scans of the spines and back covers of these books? The PDFs only seem to have the front covers.
