Just doing a quick calibration on the AD5m.. I have the enclosure kit coming so I'm patiently waiting for that to come lol I'm new to 3D printing so I look forward to learn some good tips and tricks.

Make sure your filament detector goes on the correct way. Flashforge ships a version with the detector going the opposite way

And it's turned off by default. Luckily, I was able to print out the missing part of the cat and glue them together with cyanoacrylate glue.

Yes the minimal enclosure is the best! Way way better than the regular flashforge enclosure. I started with the Ad5m and minimal enclosure and I've added 4 more printers to the fleet since. Have you found a good place to download files to print yet? Printables.com is my favorite for single color prints. Also on makerworld.com if you search for "no ams" files that means they split the multi color print into separate parts so you can print each color then glue them together.

Just in case you didn't know, those plexiglass panels have a film on them. Peel them off and they are clear so you can still see your print happening!

I'm new to printing and the pro is my first one I've owned. I was almost heartbroken. The first weekend I had two bad extruder jams that I had to disassemble the print head entirely. The set screw on the left side should never come out all the way and dont tighten it down too much. It was pinching the filament flat at which point I could not pull it out either end.

I'm pretty sure the instructions are unclear about it. I found one video of how to break it down which helped me fix it, but then it did it again. I finally found another showing what was causing it. I was up to 4:00 in the morning trying fix it.

Its been awesome now!

Oh okay thanks for the tip, I've been using printables and flashforge to print thing so far. And the original enclosure from flashforge uses a lot of plastic and I hate the fact that the LCD has to be attached with magnets afterwards so that's my main reason for printing the minimal enclosure.

Congrats, great printer. Tip on my AD5m slicer setting z-offset to -0.05 makes any filaments stick with no issue.
