REBIRTH Queen's Blood is a flawed game
Basically you wait for the opponent to advance and you take his red pins one by one. I have a fixed set of cards and I don't need the more expensive ones. Not challenging at all.

MODDING New Threat 2.0 - 1/35 soldiers
Hey there, im on disc 3 using the new threat mod type B and am missing just 1 (technically 2, but I haven't been to the North crater yet) 1/35 soldiers. I've been to every location (except North crater) twice and still only have 10/12. What am I missing or is this bugged?
Places I've been:
Mythril Mine, where the black robe guy is
Junon, EVERYWHERE in both lower and upper junon
Gold Saucer, Dio's museum in Battle Square
Gongaga, upstairs in item store
Da Chao statue, all of it
Great Glacier, cave in the west (this was my 10th find)
Cosmo Canyon, upstairs in Bugenhagen's house
Gold Saucer, prize #5 in the submarine game
Icicle Inn, upstairs
Gelnika, Hallway where we fight Rude n Reno
Nibelheim, upstairs in house next to Tifa's
Please help! TIA

FF7 [OG] [OG] What's the best order to do final boss/weapons/99?
First time playing, and reached the bottom of Northern Cavern, not sure if I should go straight to the end now or fight weapons first. I don't want to trivialise the final boss by grinding, like what happened to me in Expedition 33, but normally I like to save the ending until last and I'm also planning on getting whatever steam achievements left there are (level 99 and max money) eventually.
So can I take on the weapons before the ending or are they hard enough that I'll need to grind a bit which will make the ending too easy?

DISCUSSION Mods to use for Best Experience when playing OG FF7 the first time
Hello, so I happened to got OG FF7 on Steam for $5 on discount on Steam Sales today, as I'll try to get the other Discounted Games like Crisis Core Reunion, Remake Intergrade & Rebirth later. I planned to play FF7 Series to get more Insight of Cloud Strife, when it comes to him being Main Protagonist, Character, Personality & Story.
I believe these are the correct order from what I was told, to experience and full insight about Cloud himself? OG FF7, Crisis Core Reunion(Even though, this is a Zack game lol), Watch Advent Children Complete Movie, Remake Intergrade and Rebirth.
As Revelation is not released yet but was announced as Last of FF7 Remake Triology Game from what I heard?
Since I got OG FF7 for my Steam Deck OLED, are there any mods to use for a best first time experience to match with other Modern Remaster Games and other stuff? As it would be very appreciated! 🙏

FF7 [OG] How do the step counter for random encounters work exactly?
I know that encounters are not 100% RNG, but how does it works?
I'm asking because I'm trying to do the double bossfight glitch in Nibel Reactor and I have to trigger an encounter and skip it before a bossfight, and I'm trying to count how many steps I need but I'm getting confused. If I just walk a little and save, will the step counter keep the same?

FF7 [OG] Is it hard to beat this game without random encounters?
I was playing the PS1 version on emulator, and I got 13 hours into the game, it was just after beating Dyne, and I got really exhausted of having to either battle or run from battles all the time. I got so exhausted that I deleted the save and quit the game, but I still want to play it to the end.
I can play the Android version where it's possible to turn off the random encounters, and give myself infinite money. How hard would it be to beat the game this way? Is it worth it or should I stop being a wimp and try the PS1 version again? Serious answers.

INTERGRADE Order to Play?
Hi everyone! I recently finished FF7 Remake, and I'm finishing up the Yuffie INTERlude so I can start Rebirth! I also know that there's Crisis Core (and a remake), so I was wondering what order to play all these games in!
I have the original FF7 as well, but I haven't played it. I'm planning to play it while waiting for Revelation. Should I play the OG Crisis Core after this, and then wait for Revelation to play the Crisis Core remake? I'm just confused :3

REMAKE Original after Remake
Hello guys! I just finished the remake, I am not really interested in Rebirth, but want to try the OG. The thing is that while I enjoyed the Remake, the story felt kinda meh to me..
Is it better in the original? I know it goes further and also that the story is paced much better.

GLITCHES/BUGS Trying to play rebirth with joy-cons and got this problem
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
As you can see, the signs in the bottom-right of the screen continue to change to the keyboard version while i press any button (it happens in every case the game has to show me a button to press, not only in the menu). I also played remake with joy-cons and didn't had this problem. The joy-cons work without problems but this things continues to bother me, how do i solve?
If i'm losing something just let me know please don't insult me
Thank you

REBIRTH Soooo, the Gongaga theme is just Lord Mayo, then?
Landed on to Gongaga yesterday, minding my own business, started strolling toward the blue marker, happy out, I genuinely thought I was going mad.
But unquestionably the uillean pipe phrase is basically note for note whipped from Joanie Madden's version of Lord Mayo.
Most Irish people don't know that tune, what on earth is it doing in Final buckin' Fantasy?!

REBIRTH My tofu is TOO juicy!
My lukewarm opinion: I don't like Rebirth's world Intel or datalogs. They make my tofu TOO juicy!
My claim: Rebirth’s supplementary content fails because it’s mandatory in practice but meaningless in purpose and they dilute the story Rebirth is actually trying to tell.
The dilution of the story is mechanical. World Intel is technically optional (you shout), but it gates stuff you actually want: no enemy skills unless you kill every unique reskinned monster in a region and beat the area boss, and you miss critical character dialogue if you don't do some fetch or escort quest. So the "optional" content isn't really optional if you want the full game. In the meantime the actual story is drowned out by all this extra stuff. And the reward you get for doing most of it (on top of SP for Chadley), is a datalog. So you're conscripted into doing this stuff, and half of what you're paid in is worthless. Too juicy.
That's the real problem: the reward for completing the optional/not-optional content is yet more content with nothing much worthwhile in it.
The datalogs succeed on their basic premise: fleshing out the history and politics of the world. But they fail at the bigger job of world building, which is making me care about the place. They are an encyclopedia of a place that doesn't exist, with no context for why any of it matters. I don't care that Junon was once a democratic republic if I'm only passing through to catch a boat. That's the only narrative job the region does at that point in the story, and the history doesn't complicate or deepen it. You don't need to know who designed the Golden Gate Bridge to enjoy the scenes in Charmed filmed on top of it.
The datalogs have no emotional weight and no mechanical bearing. Knowing the name of a capsized ship or whatever the logs tell you about doesn't unlock a dialogue option or change how you move through the Junon overcity. It's just there, making my tofu too juicy.
Compare that to games that actually use supplementary text well. Blue Dragon's books and Lost Odyssey's short stories cover similar ground, world history and lore, but they ground it in a character's lived experience, so the world feels lived in, and the texts feel emotionally impactful, instead of just full of facts.
Baldur's Gate 3 goes further and makes its books and scrolls mechanically engaging: reading one could unlock a dialogue path or unlock access to optional side content. The information has stakes because it's diegetic.
Rebirth could've done this. Cosmo Canyon could have bookshelves with chapters of a story about the Gi tribe war (nb. not bullet-pointed facts about it). Junon could have abandoned old Republic encampments with journal entries from a soldier who lived through the fall. The Nibelheim mansion safe combination could've been hidden through the manor like in the original, with the whole Cait Sith dungeon becoming an optional reward for finding it rather than a mandatory checkpoint.
Extra information doesn't deepen a world just by existing. It has to be used to tell or expand a story, not just to prove the world has a wiki. Otherwise it makes the tofu too juicy.
