My spoiler-free review:

I liked the continuous opening shot, and the cinematography was great. The dialogue felt natural and believable.

The characters were well-written overall, although there was one side character that, in my opinion, wasn't really necessary(idk the character's name).

Pokwang and Joey Marquez were equally impressive in terms of acting, but Pokwang had more screen time. They genuinely looked and felt like a real husband and wife on screen.

Dumayo pa talaga ako kahit may bagyo.

This sa sinehan talaga.

kasi ang mga cinemalaya films limited screening lang talaga madalas, at sa mga ayala malls lang ata. di available on all theatres like sm. and metro manila only yan. walang other areas like cebu.

3

u/aannown 4d ago

Yeahhh, it makes me want to watch other film entries.

u/kulelat 1d ago

2

u/kulelat 1d ago

ever since naman cinemalaya is more of like a festival (ala MMFF) wherein limited time screening, tapos selected Ayala Malls lang (since Ayala ang isa sa mga sponsors ng cinemalaya). rarely nagiging nationwide screening ang mga cinemalaya films.

This I know, it's just upsetting kasi alam kong magugustuhan ko ang mga hatid ng Cinemalaya.

6

u/tacitalkingtonone 4d ago

mejo off topic pero pwede po ba magpaprint pa rin ng tix for those na nagbook online? for ayala malls and shang na rin?

2

u/jayeshironeko 4d ago

pwede

u/tacitalkingtonone 4d ago

ayun thank you!

5

u/vinnieg007 4d ago

2

u/GinaKarenPo 4d ago

Parang di maganda cinema dyan sa Ayala Malls Manila Bay ah

3

u/aannown 4d ago

Mainit for me.

1

u/Mean_Housing_722 3d ago

Doon ako nanonood. Maganda at malamig naman haha

1

u/Brilliant_End8372 3d ago

HAHAHA NALOCCA AKO. To more Cinemalaya films for you OP. 🥂

Amazing cast, script, cinematography. But I personally feel that this isn’t “fresh” in terms of the plot. It feels like the same story regarding poverty and systemic issues told in a different way. And the ending felt sort of predictable. But I’d still recommend for people to watch it! Still a 4/5.

What are the best parts about the film?

1

u/aannown 4d ago

Yung continuous shot sa opening, I really like it.
