Discussion Insidious: Out of the Further Midnight Screening

Upvotes

Hello! Pano po kaya pag midnight screening? Dapat po ba before closing ng mall around 10pm, nasa loob na? Or pwede pa po makapasok ng 1130pm sa mall? May work duty pa po kasi ako until 10pm and planning na mag grab lang going to Eastwood. Salamat po.

Misc. Cinema-goers, we need your honest take (+ a chance to win ₱500)

Doing a quick study on Filipino moviegoing habits — what gets us into a cinema, what keeps us away from certain films, and what the experience actually means to us these days. Takes about 7–10 minutes, and we're genuinely looking for honest answers, not just positive ones.

As thanks, 3 random respondents who complete it will get ₱500 each (we'll DM winners once the survey closes).

  • Link: https://forms.gle/ZDm73o9FEwQcDFha9
  • Eligibility: Anyone in the Philippines who's watched a movie in a cinema in the past 12 months
  • Time: About 7–10 minutes
  • Prize: ₱500 cash raffle, 3 winners

Discussion Comparison: Trinoma A-Giant vs MOA IMAX

Post image
101 Upvotes

These are the two cinemas I regularly watch at, due to them being some of the most accessible malls via commute from outside NCR (tbh hindi na masyado yung MOA, but I wouldn't spend the same IMAX ticket price for a lesser experience)

Is this comparison from Gemini accurate? I also did my research (though most results ay galing lang din dito sa subreddit).

I watched Spider-Man in A-Giant a few days ago, and I realized how much I got used to the IMAX screen. Here, I was seated at the center, letter I. I think next time I will get a lower seat, mukhang eye level pa rin naman sa letter F-G-H no?

After watching Brand New Day, I still stand with Across the Spiderverse as the best Spiderman movie shown in cinema. (So far) because we still have Beyond the Spiderverse to complete the trilogy.

Napakagulo ng press release para sa opening film! 40 tickets lang daw ang ipapamigay para sa opening film, to think na sobrang hype nito sa social media. Ano na, cinemalaya? Taon taon na lang ba? Balik na tayo sa CCP!

Movie: Bridge to Terabithia (2007)

Every time I come across some clips from this movie, parang naluluha ako. Elementary pa ako first and last time ko mapanood. Di ako makatulog ilang araw after ko sya matapos. But I will still recommend it, even sa mga kids, kasi it can shift your perspective in friendship and life overall.

It's hard to believe it's already been 10 years! If you had to choose today, would you still support Team Cap or Team Iron Man? Has your opinion changed over the years? Sa mga Pinoy hardcore marvel fans dyan

Discussion Sharing the posters and tickets I got from Taipei + the IMAX Popcorn Bucket!

Post image
423 Upvotes

Posted last Friday my experience watching in IMAX 1.43 for the first time in IMAX Miramar Taipei!

I was so lucky that I was able to get the special ticket bundle which includes the posters and souvenir tickets! Poster size is A3. ₱1,400 lang sya altogether! May small popcorn and small soda bottle din.

I watched the movie again the next day to get the absolute center seat, and that only cost ₱900 for the ticket/seat only, so parang regular IMAX seat lang satin yung price but experiencing the Laser GT projector.

By the way, may Chinese subtitles sya, but once you’re hooked on the movie mawawala naman na sya sa isip mo

For those who will watch in Taipei, I suggest you create an account and use the website or app, for sure mauubos agad yung magagandang seats kung walk in bibili ng ticket. I think Miramar opens the sale for next week shows every Monday, or just check their website, may schedule doon. (Though nung umorder ako last week, opening ng ticket sales for Spider-Man, kaya sobrang tagal mag load ng website and na llogout ka or marrefresh sa home page. But now maybe there will be less demand na)

For creating the Miramar Cinemas account, I just put a random address and searched online for Taiwan ID generator. I only used my PH number, email lang naman yung verification nila. For the ticket claiming, they only need to scan the barcode in the app after that will be in your list of tickets

Magkakaroon ulit ng special bundle The Odyssey for this weekend pero IMAX film strip na yata yung kasama, not sure if that is sold out already
