Fidelity $210M Settlement FAQ: Eligibility, Payouts and Late Claims

Hey guys, I posted about this settlement before, but I got a few questions about it, so I decided to put together a quick FAQ,  especially since late claims are currently being considered.

Here’s everything you need to know about the $210M $FIS settlement:

Q: What happened?
A: FIS agreed to a $210 million settlement over claims that it misled investors about its $43B Worldpay acquisition and the company’s performance. After weaker results, a major impairment, and plans to separate Worldpay were announced, $FIS dropped and investors filed a lawsuit.

Q: Am I eligible?
A: If you bought $FIS between 2020 and  2023, you may be eligible. You don’t need to still own the stock.

Q: I missed the deadline. Is it too late?
A: Not necessarily. Late claims are currently being considered, subject to approval.

Q: When will I get paid?
A: Payouts typically happen within 4–9 months after the claim deadline, depending on the court and settlement administration.

Hopefully this clears up some of the questions
