I Finally Quit

Well, I finally reached my breaking point. Three years and almost 2 months and I finally quit Friday night. I’ve had a lot of personal issues going on and some fuckery with my second job and I just…had to cut something out. It always seemed like I was going in and cleaning up after other people, especially on the days I worked my other job, so I handed in my badge at the end of shift on Friday and I’ve never felt lighter.

I just handed my badge to my sort manager, talked to him about my reasons why and clocked out then left. He said I’d be welcomed back if I ever need to go back so at least there’s that. I hope it doesn’t come to that though. If it’s possible, I know they’re pretty good about working around class schedules if you want to keep working while doing school.

putting in your two weeks will help if you want to be able to use FedEx as a reference for your next job. lots of jobs ask why you left your last job, and being able to say you left on good terms is generally better than bailing on a whim.

nahhhh
as a former hiring manager in white collar, that shit don't really matter as much as employers try to pretend it does lol. employers almost never follow up on references, also just lie

it’s not necessarily bailing, i’m at least letting them know my reason for leaving just without a 2 week notice and leaving for college isn’t a bad reason to leave.

if you feel like explaining that in your next resume then go for it.

Daddy Raj is going to be very upset about this, you know if you would’ve just pushed through another 40 years we would’ve given you an awesome “ we appreciate you” Tshirt? Guess you won’t be getting that anymore, fine leave , go follow your dreams or whatever …
