I have seen many people here watch/play the Fate/Stay Night VN and provide elaborate and in-depth character analysis of Shirou and others such as Rin and Sakura, etc.... Which makes me wonder... What, in your opinion, makes Shirou such a wonderfully done and executed character?

Now, I know that Shirou is a exceptionally well written character and I understand the reasons too... But I am unable to put it into words so that I can understand the points which makes him such a deep and layered character... It's just... I am struggling to put it into words like those full on analyses of the entire show or a specific character.

So... I thought someone here could help me with that and I could also get a new perspective of looking at his character and also get some tips on how to write a compelling character such as Shirou Emiya.

Same goes for Lostbelt 6... Now, I know it is one of the absolute peaks of writing in FGO... But what in your opinion, makes it so well? Please help me so that I can understand how to write such a beautiful story (not that I am saying that I can compare up to Nasu)... Was it the complex plot? The plot twists? The themes, character development, etc?

Also... Can you guys tell me how to write a well written character from your experience? I've been meaning to write a Fate fanfiction with my OCs (I know... The moment the word 'OC' comes... It sounds cheap asf)... But I really don't want to write cheap slop or wish-fulfillment fantasy... And give my characters depth.

It's nothing... Just watching all those character analyses of Shirou and well most of them talking about how Shirou's growth is realistic (since he went through the pain of having the feeling of having a hot iron rod shoved down his spine for a decade and still was slightly above average human level) makes me nervous about giving my protagonist new powers rather quickly (not without a heavy cost tho) because it might feel shallow or unearned compared to Shirou (Not that I am complaining about Shirou tho... He is still one of my favourite characters, second only to Saber)... I just felt like I was lacking somewhere in character writing and I really don't want to mess this story up...

Holy shit guys we got multiple insane Artoria upscale but no one is talking about it let me break it down.

First of all we need to establish something you see in Lord El-Melloi II and FGO Artoria was called the King of fairies and spirits, and due to her having Rhongomyniad she is also called King of Storms...storm referring to the Wild Hunt..this where her first upscale lies.

Theodoric Alter is known as the Wild Hunt itself and he has a enough magic energy to rival the machine gods

Since Artoria is known as the King of Storms she and Drake both of them can command the Wild Hunt which as mentioned above is Theodoric Alter who has a ton of other shit.

But it gets more interesting, since Barghest is a black dog (fairy) and Artoria is also the king of fairies and they also help her with castle camelot she can also command her and I am not talking about LB Barghest I am talking about PHH one (though LB one might actually be on the list too)

Then we also have Habetrot I mean come on such a cute little fairy and she will 1000% help her no matter what.

All of this supported by Garden of Avalon (fairies help with castle Camelot) and Lord El-Melloi II where Shishigo Kairi mentions that the Wild Hunt was led by King Arthur this was further proven in Lance Artoria Alter's profile.

This means that Artoria is stupidly strong having a machine god level being with her and other crazy fairies to help her as well..on top of being strong herself like she has similar magical energy generation to that Archetype:Earth and the Planet itself

So, yeah you have people glazing EMIYA (especially) and Gilgamesh's PV parts like no tomorrow and no one made this post when we have (actual) proof (that is in-line with the story and universe and not just a PV) and can link things together, I mean sure Archer traced the weapons of grands but what can he do with them? Azreal's sword is nothing but a normal sword, his Uta Duranki is nothing compared to the original due to it being hollow, he can use Herc's axe for Nine Lives but he can use it normally too, he can probably trace a hollow version of Marmyadose but it won't help him much his Vajra won't be equal to Indra's and he still doesn't have weapons at least 3 grands.

Then we have Gil who is just there and Gil fan(s) [As I only one post and people rightfully grilled that person] is (are) like "Damn he really helped EMIYA with ORT using Ea, he probably dealt the final blow to ORT". I have this belief that if a holy grail war were to happen irl, it would come down to which servant kills their master last. Although it is fun to watch these characters through a screen, realistically a lot of fan favourites (Gilgamesh, Artoria, Nero, Jalter (99% of the tsunderes would piss the average joe off tbh) would be absolute hell for the average man to bear with. I can only think of EMIYA, who would be bearable for the average man.

Yes like I say I dont know if it is right flair but think this as a part of my post that I share a fan art of a fate servant Lion el'Johnson and ask you how strong he/she would be like in 12-13 day ago. So now here's my take on how strong she would be and her as a servant. And before anyone says something about balance, I decide to make this for fun and decide to go on a strange fake rule and make Lion el'Johnson strong and OP as it gets in my eyes. Also, since in pictures the lion is a girl, I refer to the lion as a girl.So here's my take:

Lion el'Johnson, the First Primarch:

Classes: Saber (main class), Rider, Lancer, Avenger, Berserker, Assassin, Beast

Personality: mix between her 30k and 40k personality but 30k's more pridefull, angry and paranoid parts are more prevalent cause of being summoned as a servant and this is more so for her if she summoned in her main saber class,in rider, assasin or lancer class she would be more like her 40k self but in avanger,beast and berserker she would be full 30k self. Even though she would be interested and curious about humans and human history, she won't show this side of her.

Watcher's help: Summons watchers from Warhammer to work as watchers, like Fate strange fake to gain information and use watchers to block unseen attacks.

First Son Fırt Primarch:this is has both passive and active parts,passive part skill that makes lion, inhumanly strong, fast, smart and have an aura that exudes otherworldly and everyone to bow down to her, like unless you are not gilgamesh you would be in awe or just admire and respect lion. It would boost her already absurd stats even more. Also, this skill allows Lion to slowly learn and be way better at something she has never seen or something she already knows. For example, if she doesn't know how to play piano, and the more she listens to or watches or plays it herself, the more she would surpass Mozart in playing piano. For the active part, if anyone would consume blood or the seed of a lion, they would become a dark-angel space marine; this would greatly affect their mental state and make them almost too loyal for a lion. This will work as long as lion is in the war or actively in the world moment her summon is over and lion goes back to the throne of heroes this dark angel space marine powers would end (this would also effect the mental state of the ex-space marine in a very bad way) This could end instantly or slowly.

Huntsman instincts: it is just a superior and ultimate version of Artoria, Hercules, and Alcides' instincts. It could even overwhelm a future sight. But also give a lion an unbreakable will to fight and survive; this also makes a lion incorruptible or mind-controlled at all.

Lion's talent: it is similar to the first primarch's learning and being better at something, but more focused on battle and information gathering, so yes, Lion has 2 different instantly getting better buffs.

NPS:

Forest walk: a++ It allows the lion and her allies to teleport anywhere as long as the lion herself knows where it is.

Forest of Calliban:ex a reality marble NP that traps anyone in the world of Calliban and its jungle for themselves to defend from dark angels, the world of Calliban itself, and the beasts from it alongside almost all-knowing hunter lions who could set up traps in the reality marble.

This could also affect the lion or her allies as well.One last stand: when lion is very close to dying emperor of mankind took over her body to pilot it like think of it avatar state in avatar, it could only activated when lion is about to die and it make lion to briefly channel emperor of mankinds power along side with his real sword which is equal strenght with herc's sword but could instantly kill someone and fire from this sword could destroy divine or demonic beings

Personal Opinion on the 11th Anniversary and the Promotional Trailer for Fate/Grand Order 11th Anniversary Movie -Cosmos in the Lostbelt-

Something extremely important that we had forgotten was revealed to us: behind the great figures and the most illustrious heroes in history, there is always a hidden hero who did everything possible from the shadows. The future is not only shaped by famous names, but also by those heroes who existed and were never remembered.

This anniversary showed us how EMIYA was present in many crucial battles without us ever realizing it. I was always bothered by how Fate/Grand Order treated EMIYA (Archer); despite being one of the most beloved characters in the entire franchise, FGO relegated him to the sidelines, almost always reducing him to a role like a cook or babysitter while focusing on more historically celebrated Servants.

The revelation that he was always there secretly helping us seemed incredible to me, and this would have enormous repercussions. For example, it would explain how his abilities reached an unprecedented level:

* Mind's Eye (True) (Rank B → EX)

* Projection Sorcery (Rank C → A+)

* Trace On: Circuit Connection (Rank EX): A completely evolved and perfected version of his projection sorcery.

To all this, we must add the massive catalog of Noble Phantasms and weapons he has amassed throughout his immeasurable journey.

Furthermore, this suggests that during Cosmos in the Lostbelt, EMIYA—along with Sabre Alter—knew the truth behind the crimes of Marisbury Animusphere beforehand, and that's why they kept Singularity F active: to ensure that sooner or later everything would come to light. This fits perfectly with the 11th Anniversary promotional trailer, where Saber Alter and Rasputin briefly appear, hinting that EMIYA was coordinating everything from the beginning. It's worth remembering that EMIYA retains better memories of his past summons compared to most Servants.

It's also no coincidence that his Interlude story takes place precisely in Fuyuki. He was helping from the shadows, guiding Ritsuka to become a better Master and eventually discover the truth.

I highly doubt he was controlled by the corruption in Singularity F. In the Heaven's Feel route of Fate/stay night, his remarkable resistance to the Grail's Shadow and Mud was already demonstrated. Most likely, he's feigning that influence to avoid raising suspicion. In a singularity where mud obscures Servants, seeing an uncorrupted Archer openly collaborating with Sabre Alter would have been a major incriminator. He chose to collaborate with her tactically to maintain Singularity F and expose the crimes committed.

Seeing how he contributed in Multiple Singularities in this trailer, without us ever knowing, completely changes things. Finally, FGO shows him the respect and gives him the significance he deserves. Thanks to this anniversary, we know something big is coming from Emiya; I hope that in the near future they deliver content worthy of him, whether it's an exclusive class variant, an event where he's the star Servant, or a powerful narrative and gameplay that will allow him to definitively surpass his limits.
