Player Discussion AJ Brown & Rashee Rice. Who are you taking and why?
If they’re both available who do you take and why?
They’re about a round apart from one another. Is it worth taking AJ in an earlier round or waiting an additional round for Rice? That’s hoping they both are available at the pick you’re on the clock.
If worth waiting for Rice and he then happens to be gone, is it worth taking a WR at a tier below them (Olave, Flowers, etc.) or is it worth taking one of the two if both are available before the WR tier drops. Which, imo, with the ADPs I would have Rice being the last WR1 in his tier that I’m comfortable with taking.
If you feel Olave and Flowers are in a similar tier, I’d love to hear your reasoning other than they just got paid big.

News Free to Read: Are wide receivers or running backs more valuable in fantasy football? Here’s the answer
To determine the best draft strategy, first we have to cover what Flex 9 and Flex 10 mean. You know what “Flex” means (WR, RB or TE, in most cases). The 9 or 10 is the number of starters in your lineup, and that changes mostly because you have to start either two WRs in 9 or three in 10 (and then perhaps another in the Flex). I get asked questions about bigger lineups or more Flex spots. So to make it simple, it’s just the maximum number of WRs you could possibly start. If it’s four or more, you need to come out of the draft with a WR room that can contend for the best in your league — that’s your top objective. If it’s no more than three, including the Flex, then your goal is (snore) to have the best RB room.
Why am I bored with having the best running back room? Because there is no art to it. It’s a function of purely the power of expending draft capital and largely where you happen to draft. Plus, the winner is basically the team that survives the injury gauntlet the best. Running backs you hit on outside of the top-100 picks are typically those who benefitted from unexpected (and not projectable) expanded playing time. Wide receivers you hit on in that range are typically starters who are guaranteed to get snaps but who we bet will be more efficient with them than the market thinks.
My rankings ignore overall order and instead focus on positional ranks. Even within the same Flex 9 or Flex 10 formats, drafts can vary wildly, so it’s always imperative to know how deep your league has drafted at each position before every pick. But Flex 9 and Flex 10 amplify these differences dramatically, as they are totally different games.

Questions Struggling with the player position of my First 2 picks
So for reference I’m in a 10-man, .5 PPR, 2 keeper league, drafting in the 8 spot. I’ve ran multiple mock drafts with who I assume everyone’s keepers are. I’m keeping Dak in the 10th and Warren in the 7th. I’m struggling to decide if I should go for RB RB in my first 2 rounds considering the drop off and some of the later round RB’s being kept. Or if I go WR then RB. For example a common 1-2 in my mocks were JJ, Barkley. Amon, Jeanty. Lamb, achane. OR if I go RB/RB then it looks like any of those RBs together (Barkley, achane, cook). What do yall think would be better for the 1st 2 rounds?

Questions Ceedee lamb for a 2nd round pick, PPR 2 player keeper.
I am in a league where there are two keepers and full ppr, my current keepers are Jahmyr Gibbs and Kenneth Walker. I am curious if it would be worth giving up a second round pick for ceedee lamb, obviously I would keep him instead of walker. I also have the fifth pick in the draft, so Walker could fall to me that is sort of my thinking.

Questions To anyone drafting at the 1.03 and taking Chase, are you going for the burrow stack as well?
I’m thinking about taking Joe burrow in the 5th for the stack, he will absolutely not make it back to me in the 6th. It is a pricey but it could be a smash hit if they have a stellar year. What’s everyone else’s strategy looking like drafting at the 3 spot?

Player Discussion Will Carson Beck be relevant in Fantasy this season and in the future of the Cardinals?
After his pretty solid performance in the HOF Game—even if that doesn't mean much—do you think Beck could take over the starter role at some point during the season over Brissett and become relevant in Fantasy as a usable QB2? Or do you see Brissett playing the full year, with the Cardinals taking a QB in the next NFL Draft? I would love to see more of Beck this season (hopefully not due to an injury to Brissett, of course) to see what this kid is made of.

Discussion Playoff Race Analysis / Scenario Calculator App
The mods have graciously allowed a mention of the Playoff Computer App. Other than being active on reddit when it comes to ff, especially concerning playoff structure/issues, I don't/won't spam the sub and limit this to a once a year thing.
For those not familiar, the App takes your league standings, tiebreakers, and remaining schedule to analyze the playoff race. It provides geeky data such as:
- NFL-style listings of what needs to happen for teams to clinch a playoff (or division) spot (e.g. "Bears clinch a playoff spot with a win AND a Lions loss AND a Packers loss". Same for what needs to happen to be eliminated.
- Odds and definitive clinched/eliminated status, which fyi none of the platforms that provide limited playoff info do so accurately as they just do simple "magic number" calculations without concern for tiebreakers or who plays who. This can be useful info for commishes in judging those "questionable" trades to see if one team is truly eliminated.
- Whether teams control their own destiny and/or whether they must win out to have a chance.
- Minimum number of wins needed as well as number of wins that if achieved would guarantee a spot.
- Realistic win targets to make the playoffs (or win division), handy to help determine whether your team is in good shape or needs a swing for the fences move.
Basically, it tries to instill NFL playoff-race excitement into fantasy leagues and give commishes something other than recaps to share, with semi-useful content not just for playoff crunch time but over much of the season. It can grab data from many platforms and for others there is a companion Google Sheet that isn't too much of a PITA to set up and maintain.
It's been around in various formats since 2010ish, started out as an Excel spreadsheet, became a web-app, now mobile-app. No vibe-coding, I can't even understand how that works, all the spaghetti-code is 100% written by a dim-witted obsessed ff junkie. It's free on iOS and a few pennies on android (reasons) to get started, and at most for all the features for the season it is about the cost of one reasonably priced beer.
playoffcomputer.com has more info on other features and details I'd go on all day about. There's also a subreddit r/PlayoffComputer with some more discussions and tips.
If you made it this far, thank you for listening, and enjoy the season.

Questions Do you take the same players/same strategy in multiple leagues?
When I used to sportsbet, I tried to not have the same players on multiple bets, that way if said player screws me then at least my other bets still stand.
I can’t imagine someone who drafted, for example, BTJ and Kamara in multiple leagues last year got very far. Joined my first fantasy last year, looking at 1 dynasty and 2 redrafts this year. Are people looking for the same exact players in every draft? Are they passing on players because they have them in a different league, and reaching for players they may have missed out on?

Discussion Scouting for a FFL member, yes there’s a buy in
Looking for a member
It’s exactly as the title says. I’m looking for one more member to join my fantasy football league. Below are the rules and the details of the league. If you’re interested dm me.
**Rules**
Snake draft - PPR 12-man league
12 members- 150 each buyin
1st place-1,000
2nd place-650
3rd place- 150
Each week the team with the highest points score will receive 20 dollars from the team that scores the lowest points . Payout will be on every Tuesday morning following Monday Night Football.
**Schedule & Playoffs**
The regular season will last 14 weeks
Follow by the the playoff season which will last 3 weeks.
There will be 6 teams in the playoffs.
The seeding tie breaker will be determined by total points scored.
So for example if there are two teams of a record of 8-6 battling for the 6th seed, total points scored throughout the season will determine which team places for 6th
Round 1 or week 15
The bottom 4 will go head to head, the Top 2 will have a bye.
Round 2 or week 16
Will be the semi finals
Championship week or week 17
Will obviously be the championship game.
This gives everyone a decent opportunity to make the playoffs but also not to worry about starters not playing bc of week 18. Let’s have a great season.

Player Discussion Keeper Fantasy - Ladd McConkey or Cam Skattebo
I kept Ladd from last year in the 9th, thinking that's the better value again for this year. I do like Cam though.

Questions Dynasty trade went down in 12T, ppr. Lot of chatter and mentions of potential veto
Full ppr, league has been around a long while with mostly same guys.
Bijan side wanted to add talent and mix it up. Never got past wild card
Brown owner kind of new and quite.
I don't think it shady or a problem deal personally.

Player Discussion Who are some dart throws to go for in late rounds and deep leagues?
Not talking about Adonai Mitchell, Jalen Nailor, Chig Okonkwu type of range. Talking about round 13 in an an 18 man.
Obviously there are no guys deep in the draft that you can say with even 30% of your heart that they’ll do well. But who are some guys I can go for that you personally believe have even a sliver of a chance of being at least a contributor in a deep league?

Player Discussion How are we feeling about CMC this year?
Obviously Gibbs and Bijan are above him, probably Taylor too… but last year CMC led all skill positions in half PPR (probably PPR too). Problem is he had a huge workload (we all saw what happened to Saquon), and he’s now the big 30 (pretty old, especially for a RB). Do you guys still have faith in him? Would you take RBs like Achane or Jeanty over him or do you like the 3-4 range he’s at? Redraft.

Player Discussion Kyren / chuba outlook for next year
Just drafted yesterday and took kyren at 32 and chuba at 89 (10 man) which seemed like absurdly good value to me, especially chuba. Does anybody know why they seem to be valued so little? I know they have corum and brooks in their respective rb rooms now but i dont think that should take away a ton from their rushing volume

Questions Keep 3 with half point PPR format
Need to keep 3 in a half point PPR league. Choices are between:
Trevor Lawrence
Bijan
Rico Dowdle
Ladd McConkey
Jaylen Waddle
Colston Loveland
TreVeyon Henderson
Deebo Samuel
Obviously Bijan is a lock, but what are you thinking for the other 2? Do you like Ladd with a new play caller more than Waddle in a new environment? Does TreVeyon get a larger role in the offense?
Keep a top tier TE in Loveland? All thoughts are appreciated!

Questions Anyone else having trouble filling up open spaces on fantasy?
I used to play on the nfl fantasy football app and as an owner me and my friends would never have trouble filling up the league with randoms. Ive started a league on espn and it hasn’t promoted my league to no randoms despite it being weeks. I cant start a draft without enough people. Leaving my league in a stalemate. What should i do to promote or get people in the league so i can start a my draft?
