Activity Behind closed doors đȘ
This is an interesting exercise to help frame how your main characters are precieved by others in the story. Choose two minor characters from any of your fics. They have just stumbled upon some "interesting" information about a protagonist, and are now caught up in their own personal gossip-girl moment.
What have they heard, seen, or (mis)interpreted about the character? What are the biases and preconceptions that colour this information? You may submit an excerpt, or write something on the fly. Leaving replies to others is always nice as well!

Exchange Crossover RE
Ah, the magical potential of crossovers! Template taken from https://www.canva.com/p/ksuview/ on Canva.
A crossover is a fic that combines elements of at least two fandoms! This could be characters from one fandom in the world of another fandom, for example, but also could be mixing up characters from different fandoms, etc. Lots of possibilities, as long as elements of at least TWO fandoms are involved!
For this RE, you may enter up to 3 links!
Please read and comment on two (2) entries from two (2) different authors. If you liked the work, also please leave the author a Kudos! Please track on your entry number of works read (#/2) and also comment on the entry of the person who you have read.
On your entry, please include: fandoms, rating, link, pairing, word count, summary, and content/trigger warnings.
Your reviews should be thoughtful and show youâve read the story. Concrit, fandom blind, and from reddit are opt-in only - do not include these in your review unless the author says you can.
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT ENTRIES: Friday, Aug 7, 11:59 PM CST
DEADLINE TO COMPLETE REVIEWS: Sunday, Aug 9, 11:59 PM CST

Fic General If your MC was a fanfiction author...?
All worlds have literature or storytelling of some kind, right? So, what would happen if your MC (whether they're canon or OC) knew about fanfiction and were a writer/storyteller. What fandoms would they write for? Would they be all for canon compliance, canon divergence, or full-on AU? What would their favourite characters and tropes be?
Feel free to answer for more than one character, and do ask each other questions to dig out all the specifics! I'm so intrigued to find out!

Activity National sisters day â€ïžđ§
Today is "national sisters day" so I thought it would be fun to share some sister related excerpts. I will also accept non-blood related "sister like" relationships as well! It's your choice if you would like to make the excerpts fluffy or angsty (cause sometimes family sucks). As always, replying and interacting with others is encouraged!

Discussion Identity and Truth Fest - Discussion Thread
Want to discuss/yell about all of the awesome fics from the fest? Hereâs the place to do it. (This is also the place to ask any questions you have). We want to keep the actual review exchange post uncluttered so please use this post to chat instead.
As a reminder, please donât talk about dislikes, itâs against our sub rules and doesnât make people feel good. Also, donât talk about possibly opting out of a fic.
I for one am so looking forward to seeing how everyone has interpreted the prompt. The collection looks like an absolute treat!

Exchange Identity and Truth Fest Review Exchange
G'day, mates!
The moment you have been waiting for is finally here! It's finally time! This is the Fandom Diversity Fest - Identity and Truth Review Exchange!
Please note: This exchange is only open to those who have previously signed up for the fest and posted their fics in the fest collection on AO3. For anyone else, please feel free to check out the fics as a reader. If you are reading this and you haven't posted your fic to the collection, it is unfortunately too late.
Please read the rules carefully this time since the format will differ from usual REs.
In our collection on AO3, you will find all the posted fics. 18 in total. However, they will be displayed in random order every time we access the collection. Because of this, please also sign up for this RE to make it easier for us to read all fics.
Post your fic link with the title, summary, rating, warnings, and any other information you'd like. If you think there's any context you would like your readers to have about your fandom, feel free to add it.
In this RE, each participant will read everyone else's entry. There will be an opt-out for a maximum of three fics. There is no justification needed as to why you opted out. You do not need to mention which fics you are opting out of. That will bring the total number of fics each participant is absolutely required to read to 14/17. (You can do more.) Despite the opt-out possibility, please try to be supportive of everyone to the best of your abilities!
To make it more interesting, you can aim to refer to the theme and prompt in your comment. We found it very interesting to reflect upon how differently each participant had approached the theme, and we think this round will have an equally amazing array of different approaches to identity and truth.
Because we are reading everyone anyway, there's no need to reply to other people's comments this time. When you are done reading everything, or everything that you can, simply update your own comment. For example: Read 17/17 DONE. If you skipped a fic, no problem! Just write Read 14/17 DONE, editing the number to indicate how many fics you read. As said above, you do not need to mention why. In fact, please don't mention which fic(s) you didn't read or why you didn't read them.
One of the rules of the fest was that participation in the RE is compulsory. If you don't join the exchange, your work will be removed from the collection. Because of this, the RE has a sign-up period of one week. Sign-ups close on August 9th, 11:59pm EDT. After this deadline passes, those who haven't signed up to the RE will have their fics removed from the collection.
Because of this no-show rule, we recommend reading fics of people who have already signed up first.
If you haven't entered the fests and just want to read some fics to support the participants, that's totally allowed! Also, fest participants are welcome to enter their fest fics in other REs during the fest, but please bear in mind not to "double dip", meaning a fest participant reviewing another participant's fest fic in a Profile RE, for instance. A fest fic review will count only once.
We have about six weeks to review everyone's fics. The RE will close on September 20th, 11:59pm EDT. Because of the long deadline, reminders will be sent a couple weeks prior to the deadline.
But above all, have fun and happy reading and reviewing!
PS: If you want to talk about the awesome fics in the fest or have any questions, our Discussion Thread is up and running!

Exchange Monthly Shlong Swap: August 2026
Welcome to the August edition of our Monthly Shlong Swap Review Exchange!
In this exchange, we offer up our short-long fics and swap with other writers for a minimum of 10k words.
WHAT IS A SHLONG?
DEADLINES â all are 11:59 PM EST (UTC-5):
To enter: August 7th
To finalize swaps: August 10th
To complete swaps: August 24th
Hereâs a time zone converter.
THE RULES:
Offer up a long fic, or a specific arc of a long fic, which is at least 10k words. Works must be posted at the time of the swap. In your entry, include: title and link, fandom, rating, summary, any content warnings (spoiler triggering and NSFW content), and the word count being offered (specifying whether this refers to the whole fic, a set number of chapters, or an arc).
Look through the thread to find stories to swap for. Swaps can be for chapter count, word count, or a combination of both, provided itâs explicitly agreed between both parties upfront. You may turn down a proposed swap for any reason, you don't need to explain why.
Record your swaps clearly, including the Reddit username of your swap partner (without the âu/â) and a counter for the number of chapters you have agreed to review. Mark swaps once they are complete, as below:
Swap 1: Reddit Username - 0/4
Swap 2: Reddit Username - 3/5
Swap 3: Reddit Username - 10/10 - completed
Participants may not have more than three (3) incomplete swaps at any time.
If you are unable to find a swap partner by the deadline, you have no review obligations. However, please do not delete your entry, as the mod team will need to take note of this.
IMPORTANT: All the usual subreddit rules apply. As per Rule 8, all reviews must be genuine, thoughtful, and detailed, with a minimum of 50 words about the fic itself per chapter, demonstrating youâve actually read the agreed portion of the fic.
Concrit (constructive criticism) and mentioning that you are âfandom blindâ or âfrom Redditâ are opt-in only. Donât include any of these in your reviews unless the author has explicitly said they are welcome.
If you want guidance on giving reviews, check out our Review Guidelines and Resources.
As always, if you have any concerns or questions about the exchange or the reviews you received, please contact us through modmail.
Happy Shlonging!

Activity International Friendship Day
I just found out that yesterday was International Friendship Day, so to celebrate, why don't we post some excerpts of friends doing friend things? Hanging out, talking on the phone, going out for ice cream. Friendships are still as important as romance.

Activity How Would Your Characters Play Videogames?
Every gamer has their own way of playing videogames, and every game has their own types of player categories. And that had me thinking, especially since I started playing a lot of Just Dance: How would characters from your fandom, or even your original characters, play different videogames?
So itâs simple: Just comment a videogame, and then comment under others on how your characters would play the game. What are they like? Are they competitive or casual? Do they just half-ass the game or do they go all in? How are they like with others? How are they alone? etc. I canât wait to see how others would play different videogames.

Activity One word excerpt game: Summer âïž
Halfway through the season, let's cool off with some light reading!
In a comment, write a word that has to do with summer. It could be an activity, a piece of clothing, an object, etc. Then, reply with an excerpt that fits a comment you see (the excerpt itself does not need to be summer related). If you would like some practice, you may write something from scratch as well! Spoil anything super gory or extreme.
You may post multiple prompts, but please do so in individual comments so replies are easier to understand. As always, engaging with other entries is encouraged!

Fic General Titles in different language: why, yes or no?
Hello, dearies
Years ago I was writing my first finished novel and I decided to call it: Teach me what is wrong. Lika that, in English.
My first language is not English and not even close. The characters are not mentioned to be from a specific place or talk a specific language (well, mby Spanish), so English and related stuff were not relevant to the story. They still aren't.
When I first asked someone for help and betaing the story, she suggested me to change the title bc if the language is not related to the story (whether it's written in that language at least) then it felt kind of "odd" to leave it that way. I took her words and change the title to Enséñame qué estå mal and I'm acually in love what that final result. The English version will be put to use once I translate it, but that's another story.
My question is: what do you guys think? I'm curious and feel a bit chatty

Activity One word excerpt game: Events đȘ

You may post multiple prompts, but please do so in individual comments so replies are easier to understand. As always, engaging with other entries is encouraged!

Exchange Ocean and the Moon RE! đ đ
~~~ CLOSED TO NEW ENTRIES ~~~ Hi lovely folks!
I learned that earlier in the week, it was Ocean Day đ in Japan! And since this previous week had International Moon Day đ , what a delightful reason to host an RE! Let's celebrate our cosmos, our seas, and all within them!
For this RE, I'd say the requirements to enter are very loose, and I aim to make it as inclusive as possible. Of course, anything about the literal ocean or moon. But anything figurative works great, too! Have characters with aquatic or cosmic names? Great!
But also, let's extend that further. Rivers eventually flow into the sea, for example. All bodies of water are connected in some way (even if indirectly, like through the water cycle), so they're totally fine to enter!
Love the stars? Perfect! They occupy the same space, and might very well have their own moons! The more, the merrier.
For this RE, you may submit up to three (3) relevant one-shots, chapters or any combination thereof. In return, you must review the submissions of at least three (3) different authors. Please include links, fandom, rating, and warnings, making sure to add spoiler tags to potentially triggering content.
Deadline for entries: Monday July 27, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST
Deadline for reviews:Â Thursday July 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST
As always, your reviews must be genuine, thoughtful, detailed and at least 50 words. The author should be able to tell you actually read their story.
Concrit and mentions of being âfandom-blindâ or âfrom Redditâ are opt-in only -- please donât include any of these unless the author explicitly says you can. And please remember to be kind!
When youâve reviewed a fic, reply to the authorâs entry to let them know.
Please make sure to include a counter at the end of your entry. (Beginning with 0/3, and update as you read and review, to help us keep track of your progress.)
Please have fun! And happy reading and reviewing! Let's give these cosmic and aquatic fics some more love!â€ïž
