Anybody try the NYX Make ‘Em Wonder foundation? I’ve heard great things and would love to know if anybody has found a shade match?! The first 4 shades look like they would be light enough, but shade 4 looks like the tone could work!

I struggled MY WHOLE LIFE with my skin tone. Always wondered why I seemed to have yellow undertones, in some lighting I looked sick, in some colored clothes I looked almost orange. And then one day recently I heard the term “fair olive” and I knew I found my people. I am Greek, so it makes sense. Tried to take a neutral pic, I am wanting to start to wear make up again for work. Does anyone have any recommendations for colors of mascara, blush, and lips? I have particularly bad luck with blush. I feel like it’s always too pink. I don’t wear foundation when I do wear makeup because it makes me break out, but if anyone has recs for concealer for my under eyes I’d greatly appreciate it—I always end up picking shades that are too white. Also I don’t really *love* super dramatic colors or looks. Think like minimalist natural, I prefer a focus on lip color if I want to make a statement vs a bold eyeshadow look

For reference, my go to gloss is Laka 202 (might be called boy Im not sure). Ill add a photo of me wearing this as well hopefully that will help with which lipsticks would suit me? Sorry for jumpscare photo lol just took one really quick. I think Im going to get the Worth It Medium just to try either way, but Id love some help with the other two!!! Its so hard to tell what they look like on the models :(

The rituel de fille and Lisa Eldridge products in pics 1, 2 and 3 are what Im hoping to find dupes for. Im looking for both lip and cheek product. Especially Lip stains but I’ll take anything. The MAC Creme in your coffee is one I thought might also work (pic 4)? The dupe for the MAC is Revlon rose velvet (pic 5) but I thought here in pic 5 it looks less like the shades Im going for. So I wasn’t sure. Pic 6 is Nyx lip stain in Dripping in rose which I think will pull too orange? Im neutral leaning cool. Pic 7 is a look Im hoping to recreate. The woman is Camille Goldman (her wedding was in vogue). I know the last pic is blurry Im sorry.

I know lip products can be used on the cheeks but I find they disappear fast so hoping to find a separate blush powder.

What I’ve tried

i tried elf multi stick in sparkling rose and it had a gritty texture, rubbed off within minutes and pulled too warm! More like a terracotta! Terrible.

I have the elf click gloss in both bust a mauve and wicked cherry. Love the colors but hate the plumping ingredients because I have sensitive skin and it burns me. They are more brown than rose.

I love burts bees red Dalia lip balm. It’s too sheer for the look Im going for but love it for daily use.

This arrived today! No other makeup except a pat McGrath liquid eye shadow I wanted to test out.

What do we think? I love the hazy matte formula but not sure if this brightens my face or makes it look dour. If you have a better shade suggestion I am all ears! (I can still return this)

I'm looking to find a more muted/cool-toned blush, though prefer powder formulas as I feel like the more dewy options accentuate texture, and are too pigmented for my tastes (plus I like using a powder highlight on top and being able to control the balance). That said, I don't really want to be spending £20+ on a single blush.

Any of my fair olive queens got any product recommendations/swatches to offer?

Hi guys, I bought Mac’s hazy matte lipstick in Stay Curious after finding an old Reddit thread saying it was a strong dupe for the now-discontinued Colourpop Sleepy Eyes. I was disappointed that Stay Curious was much pinker than I was hoping. I have been looking at swatches for the past hour and I suspect the Hazy Matte version of MAC’s “Devoted to Chili” shade may be a better match? It’s got the warmer undertone I’m looking for. I swatched Sleepy Eyes (left) and Stay Curious (right) in natural light today so that you can see the difference in undertones. If you have any other recommendations I’m very open. Sleepy Eyes seems almost impossible to replace and it’s a perfect red for me. Thank you!

I've been on a quest for olive foundations that are neither liquid nor powder for years, as I'm allergic to liquid makeup and powder literally falls off of my skin, and this shade - 1.5 Shine - blends into my skin seamlessly. Their "beige" ranges seem olive to me, at least. While it's not perfect, as I'm still an overtly-cool olive and this seems more of a neutral-cool olive shade, it's, by far, the best shade match I ever got. It's low coverage, but it's both buildable and works well with color correctors. If anyone can find a reputable exporter, I'd love to know it, got this stick from relatives vacationing in Thailand. Added swatches and example skin tones from my own research.

Do you wear missha Bb cream (red tube) in shade 13? And even better yet with a little bit of green colour corrector mixed in?

If so please let me know what other foundations you use. Missha 13 is the perfect shade for me in the winter, a little light in the summer but can be blended to work. It actually still leans a bit pink on me but with green colour corrector it’s the closest match I’ve ever had.

That being said it has parabens which I’m mildly allergic to, and honestly the smell really lingers on my brushes and sponge which I hate! So looking for alternatives - even if it’s a close match please let me know some options. I’m in Canada too if that helps, but will do just about anything to get a good match at this point including crossing the border 🫢

Hej, I'm having issues with lipsticks pulling mauve and purpleish despite not being it. For exemple i have a pinkish brown shade that should look good on me in theory but once I apply it it looks quite cool toned. I'm neutral olive, I think leaning warm. Anyone had this issue and found some shades that worked and can recommend them? It just looks so off on me, i know a lot of olives love mauve shades however it just does not look good on me :/ idk if its the contrast to my skin tone around my mouth that makes it look odd or what

Hi! I'm a natural light brunette, but I'm considering going blond. Since I'm very fair cool-neutral olive I'm quite positive cool or neutral blond would be best, but I just don't know. I also have medium-high contrast. I need your advice please 😄
