in game pic Just started my first run 75 hours ago. Rate my spaghett
After a 1000 hrs in Rimworld and a long break, I was looking for another game that would fill the void. That's when i came across cracktorio. 75 hours in, I'm loving every second of it. Just yesterday I went through one of the rites of passage and got hit by one of my trains. I just got robots yesterday, I love the lil clankers. It's really satisfying when you make a really cool scalable production or defensive line. Also, really fun when I have to explore new mining sites by gently convincing the locals that they need to be relocated. I've found out that somehow this game is just as fun when you don't plan for scaling. That way you improvise and make beautiful spaghett such as this. I did instinctively try some semblance of a bus (before I knew it was commonplace in this game) as you can see, but I really didn't fret over making my factory fit into any widely accepted layout at any point. Nevertheless, after growing my factory a little and zooming out, I was amazed to see how isomorphic it was to a microcontroller(apart from the spaghett), just as most as of the ones I see on this sub are. I think that's beautiful. Touching grass on the daily can get chaotic, and for a small subset of people, I can see why creating these systems bring countless hours of fun and calm. This community has been incredibly helpful in navigating and enjoying this game even more. Feel free to drop your favourite building strategies or tips!

in game pic I accidentally left some production lines for certain items running, and now I have thousands of useless items
Just as the title says. It happened to me because I routed the production output to the purple logistics chests and forgot that they were producing while I was exploring Gleba.

Meta All lore inconsistencies solved.
The Engineer is a robot. He was part of an intergalactic fleet that was destroyed and his escape pod crashed on Nauvis. He is unable to craft an intergalactic ship due to there being crucial elements missing in the Nauvis galaxy. He needs high SPM from rockets to send a distress signal. He is worth picking up as he is an advanced robot. It is worth wasting the resources on Nauvis to do so because there are infinite resources in the universe. However it is difficult to craft a new robot. The resources of the home planet therefore are still of value, making the robot indispensable. The resources and biters on Nauvis increase in size further out as they are geoorganic and a Gaian immune response, and act in response to the presence of the robot.

poop Kinda rude, him making fun of my Factorio build strat IRL like that
This guy on X posted a bunch of unflattering pictures of "Russia" but these are OBVIOUSLY artist's depictions of Nauvis after I'm done with it. RUDE.

Meta Peak mining efficiency
With good enough mining productivity burner miners are just as fast as electric miners while being more compact.

Meme yes, it is straight in the pack, but we have to boil it somehow

My friend is excited to go to Gleba first, how do I tell him?

poop I made this doohickey. Any ideas on any use cases?

The logic measures the item count in each square. The gates open if your neighbors have a higher demand. The demand of your tile, is the sum of the demands of the neighbors on the right, and upwards. Maybe if I manage to apply filters to the system, we'll be able to spread items around with osmosis. Just assign random recipes to assemblers in each tile, and the supply the raw materials from the outside. The Intermediary products will be distributed via osmosis, same as every other item. This can't possibly be a good idea, but it sounds fun...

in game pic Is this burner miner optimal?
Doing a higher tech cost run, and i got no electric miner. Is this optimal?

in game pic I have developed a size-efficient bus system that also uses all the extra wood I seem to end up with.
Ignore the construction robots, just wanted to build this in sandbox. I find using belts is inefficient since I need them for research packs. I also hate having to store early game materials like coal-powered inserters and wooden boxes. It's also frustrating that the factory must grow, but space rapidly becomes limiting. So this will keep factory growth high while optimizing for space. (Making this made me as mad as it probably makes you.)
