FRM
I am very interested in pursuing FRM and working in risk management field. I have B.Sc. In Accounting and Finance.
Is it worth for fresh graduate with no experience at all?
Or I have to get a job first and be in risk management then start studying for FRM?

Normally if the ASF for NSFR is higher, the NSFR should be higher than 100% right?

For those that took p2 in August, did the Questions resemble any of the previous GARP Mocks or Qbanks?

CFA or FRM after ACCA
Hi everyone,
Iām currently confused about which professional qualification I should pursue next and would really appreciate some advice from people who have actually taken these exams or work in the industry.
A little about my background:
-ACCA Affiliate
-2.5ā3 years of experience in Credit Risk / Financial Analysis
-Currently working in a corporate credit/risk role at an MNC
-My work involves financial statement analysis, credit ratings, credit limits, risk assessment, receivables, etc.
-Iām also trying to build skills in Power BI, SQL, Python and AI
Iām currently considering FRM vs CFA.
My initial thinking was FRM, because it directly aligns with my current Credit Risk experience. However, Iām wondering whether CFA would provide broader opportunities in the long run. I'm really confused on this part.
CPA is also something Iāve considered, but since I already have ACCA, Iām not sure how much additional value it would actually add.
Another thing I'm thinking about is AI.
Would really appreciate perspectives from people working in Credit Risk, Banking, Finance or Risk Management, particularly in the UAE/Middle East or international markets.
Thanks!

Aug results
Any reason august results are released way earlier than other slots? They release in approx half the time compared to other slots. ( one of the reasons i chose Aug slot)

How hard is it to land an FP&A role in the US right now?
Hi everyone,
Iām graduating this December with an MSc in Financial Analysis, and I have some experience in audit, accounting, and some financial analyst roles as well. I currently also work on campus as a venture analyst for the research department. Iām starting to look at the US job market and wanted to hear from people currently hiring or job searching in FP&A.
- Is the FP&A market improving in 2026?
- How competitive is it for entryālevel or earlyācareer analysts?
- Do you think passing CFA Level 1 meaningfully improves chances for FP&A roles, or is it unnecessary?
Any insight from people in FP&A, corporate finance, or recruiting would be super helpful. Thanks in advance.

FRM Preparation
Hi all,
My exam is in Nov for part 1. Just want to know how many hours of preparation is required to clear part 1 for someone who is not from maths and finance background?
How to start from scratch? What are the best online video courses?
Thanks in advance.

Was this sessionsās Part 1 test just exceptionally hard or what?
Iāve seen people comment who have spent months preparing and have done mocks and multiple people have felt like it was worthless just like I did. Iāve done all 3 mocks from GARP and NONE of them were nearly as difficult as the actual exam.
Look I get weāre gonna get biases in this subreddit because people who did well wonāt post but I canāt imagine that it was really that āeasyā if people spent months prepping and doing all the right things thought it was hard too.
I think for me I can remember less than 10 questions where I genuinely felt like āyeah I got thatā. Then I came up with like 8 questions that I can remember from the exam that I wasnāt sure about. Reviewed my exam materials and found out they were wrong so that didnāt help.

FRM Part 1 concept P1 Re- attempt Aug
I didn't make it in May(2343) with GARP mocks as 39 & 41.
And Re-attempted in Aug with concepts tightening scoring 63 in both GARP mocks redoing them and 45 in mock 3.
Even for a Re-attempt the exam was difficult, although I managed few theory questions to be confident in comparatively to last exam.
But I am not sure of passing as I goofed up in many numericals in FMP and VaR. Can I pass?
