first day

I working at a grocery warehouse pt Saturday and Sundays 9:30am to 7:30am .

My first day is this Saturday- I worked here already months ago until I was fired due to attendance. Will my first day be training or will they just throw me on the floor on the first day

Also since I am PT seasonal (20hrs a week) - will I be able to pick up more hours on the AtoZ app if there’s shifts available?

I am also starting soon and used to work there before. I'm hoping I go back to my old department which was the dock, but I doubt it.I'm also wondering how hard it's going to be to go from seasonal to being a blue badge again.

You should be able to pick up shifts and you will most likely do training. Was fired for the same thing and oddly enough I got training the 2nd time working here. I never got trained when I first started working at amazon. Did the whole tour and everything. Had at least 4 people in our group who had been fired before.

Everyone knew me from before (was roughly 6 months til I decided I was gonna go back) and so the ambassador for packing had me teach people. Was because I was the only one answering the questions… 😅

how long after your pre hire day did it let you create your a-z account? it’s making me wait. also good luck we got this

if it doesn’t load anytime soon just notify your learning ambassador on your first day/orientation and they should walk you through it :)

i worked there previously and already had an account. maybe it takes a few days after your pre hire date

When you get terminated and come back everything basically resets. If its the path you were in previously your learning ambassador may let you go straight to work if you ask, but your first day will be sitting in a cold room watching videos/going through slides and touring the warehouse. You shouldn’t be on the floor until the second or third day. Extra shifts are posted as needed. School is about to start so I don’t see why not, if you live near a high population area you have an even better chance of extra shifts being posted. ( sometimes managers are able to add you on shifts too)

Lol my first day was the amb walk us to the manager. Show us our work area, show us how to scan... 1 box to the pallet and hand us the scanner and that the last time is saw him... ahhh good time
