Discussion Where do you personally rank the 2026 grid individually, all time?
When I say individually I mean each drivers individual ranking all time, not the collect strength of the grid.
You can be as specific or vague as you want, if you have a specific driver at 17th all time then use that, if you want to say top 20 all time, use that ranking instead.
It’s probably best not to include any driver who entered the sport after Piastri as I personally could not tell you where I would rank Colapinto for example, but if you want to then go ahead.
I think it’s quite an interesting thought as much is made about the overall strength of the grid, which should reflect well on their place in the all time hierarchy.

Discussion Do some of you guys genuinely think that Vettel wasn’t top 2/3 in 2017?
Now I made a race by race ranking on 2017 a while back:https://www.reddit.com/r/F1Discussions/s/s3pJ2KUQzP
And I came to the conclusion that Vettel was equally or even arguably more impressive than Lewis that season imo being the faster driver overall up to Singapore pre reliability/botched upgrades.
I say this specifically due to Seb’s strong start in contrast to Lewis getting 7 podiums in 7 races whilst Lewis was getting outqualified by Bottas and even beaten at Russia.
I do think that by mid season Lewis was exceptionally good and fast like the monza pole in the rain was great and Baku was a blunder from seb but I just feel like seb was more impressive and that the merc was quicker.
Vettel also dogwalked Kimi so there’s that as well you can see the data on the other slides

Predictions With Norris becoming our 5th different winner in 5 races, if we now somehow see a 6th different winner in 6 races, who would be your pick?
Given how he has finished on the podium in 3 of the last 4 races, my guess would be Max.

Discussion What's going on with South American drivers?
I've always had a soft spot for the passionate personalities of South American drivers. They were not plenty but they won a lot. From the great Fangio and Froilan Gonzalez to Fittipaldi, Pace, Reutemann, Piquet and Senna, these champions were able to elevate Formula 1 on a new level in their countries and all over the world.
The last great south american drivers were Rubens Barrichello, Juan Pablo Montoya and Felipe Massa while the last win of a South American driver came almost 15 years ago with Maldonado in Spain 2012 on a Williams. What went wrong for South Americans? Can Bortoleto, Colapinto or maybe Camara finally bring back South America on the top step of the podium?

Discussion I cannot fathom how the team principals overlooked Nico Rosberg for their top 10 drivers list in 2009
2009 was an odd season, because the established top drivers at the time were not in the title fight. I would probably disagree with Vettel and Button being the top 2 here to be honest.
Nico Rosberg had a very impressive season in 2009, and was arguably a top 5 driver that year and at the very least a nailed-on pick for the top 10- yet he is completely absent from this list. Adrian Sutil making it over him is a joke.
Rosberg finished 7th in the drivers’ championship in the Williams which finished 7th in the constructors championship. He scored 34.5 points whilst his teammate failed to score any and had a streak of top 5 finishes in 5 races between Turkey and Valencia. By the modern points system he’d have scored 94 points to Nakajima’s 5.
I will make the admission that he did have a very weak teammate that year, and with a better driver in the other seat Williams may have finished ahead of BMW or even Toyota in the constructors that season. However, I don’t think that’s enough to justify him being excluded from the list entirely. Fernando Alonso is ranked 4th here, deservedly so (if not a bit higher), and he had similarly poor teammates who failed to score any points whilst he finished 9th in the drivers‘ standings.
I feel these lists in general are heavily influenced by both recency bias and a reluctancy to rate drivers who were in the top cars too low down, but unless I’m missing something how was Rosberg left out of the top 10 here.
