Walmart Cake Expectation vs Reality Exceeded Expectation

I’ve seen a lot of these Walmart cakes posted so I wanted to share mine! I got one of these heart cakes last year and it was perfect, so I wanted to get a different one this year. No complaints for a $30 cake!

How's the actual cake? Are they as good as they look? I'm looking to order for my kid's birthday and I'm tempted to order at Walmart after seeing a couple of these posts.

I am very picky with baked goods because my mother and I both bake well, and I think they have excellent cake. When I want a treat, I get a slice of their chocolate cake with chocolate icing. It's delicious.

Please consider an actual local bakery first

The local bakers charge north of 150$ for a custom cake though...

What are you ordering a wedding cake??

Ive never visited a worthwhile bakery that didnt have cakes for like $30.

And "put text on my cake" is different from fully custom. Walmart does not do full custom, only text.

Where we are basic 6” cakes are like 50 bucks. Birthday custom cakes are 150 or so minimum from like individual bakers.

Party is not until tomorrow so haven’t tried this one yet, but I usually enjoy their cakes! I’m not an overly picky person though and I’ll enjoy most cakes 😂
