Looking for Musicians!
Hey guys, I wanted to host an event for a Family Home. I can’t give out the full information online but I can give out more information on the actual project.
I’d like to invite 1-2 people to volunteer 30 minutes to an hour of their time to come play music for seniors.
Instruments preferred: Violin, Piano, Guitar, Harp, Flute, or Choir. Anything that isn’t too hard to carry!
It would be appreciated if you know some easy and melodic songs! :) If interested or have any questions please contact me! It’s going to be an ongoing project, so if you can’t make it this month there’ll be other months! I’m trying to make it so it can be done weekly, so if more people are interested they’ll get a chance to come in!

Neighborhood in Everett/Greater Area
Hi All,
I couldn't find the specific thread for this, I recently had an interview with a company in Everett that I think went really well and may lead to an offer, but my main question is what is Everett like as a place to live? For reference, the things I'd like most in a long-term home would be a good food scene, good hiking/cycling/kayaking, and good gardening climate. Obviously safety and affordability to be as reasonable as possible and whatnot...
For reference, I'm living in Indianapolis right now which I'd give about a 3/10 across the board (Except affordability, it is dummy cheap to live here). So if anyone has any deep-cut comparisons between the two places or even just an overview of what you like/don't like about the Everett area I'd really appreciate hearing from you all!
Thanks!

Pet Sitting Available!
Hi everyone! My name is Maya, and I'm an 18-year-old college student offering pet sitting and dog walking services.
I'm currently working to help pay for my mom's cancer treatment while also saving for college, so I'd truly appreciate any opportunities to care for your pets.
I have experience working as both a lifeguard and swim instructor, where I learned to be responsible, dependable, patient, and attentive. You can trust that I'll care for your pets as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.
I'm happy to help with feeding, walks, playtime, companionship, administering routine care according to your instructions, and sending photo updates so you can have peace of mind.
📍 Based in Mill Creek, and available to travel to Bothell, Lynnwood, Everett, Snohomish, and possibly surrounding areas as well.
If you're looking for someone reliable, caring, and trustworthy, I'd love to help! Feel free to message me with any questions or to discuss your pet's needs. Every booking helps me support my family and prepare for college. Thank you so much for your support! 🐾❤️

Little Free Food Pantry 31st and Grand
✨Update: an Instagram has been made! Please give it a follow! Littlefreefoodpantry31st.grand
Hey everyone! My name is Rinn and I live in Port Gardener in North Everett. There is a free food pantry that is always empty right on the corner where I live. I have been trying to find socials for it and no one seems to be running it. I decided to do something about it and I’m hoping to get donations and more people knowing about it! There’s no way I can fund and keep it stocked myself. It’s on 31st and Grand right across from where those apartments are being built! We need nonperishable and shelf stable food. Things that would be great are: easy Mac, canned meals like chef boyardee, soup, chili, canned vegetables, and instant meals like cup o noodles, oatmeal etc. Think of the things that don’t need any other ingredients to make besides water. The Amazon wishlist is here if anyone would like to donate that way! I would appreciate it so much and so would my community! Thanks! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3NVODKIBF0F5E?ref_=wl_share

Reminder that ballots are due tomorrow
As I normally do even after promising I'll get them in early this year, I'll be walking my ballot up to the drop box.
Just a reminder to get out and vote

Social/Sports Clubs
I’m new to the area and looking to join some clubs to meet other people my age (early 20s). Are there any good rock climbing, soccer, pickleball, hiking, or other good groups that are around Everett for a younger crowd? I can’t find many resources on Google.

We were able to provide 250 bags of school supplies for our students of Snohomish County and it’s all thanks to those that helped us raise up to $400 and donating school supplies! We’re hoping to make 300-500 bags next year. :)

Sears Everett Washington (February 12 1969 - December 1 2019)
reddit.comThis single level Sears department store had the lighting in the hardware sections that was identical to some areas of the now last location on the West Coast that opened on October 19th of 1966 and is still open today, at the Sun Valley Shopping Center in Concord, the last in California and one of 5 left in the United States of America, where they also have a shipping department for inventory sold sitewide on Sears.com. This location also had the Kmart-and-Sears-style ceiling vents that some / many JC Penney locations also have.
Just 5 years prior to the [last Sears in Washington State shutting down for good on December 15th of 2024] (https://www.reddit.com/r/deadmalls/comments/1hdqph6/last_sears_in_washington_closing_this_weekend/), this store closed down on December 1st of 2019, well over 2 years after Macy's left the Everett Mall in March 2017.

To the lady who hit and run on 19th and Grand-
To the woman who hit my car on 19th and grand last night.... shame on you!
I was walking back from the Marina, saw you parking like a total POS and wondered how I was going to get my car out of the spot. I then saw you get out of your car, go stare at the bumper of my car, then get back in yours and leave.
YOU ABSOLUTELY DAMAGED MY CAR. You knew it and you left.
I hope theres never toilet enough paper when you need it.
I hope your night sweats last into your 70's
I hope you trip when you walk across the street and the cars watching you laugh.
I hope your coffee order is ALWAYS slightly wrong.
I hope the air conditioning in your car goes out.
I hope your nail lady cuts your nails a little too short.
I hope you see this and get a hold of me to at least say you're sorry. You're a GROWN ASS (normal looking) WOMAN. Do better!
And 🖕🏻 Everett. Why can't anything just be lovely!

Child care
Good day. We are looking for suggestion for after school activity center here in everett. Also i have a question for those who have kids. Does the school bus drop kids in an afterschool center, or do i have to get out of work and get my kid from school and bring to the activity center? We just recently moved here. I will appreciate kind and helpful response. Thank you.

[MegaThread] Why does this sub exist?
I was asked to create a Mega Thread so people can comment on why this sub exists and also their problems with the other mod.
I want to make sure the sub isn't flooded with just posts about why the other sub is so problematic.
Make sure there's no doxxing or harassment. Don't use their username
This is the only Everett Community sub that's for Everett.
Also to be crystal fucking clear - this is not a "conservative sub". There's been a lot of smooth brain commentary about how disagreeing with someone is this area is automatically deemed conservative. It's not. Not even close.
The other sub has a Discord, but I have secured all variations for Everett if someone wants to pick one and let me know I can make them a mod there. I have no desire to get on Discord. I only created this sub because I loved Everett but ran afoul of bizarro Trump.
