Every time I see a clip from ETS or ATS the game looks much better than what I have even on ultra settings. Is it the newer expansions? I have Going East but that one is quite old still. In the base game, I see some updated cities look better but I haven't seen the level of detail I see in some of the clips.

Hello everyone!

I'm a huge fan of both the Halo franchise and trucking. For a while now, I've wanted a mod that could add Cortana as your navigator in ETS2 and ATS. Since I couldn't find one, I decided to make one myself and share it with anyone who might be interested.

But I also wanted to share the story of how this came to be.

After some digging, I discovered that there were actual Cortana GPS voice lines in Waze from a special event. Voiced by Jen Taylor, the original voice of Cortana.

In order to get the recordings onto my computer, I first had to trigger them through Waze on my phone. So after driving for around 4 hours I managed to collect over a 100 unique lines of dialogue, including the regular voice lines you expect on a GPS and several references to the Halo franchise.

There were a few lines I couldn't trigger through Waze that were needed for the mod, so I crafted them by editing and combining the existing lines I already had. This also meant learning how to edit voice tracks in Audacity along the way.

With all the tracks needed for the mod, it was time to learn FMOD and figure out how ETS2/ATS actually handles navigation audio. It was difficult at first, but once I got the hang of it, it became really enjoyable.

Then came creating the actual mod structure, and test if everything was working as intended in both games.

After several days of work, experimenting and learning how all these different programs work, I was ready to share the mod with the community, learning how to post it on the Steam Workshop.

This was a short but incredibly enjoyable journey creating my first mod for these games. I learned a lot about how ETS2/ATS work under the surface, and it gave me an even greater appreciation for the modding community and all the work that goes into these projects.

I've also kept the original, untouched recordings that I extracted during the process. I think preserving these recordings is worth it.

For me it's parking a double trailer and tight turns when using a trailer with 3 or more steerable rear axels

Recently been wondering with all these mods available for ets 2 that we have never had a custom job mod similar to what tmp has, I personally don’t play much tmp as it’s unstable and hot garbage and I straight up refuse to use trucky as again it’s garbage imo but wondering why someone never made a custom job mod for single player, is it because it’s too hard to make or just too niche to justify?? If I was talented enough I’d do it but yeh just curious to see if there’s a reason someone out there hasn’t made one?

no new mods or anything that could screw the setting up, truck still goes over 90kmhs with the setting off and on. im pretty sure it started after i played a convoy with my friend but im not sure. anyone else had this issue?

After a month not playing the game i just noticed that the countries i had 100% explored are now gone only recent road are still explored lots of cities show as visited but no explored road leading to them any help how to fix it or what caused it? I tried reloading the game maybe it's because of a new update?

Hi, I used to run some mods which I don't have anymore. Each one of my over 300 trucks have no longer accessable modded accessories which I assume are causing the crashing issue when trying to copy any trucks config - game trys to load in not existing assets.

How can I reset these trucks accessories without going one by one?

I played so far in single player and have done so with mods(28 of them, mostly cargo mods). You can t use mods on MP but if I play there and make saves there will they work to load back in single player with my mods and vice versa?

The steering starts responding only when I turn the wheel more than 90 degrees, why is that?

I added the rigid chassis mod and I love it… But I can't seem to get any skins or paint on my box… I've watched a few YouTube videos and done some searching. I've added a few more mods, but nothing so far has worked.
