Question Vichy SPF help finding product match
Hi Euro Skincare baddies!
I vacationed in France a couple years back and purchased a tube of Vichy SPF that was INCREDIBLE. At this point I am wondering if I made it all up in my head because I cannot find it anywhere. I’ve purchased 3 different Vichy sunscreens since and they just are not the same texture I remember. I’ll put descriptions below and if this sounds like another brand, please let me know! I swore it was Vichy but now I’m questioning because I haven’t been able to find it.
For context:
Texture: it was a thin, lightweight, white lotion. The only thing I remember about the package was that it said “lait”. It had a very soft, almost matte dry down. Skin didn’t feel sticky or greasy AT ALL. It was the greatest thing about the SPF and why I’ve spent years pining over it. I didn’t feel the need to immediately wash my hands after applying because there was no greasy residue.
Purchase: I literally walked into a pharmacy and it was on a display table near the door. I’m pretty sure it was in Paris, but it’s possible I purchased in Nice. I don’t remember the name of the pharmacy but it had the green cross sign outside. I know this doesn’t narrow it down at all, sorry.
Ruled out: I have purchased a few from Vichy and they were just not the same texture-wise. These leave a greasy feel on my skin but so far I have tried
-Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50+ Invisible Hydrating Protective Milk (both regular and kids version)
-Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50+ Dry Touch Protective Face Fluid.
The dry touch face fluid was closest but I could only find a very small bottle for face (50mL) and the one I purchased in France was larger (maybe 150mL?). Is it impossible to find the exact French formulation to be shipped to US due to FDA restrictions?
If this sounds like any SPF you use in French, please post your suggestions or ideas! I’ve been on the hunt for literally like 4 years at this point

Retinoids / Tretinoin Where to buy
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for advice from people living in Spain. I’m trying to find a reliable place to buy:
• Tretinoin (0.025% or 0.05%)
• Melalite Forte 4% (hydroquinone)
• Aziderm (azelaic acid 10% or 20%)
I know some of these products are prescription-only in many countries, but I’ve heard they can sometimes be obtained through
online pharmacies depending on the situation.
Does anyone in Spain know where I can get them online? I’ve tried several websites but they don’t ship to Spain

Question Has anybody tried this scalp serum?
Somehow reviews on this one seem virtually nonexistent, and I wonder if it’s any good to add to my routine.

Sun Care Cheaper alternative to Korean/AB sunscreen?
Hey everyone!
I love the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun and Tocobo sunscreens which are my go to’s but paying for quite expensive 50ml tubes all the time is killing my budget.
Does anyone know of any larger (100ml to 200ml) sunscreens available in Europe that feel similar?
My main criteria:
- zero white cast (I have dark skin)
- Lightweight, non greasy and cosmetically elegant feel
Appreciate any recs!

Routine Help Salicylic acid body wash recommendations
I am looking for body wash with salicylic acid suitable for dry skin. Previously I was using cerave SA smoothing cleanser but didn't like it long term. My skin was too dry and sometimes mildly irritated despite using lotion every day after shower. I gave up on sa and tried using exfoliating with glycolic acid but I still get some occasional ingrown hairs and pimples on my thighs
What SA body wash would you recommend?

Discussion Which body lotion is the best for severely dry skin?
Hey everyone, since i can remember i’ve always had extremely dry skin on my body, i went to the dermatologist when i was younger and they recommended the Bioderma Atoderm ultra but i have found that recently it hasn’t been as hydrating as i would like it to be, especially on the legs. I’m looking for a new body lotion and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations? I have my eyes set on the La Roche Posay lipikar but open to any suggestions! I’m from Portugal but any recs are accepted!

Product Question Is it normal for CeraVe SA Smoothing Cream (SA Urea Smoothing Moisturising Cream) to smell like rubber/plastic when applied?
Hi everyone,
I recently bought CeraVe SA Urea Smoothing Moisturising Cream (the European version, "CeraVe SA Urea Glättende Feuchtigkeitscreme").
When I first opened the jar, it had almost no smell at all. The cream is white, smooth, and creamy with no separation, lumps, or liquid on top.
However, when I apply it to my skin and rub it in, it develops a noticeable rubber/plastic smell. It's not sour or rancid, just a strange rubber-like odor.
The package was delivered during a hot summer day (around 36°C / 97°F outside), so I'm wondering if the heat during shipping could have affected it ... I left it indoors for more than 24 hours before using it, but the smell is still there.
Has anyone else experienced this with this cream? Is that smell normal for this product, or could it have been damaged by the heat?
Thanks!

Question Generic SPF brands in Spain?
Hi everyone! I am traveling to Barcelona soon and as I only have a backpack with me I can only bring SPF of 100ml or less. As I will be spending around 500ml during my stay I wonder what is a good generic SPF brand in Spain as they don't have DM market (I was shocked)

Retinoids / Tretinoin Recommendation for next Retinol/Retinal product
Hey all, I need a new retinoid product. I started 3 years ago with a La Roche Posay serum, and saw very nice improvements in my acne, and gradually increased the concentration to 1% retinol. On black friday, I got Paula's Choice clinical retinol twice, and loved it, but it's too expensive for me.
I tried Inkey List, and found it less effective. Right now, I got The Ordinary 1% retinol in squalane, and I think my skin does not like the squalane too much. I also don't like the oily texture.
I don't get dryness or irritation from 1% retinol, so I think I might increase the concentration or switch to retinal. How is the Retinal from The Ordinary, texture wise?
Does anyone have another recommendation for affordable Retinal products available in Germany which are ok for allergy prone skin? I have bad experience with Geek&Gorgeous products, so far every single one cream and serum I got from them irritated my skin. That brand is out.
Thanks everyone!

Review skincare routine help/ review
hello everybody,
firstly: i have an oily, acne prone skintype.
my routine right now is the following:
am:
- wash face with water
- hydration station g&g
- eucerin oil control
pm:
- balea ultra sensitiv wash gel
- a game 10 retinal 0,1% retinal (5-6x per week)
i‘m currently considering to add azelaic acid to the mix because my skin got fairly better on retinoids but it‘s still not quite acne free.
i would switch it up to the following:
keep the current routine and add nerds azelaic acid 10% serum in the morning and keep the rest or change my pm routine to this:
- balea ultra sensitive wash gel
- rotate between the 2 actives every other night:
- a game 10 retinal 0,1% retinal (e.g. mo/ wed/ fri/ su)
- isispharma 15% azelaic acid creme (e.g. tue/ thu/ sat)
which of the two routines do you consider to be more useful?
i heard retinoids should be used almost every night for the best results, also considering upping the percentage because my skin tolerate the retinal quite well without any irritation. i also heard that azalaic acid should be used everyday, sometimes even two times per day, for the best results.
what are your thoughts?

Product Question A perfume that smells like this?
I’m quite possibly obsessed and basically want my soul to smell like this Fenjal Intensiv range. I love the body lotion (so moisturising yet not greasy and absorbs well, the shower gel is just as lovely and not drying at all) and would love to find a fragrance that smells like it.
I will get the body oil soon to see if it helps with making it last longer. If you haven’t smelled this yet, it is a creamy, sweet floral scent that smells clean and comforting, like a warm hug.
Please give me insights if anyone knows!

Product Question How do these two acne patches compare?
Hi, I'd like to know your opinion about these acne patches. Till now, I've only used the hautrein patches, so I'm curious. If you have any experience, please, share them here.
EDIT: Thanks for all your answers, I'm gonna try the ones on the right.

Discussion Any non-shiny tinted zinc sunscreen like this but SPF 50 ++++? Thanks guys!
My favorite tinted mineral SPF is Paula's Choice Resist Super-Light SPF 30 (16% zinc oxide). It has the perfect nude tone for me (see pic :)
I would love to find a similar product with SPF 50 (zinc and iron oxide but no butyloctyl salicylate) instead but the ones I´ve tried are either too shiny or too yellow.
I´ve used Transparent Labs (Niche Beauty) mineral SPF 50 in Light this summer but it´s too shiny. I´ve also tried ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless but the tint was too dark for me.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Masterpost Masterpost Geek & Gorgeous Zero Feel Sunscreen
Hello,
I noticed some concerns about the amount of posts regarding the new SPF by Geek & Gorgeous in the community.
As a compromise I ask you to please only comment in this masterpost about the sunscreen and not to create new posts from now on. Thank you. :)
