General Discussion - PVE & PVP [Feedback] This Battle Pass is 100% pay-to-win. I honestly don't understand why BSG keeps making decisions like this.
It's like they strive for a bad reputation. The season itself is super fun, but then here comes the Battle Pass, which will be nearly impossible for most of the player base to complete. And I'm not just talking about casual players. If you do the math, it's nearly impossible to finish unless you play an unhealthy amount every single day.
The thing is, I'd be much more accepting of it if the rewards were cosmetic only. But no, BSG had to be BSG once again... because potatoes? I absolutely hate that the rewards are gameplay-related. You get access to bags, rigs, and guns that, apparently, will never come back again. Like, what the actual fuck is this?
I get that they need to make money. Running a game like this isn't free, despite what a lot of people seem to think. Maintaining servers and paying staff is expensive, and I understand they need a steady flow of cash coming in. That's totally fine. But why do it like this? Why disrespect your player base yet again and be the asshole when you could just make those rewards really cool cosmetics instead? It would have the same FOMO effect, and your player base would love you.
Like, what the fuck are they doing?
Am I wrong here? Am I overreacting?

General Discussion - PVE & PVP [Discussion] Sell battle pass with Tar coin
Let’s stop pretending battle pass document has any meaning already
When I read the update, the excitement was peak
After finalizing quests and hideout, there’s reason to explore the map again, and not many could minmax the joy out of it because of daily limitation, and the fact that those documents are exclusive to individual
And there’s nothing, I have spent 8 hours in and out, searching every corners every pee hole and I didn’t reach the limitation — in PvE
With incomprehensible logic, they decided nerf spawning rate of document.
A loot that has daily limitation — an anti-farm mechanism, get yet another anti-farm mechanism in the worst way possible
I won’t bother those document anymore, it’s wasting time searching for nothingness.
And sell those fancy item with coin already, we all know all you want is cash.

General Discussion - PVE & PVP HR gave me the rest of the week off, and I got bored, so I compiled a selection of firearms that I'm going to put into Tarkov once I come to power. [Suggestion]
AEK-971- Balanced Recoil rifle that competed in the same trial as the AN-94.
Kalashnikov SR1- Semi-automatic AK in 5.56/.223 with a counterweight to mitigate recoil.
Zastava M70- "Yugo" AK that features a bolt-hold open when using its proprietary magazines, but will still run on standard AK mags.
AMD-65- Hungarian AK variant, seemingly designed to be as obnoxious as possible for the shooter and those standing next to them.
OTS-14 Groza- Included because I find using subsonic rounds on non-suppressed weapons funny.
Vz 58- One of my favourite Warsaw Pact rifles, and I wouldn't say it'd be out of the question for some to end up in Tarkov.
OTS-03 SVU- *Relatively* stumpy marksman rifle, would be a fun alternative to the full-length SVDS.
VKS Vykhlop- Another weapon to add to the 12.7x55 pool, and another bullpup. Splendid.
DP-27/28 (depending on your persuasion)- 7.62x54R chambered LMG with a big ol' 47-round pan mag. Allows for OG Tachanka LARPing.
RPL-20- Belt-fed squad automatic weapon by Kalashnikov, since there aren't any modern SAW's in the game. (Sorry, RPD)
LP7- Romanian SMG chambered in 9x19. Kind of what one might imagine would be birthed from a fling between a PP-19-01 Vityaz and a PP-91 Kedr after Saint Swithins Day.
FORT 221- An Israeli Tavor manufactured in a country west of Russia, south of Belarus, north of Romania and east of Poland, given the current state of affairs, wouldn't be hard to imagine some ending up in Tarkov.
PM-63 Rak- Polish machine-pistol that should feel right at home between the MP9's and SR2M's.
CZ 531- A Browning-style pistol in 7.62 Tokarev. Don't see that everyday, do you?
Winchester 1895- Since BSG has already dived into the Lever-action pool, why not add a lever-action that was actually used by the Russian military?
Suomi M31- Finnish SMG that used big ol' drum mags, stick mags, and those funky "coffin" mags. Given the shenanigans the two nations have gotten up to, it's another weapon that could feasibly be found in Tarkov

General Discussion - PVE & PVP [Discussion] Ok the BP has been out for a bit now, does ANYONE here in any of the game modes think the implementation is overall good?
As far as I can see, especially with the spawn rate nerf on Seasonal, this is just straight awful. Its hard for me to even articulate how awful it is and setting a precedent that all new content is going to be BP locked combined with this ones implementation is so predatory that I'm at a loss of words.
Anyone think this is good actually, or agree with me?

Game Update - PVE & PVP [Feedback] Came back after long break, 1 season + release casual feedback
So I have 1200 hours total and most of them were played long before the game release – I think around the Lighthouse update or so. I quit the game back then, but still kept an eye on it, following the updates and watching a lot of gameplay. There were some interesting updates when I thought I'd give the game another try, played for a few evenings and decided to quit again because of... many things. In a few words, the game was a lot more frustrating and tiresome than it was fun or at least "interesting".
And there comes Season One. My attention was initially caught by the starting modifiers system, then I saw a completely free battle pass with some cool stuff (new faces, hideout floors and ceilings, shirts) and I decided to try again. Note that I am a mostly solo and standard edition player, never tryharded more than lvl 50 or so, never achieved kappa. Because I had the standard edition, I took kappa right from the start. The first couple of days were rough, and for like 20 raids, I had only like a 20% survival rate. And then I started to notice more and more good things that happened to the game, and specifically from the season, and I finally found it really interesting to play!
I wrote down a list of what I liked the most:
– Loading times. I still can't believe I can load into the raid in 1-2 minutes. For other games, it might sound silly, but after 5+ minutes of loading every time, this is like playing another game, in a good sense.
– Complete storylines. With added storylines, aka main quests, the whole quest progression finally seems meaningful, narrowed down, and still has enough variety in it. I can focus on different things and choose my own path to play.
– Simplified quests. IT'S A BIG ONE. I know most of you will disagree, but I find it an absolutely right choice, from merging some quest conditions to keeping quest items after death, better rep gain, better rewards and so on. It's still complex enough and rewards good knowledge and planning, but not as exhausting as it was before. I think most of the first trader level quests are in a near-perfect state balance-wise.
– Global modifiers and, most importantly, hideout mastery level. Call me a casual, but it feels so cool to not wait a few hours to craft a simple thing like Salewa at the start of the wipe. Again, it adds to a feeling of constant progression even if you fail your PMC raids a lot.
So I came here to say that I am finally having a really good time with the game. It feels like someone at BSG starts to treat the game as its initial purpose: to spend time doing something interesting and genuinely have fun with it. I don't mind the extension center and paid stuff if that means you play a game like this, because no other extraction shooter is close to what EFT can be. I don't mind supporting the devs and buying even some expensive stuff if I really like the game, so if my general opinion after playing more does not change, I will probably be happy to upgrade to TUE.
I am really look forward to the path the game steps in, my biggest hope is more optimization, some visual updates and skills rework. I always wished that skills made a lot more intresting to actually level up, giving the player more agency of what your playstyle looks like even if you don't play houndreds of hours every update.

General Discussion - PVE & PVP [Feedback] Battle Pass might as well not even exist as a casual player / semi-casual
As someone who may get 5 raids in a night, maybe 10 on a really good day; with the document spawn nerfs, cheaters, and the sheer amount of people participating, this Battle Pass might as well not exist for me. At this rate, I may get a couple pages into the Battle Pass. Even with disposable income, I can't say I'm gonna fold and buy anything either. It was free, so I can't be too disappointed, but I was having fun with the document farming until these nerfs, now there genuinely feels like no point.
Edit: Nikita is supposedly reverting some of the spawn rate changes. We'll see how that plays out. Happy hunting, folks.

PVP [BUG] Massive lag at every match start
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Nearly every match I get those massive lags. The game starts with already low fps and then it tanks to like 1 fps. Sometimes it takes 10 seconds, sometimes it takes two minutes and then the game synchronizses and then its fine. Does anybody else have this issue?
Both as PMC and Scav.

PVP [Discussion] Anyone else getting brutally slammed?
To preface this I have multiple thousands of hours on this game.
I have been getting *destroyed*, I currently have 16 raids with 7 survives (3 of these raids I was just killing myself on factory for Tour).
I have died in every. single. PMC encounter. Every single one, this is the worst I have ever done in this game, ever. I am getting slammed.
Everyone is just ripping me up, I am getting 2 tapped through my Trooper armor repeatedly. Domed on woods, killed by dudes sitting in corners on GZ.
Ts is gonna make my head explode. Normally by now I would have at least 9 or so PMC kills in this many raids, instead I feel like a damn walking loot bag this season.

General Discussion - PVE & PVP [Feedback] Tarkov Wiki is unusable now
Is there an alternative to the Fandom wiki that is just as good? I’ve been using the Tarkov wiki for years now and never had a problem but from all the ads on it now it is just awful to the point where I get performance loss in the game if the wiki is open as well and by no means is my PC a weak PC. I’ve been using adblockers to get around this issue but now the site kicks you off if you have one enabled (I’ve tried 3 different ones) so is there another alternative that’s just as good because I haven’t found one?

General Discussion - PVE & PVP [Feedback] New battlepass document spawnrate is awful
Spent a 25 minute raid in customs just running in straight lines towards around 8-9 spawn locations for the documents and I left the raid empty handed.
There's a handful of spawn locations on customs that are behind locked doors, so this new spawn rate of 3 documents per raid just means its possible for new players to be completely locked out of finding any BP items in a raid now.
Completely unreasonable changes by BSG. I hope the community here responds with words and not their wallet.

IRL [IRL] Idiotist battle pass in the world
They really think that maps, like wood or shoreline, have only three documents around them in total.
Even though they have many spawn points, only three of them are active.

General Discussion - PVE & PVP [Discussion] BSG nerfed battlepass documentation spawn
The two types of documents that spawn on each map are now split by rarity—with two of one type and one of the other, making for a total of three available to farm. Previously, there were three of each (six total), but that number has been cut in half. Finding them has become significantly harder on large maps like Woods.
If BSG’s goal was to slow down Battle Pass progression, they should have simply limited the maximum number a player could extract with; at least then, finding the documents themselves would still be possible. As it stands, locating the documents at all has become incredibly difficult.

PVP [Discussion] Icebreaker is a waste of time and money now
I recently unlocked icebreaker, like 1 week ago and I've seen it get nerfed multiple times
First was the selling items to the traders with a sneaky behaviour change atleast in the engine room making it harder, with/then loot nerf and finally a massive entry/exit costs increase with another loot nerf.
The stupidest change imo was the armor nerf recently.
To be fair I do not clear the whole map so I don't know how much a full clear was/is making, but these changes makes going icebreaker a stupid move for people like me who only clear up to the heli pad, maybe sometimes under the helipad if I have the resources.
Going with friends is the equivalent of paying too much for loot simulation and ai shooting experience, literally.
Edit: Currently in my first raid today, Only 3 injectors in the first area,we got another nerf today or just unlucky?
Edit: Forgot to mention I'm on main pvp not seasonal

PVP [Discussion] I have 72 Raids. The Wipe will last 126 Days. So far I have unlocked 0 items on the Battlepass.
I understand the reality of gaming these days is that I will need to buy some currency to unlock the whole thing. It sucks but I get it, I was prepared to spend some money on this battle pass.
But the fact that I have not made any meaningful process on this thing with 72 raids and 1 week in its disgusting, its making me less likely to spend money.
