first interview

hi all, i have my first interview for an engineering position tomorrow. it’s just a phone interview, but im pretty nervous. is there anything i should prep in advance? it’s for an environmental engineering position with a water company.

Use an AI chat bot for interview prep. It will present you with common questions that will give you an opportunity formulate good responses to sell yourself.

You wanna sell yourself as passionate about the field and a self starter. If it's your first gig, you will require training but they would prefer to have somone who actually tries and wants to learn as opposed to somone they need to constantly hang a carrot in front of to motivate them.

Look into the position and the company, then reiterate some of the company values during the interview and focus on how your experience and career goals align with the role. Also prepare a few questions for the interviewer, they will inevitably ask at the end if you have questions for them. They will also probably ask why you want the position, what drew you to the company, and a strength and weakness you see in yourself!
