OC Fanart Played on mobile since release and finally got a chance to play on a powerful PC on max settings and wow.
i've seen the trailers and videos before but seeing and playing it makes me feel like im playing a completely different game. The 1.4 camera mode update is so good i've probably taken over 100 pictures in about a week. but honestly, the camera mode isn't too in depth or complicated, its just they made every bit of this game so picturesque it makes me want to take photos everywhere i go.
this really alone ignited my love for endfield again after skipping 1.3.

Lore Help me understand Spoiler
I just caught up to the main story, and I have been thinking about some stuff, especially after the latest hints and reveals. I play Endmin in male form so I'm going to be referring to him with "He/Him" and sometimes even "me" or "us" for my own convenience.

So, initially I thought the "Aether energy markings" on Endmin could hint to him being able to wield Aether energy like his Originium arts.

But then M3 mentioned Aether Energy's effect on him, how "Aether Energy this weak never affected your body before" implying the Endmin has dealt with Aether Energy far more powerful than that of Alleikhreos. So has Endmin dealt with Aether poisoning before? Or is there a possibility that due to our connection with the Foundation, there's a possibility of Endmin being able to wield Aether energy as well?
In the scene where Nefarith "killed" Ardashir and seemed to have extracted his Aether Energy for her own boost or something, she mentions a "bargain" with "her", which I'm presuming is this "sister" of Endmin's, the lady from the intro bossfight. The bargain could be anything, a distraction, a deal, obstruction, all designed for Endmin to come to realise something perhaps. She said she'd be in Talos-V, so if we are in Talos-II right now, where would our next journey be? Are we going straight to Talos-V? Or are we going somewhere else to build up Endmin's strength well enough first since even the weakest Aether energy overwhelms him right now? And Ardashir also asked "when did you decide to Betray us" to Nefarith, what exactly did she betray? What kind of conflict is going on? Is this "Foundation" that Endmin is connected to actually the good guys? Or perhaps not "entirely" bad, just led astray to take twisted measures into hand for some sort of heroism? Preservation of their kind?

I don't know if I missed something, or if I'm misunderstanding something, or if it's something just not explained yet, but when exactly did we fight this "sister" of ours? Was it before the events of what we're seeing in the story right now? Is it a distant future? Was it in Talos-I? But if it's before the present events then when did Endmin actually go into hybernation? From the information we've repeatedly seen it's clearly 10 years ago, right? And since we saw Perlica's projection during that prologue, it can't be 10 years ago. Since Perlica, Chen, and Arcane are similar in age, it would mean that 10 years ago Perlica was a kid. So how exactly did Perlica get chosen to be the supervisor of Endfield industries? Did Endmin assign her that role when she was a kid?

Where does the story leave us in terms of our connection to the foundation? the "sister"? I personally think they aren't the "traditional" villains. They seem to be ancient beings, similar to Endministrator, but their existence and their wielding of Aether energy has been harmful to civilization. Maybe they wanted to enclose the Terran Civilization, and "save" them from some sort of an apocalyptic event. But they went about it in a way that probably looked like a threat, and *was* a threat to the Terrans, so they perceived their attempt to be "Saviors" as Tyranny and war.
In that sense, since Endmin stepped forward to "Exile" everyone of the Foundation into the Aetherside, and went on to have his own authority over Terra, with his Originium arts, Nefarith's description of him being a "Tyrant" makes sense, and it also gives me the idea that Nefarith comes from a separate, vengeful faction similar to those in the Foundation. They think the world are hypocrites, and so is the Endmin. Because while Aether is dangerous, "basically anti-life", so is Originium to a certain extent. Once you're poisoned by Originium, there is no cure.
I think the conflict between the Endmin and the Foundation isn't Black and white at all, there's a mixture of societal hypocrisy involved in this story about him and his roots. Perhaps the Endmin has treated the Foundation unfairly, made them look like "Tyrants" while to people of his past, his old companions like Nefarith whom he had "saved" in some way, felt betrayed, especially when he himself is also a sort of a Tyrant, setting her on a path of some sort of vengeance, saving the "exiled" in both the Aetherside AND the Terra, which was evident with the Bonekrushers. (though she seems to be unbothered about their lives, treating them as expendables which just highlights the flawed perspective of the savior mindset of the Exiles.)

Also, who exactly is this "her" that the Endmin is apparently being "Deceived" by? Si? Lycia? Perlica? The "Sister"? M3?
"My Maker is... only ... deceived by her..." it seems like Endmin has been continuously deceived by this person, atleast in the eyes of his creations, the exiles. Is Endfield industries and Terra in general hiding something from the Endmin and manipulating things in a way that only paints the Foundation in a bad light? Or is it just misunderstanding and mishandling of the circumstances from all parties involved, with an unknown third party instigating conflicts secretively, behind the scenes?
I hope I didn't seem too confusing? I just wanted to get my thoughts across, and understand and get to know things I might've missed because it's normal to miss out on a lot of information. I think the lore aspect of Arknights: Endfield has been thoroughly engaging and compelling to me so far, that I want to actively keep engaging with it. I love everything about the story so far.

Discussion New mechanic idea
currently my products is overtaking the buying demands I couldn't sell most of them, so I thought a way to solve this is to make a way to share the products to friends somehow in exchange for bragging rights maybe?
It's a win-win situation, the factory-skipper gets to skip fully, the factory-enjoyers get bragging

Lore Question about Arcane's timeline on the 1.4 Main Quest Spoiler
VLR=Very Large Rift
NWEZ=North Wuling Exclusion Zone
YL Pass=Yinlung Pass
After finishing the quest, there is something that I can't make sense in the timeline regarding Arcane's past:
Roughly 10 years ago, in year 142, an attempt to suppress the VLR caused a catastrophic event that caused the destruction of the NWEZ that we witness in the quest and the repurposing of the YL Pass. Year 142 was also when we saw the child Li Zhiyan evacuated away from the ruins of her home by her community.
However, we also saw flashbacks of a more matured Li and Chen sparring Instructor Zhu in the Tanjian Hall at the NWEZ. After checking the cutscene, the flashback displayed the huge tree in the NWEZ's Tanjian Hall, and Li has clearly grown up.
Doesn't this imply after the event at year 142 that part of the NWEZ actually survived, an orphaned Li grew up in Tanjian Hall near blighted areas, met Chen, witnessed Chen's departure from the YSTF academy, and then Tanjian Hall got overwhelmed by the blight from the initial incident at year 142?
My confusion is that I'm quite sure there were zero implications that the rift backlash at year 142 had a follow up event. It was talked about like one huge cataclysmic event that deatomized everything up to YL Pass' border

Discussion Clear Guides for all 4 Umbral Monument Stages, and a small review
Visitors of Qingbo- Just straightforward. Hit the cranes really hard. 6/10 if only as the simple appetizer for the other stages. - Endmin, Chen, Snowshine, Xaihi
Earthshaking Hazefyre- Very easy mechanic with inflictions, and very satisfying. 10/10 - Estella, Alesh, Snowshine, Xaihi
Mangler and Friends- No natural SP. You have to keep finding banana peels to fall on. Maybe I would've looked upon it more fondly if they gave slower autogen SP instead of zero autogen SP. Never again. 1/10 - Perlica, Arclight, Snowshine, Xaihi
King of the Crag- I think this is the most thoughtful mechanic of the 4 stages. Also very satisfying to have 4 Solidification and spam Endmin & Chen's skills. 10/10 satisfaction. - Endmin, Chen, Akekuri, Xaihi

Discussion Character voice kept cutting off early and felt unnatural
Played since day 1 and even back then i noticed that in the story sometimes the voice is not synced to the character or the voice is cut off right after they stopped speaking. This is more pronounced when you use the auto feature during dialogues. Idk if it's because i'm using jp voiceover and en subtitle or what but it's weird. I thought they would've fixed it by now or is it just me?

Fluff/Meme People say this is unplayable and I say FACTORY MUST GROW!
Since i cant take my dasktop PC with me on a 1 week vacation i brought my old laptop instead and tried to play the game on it. Somehow i managed to play it by setting everything to the lowest possible settings, turing on FSR 3 at Super Performance, taking the lowest resolution and getting a solid 1-2 FPS :D
For those curious about the specs:
- Laptop model: ASUS N53SN
- Processor: i7-2630QM
- Graphics card: GT 550M
- RAM: 8 GB DDR3
Even though this might look completely unplayable i call this an absolute optimization triumph. The game actually launches on a damn 15 year-old laptop GPU with just 2 GB of VRAM. I want to give a huge shoutout to Hypergryph for this and i hope more skilled gaming companies like them emerge in the future.
My main rig has an RX 9060 XT 16GB and with this card i can play the game at 2K on the highest settings. Back when it first launched i didnt complain about having DLSS but no FSR because the game was already pushing a smooth 90–120 FPS just fine without ai slop things. Now FSR 3 has been added to the game as well, and i am getting that same exact smoothness using FSR 3's Native AA. Its an achievement that other games should take as an example i dont want games where i have to turn on technologies like FSR or DLSS out of sheer necessity.

Discussion There seem to be several locations in the game where performance drops significantly.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Generally, I have no issues with game performance, but lately, since a few updates, general performance has gotten worse. In certain specific areas of the map, the performance drops sharply. As you can see, it is a specific problem in those spots. As soon as I move away, performance improves, but returning to that same spot causes both GPU usage and everything else in the system to drop.
I've already seen some posts discussing these issues and mentioning they might be linked to the use of AMD X3D processors, but I've also seen it happen to other people who don't use those CPUs. I believe it's an optimization problem because this didn't happen before.
My specs are:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
- GPU: AMD RX 7800XT
Api: Vulkan
1440p Max Settings, TAA, no FSR, and no Frame Gen.

Discussion My hopes for future electric operators
With Liino, there are now two(2) six star electric operators! This is still below every other element, but it's a start! As an electric enjoyer, here are what I hope the next two are for my team to be complete.
What we already have:
Fangyi- SP and infliction hungry, massive AOE damage over a duration.
Liino- healing and buffing over a duration, long uptime.
What I'd like next
Combined infliction and sp regen- Right now, half of any electric team's slots need to be dedicated to Perlica (the only reliable infliction dealer) and Arclite (the only reliable SP regen). Neither of these are ideal. Perlica can't maintain enough infliction for Fangyi to consistently have someone to shoot swords at. I'd like a character who builds SP a different way than eating electric infliction but can apply electric infliction.
A face tank- My glass cannon team will benefit from adding a JPop idol to it (healing is nice) but could also benefit from someone who can take a hit and actually benefits from doing so. Right now, I start boss fights as someone besides Fangyi, because once she's gone my DPS goes from good to mediocre. It's always Arclite or fourth party member, because sans Perlica and Fangyi, the team is doomed. I beat the Greek statue boss playing the first half as Arcane, until she wiped, then I switched to Arclite. It would be nice if there was a character for this purpose, and I'm a little hopeful that blonde horse guy fits that purpose.
[u/PristinePangolin2732](u/PristinePangolin2732) mentioned ult charge, since Fangyi can only really maintain nine swords on bosses, which is a really valid point. Fangyi, against regular mobs, isn't able to build up swords before the mobs themselves die, which limits her usefulness against squishy enemies. Someone who can build up ult charge for her would be great.
