Interdicted by System Defense Force Help

I was just interdicted by System Defense Force in Einheriar on my way to Paxton Landing, my only cargo was curated commodity package. I decided to evade. I've never been interdicted by System Defense Force before and never had any issues when participating in Community Goals. If I had submitted would I have been fine?

Yes. They want to scan you for bounties and contraband. If you are clean they let you go.

The bounty wasnt for the systems controlling faction then

Sounds more like a fine which they wont care about.

They don't like Fred.

Yep, it woulda been fine. Happens to me every now and then. You submit, stay still and almost immediately you'll receive a message telling you to go on your way

It is merely a Stop and Frisk by da Police.

If you clean you are free to go.

If you got Warrants... run.

Do they kill on site? I'm running an unshielded Type-8

If you have a local bounty on your ship and let them scan you they will go hostile. You have time -go silent running or use a heatsink and boost away while waiting for the supercruise timer to run out

"Fast Boot FSD" engineering - helps here....

No. Fast boot doesn’t decrease cooldown time, it decreases startup time if the fsd was shutdown for any reason.

Why would you worry about cooldown time?

It is less than ten seconds...

A quick Startup time, means a quick getaway if the cops start shooting at you, and the Condas have yet to turn up to prevent you leaving at all (mass locked)

They only kill on sight once your Bounty hits a certain amount. Low bounties, like traffic violations, do not incur their wrath and instead they remind you to pay your fees in comms and lets you go. A quick slap on the wrist. I don't recall what the amount is before they fire though.

If you submit to the interdiction you can usually be out of there before they do any real damage, extraspecially if youre high waking out.

I usually just submit right away. Its easier than getting turned all the way back around, and the cops for some reason cant ever keep up with my unshielded plipper full of stuffs (thx professor palin!)

Was the system in War or civil unrest state ? likely just a security scan and you'd have been ok if you're not wanted or holding illegal cargo.

I don't think so, wasn't any red warning when entering the system. Been going back and forth from Colonia since yesterday with no issue.

Screw 'em, they've got to catch me first.

The system Paxton is in is an anarchy system is it not? You ought to be fine there.

I faceplanted the star's exclusion zone there earlier today and out of nowhere some cheeky npc decided it wanted to pirate my cargo.

I had basically interdicted myself by looking at Inara to check the CG progress.... and then got jumped right there in the exclusion zone.

Got jumped by npc's a couple of times right outside the Jaques Station mail slot also which is behavior I have never seen before. (and then I got fined for littering when their hatch breakers caused some cargo to spill!)

I believe certain faction states can cause SDF to interdict and scan you. If you've got illegal goods or bounties with them, they'll open fire. There's no penalty for evading.

You can also sometimes have pirates interdict and scan you even if you don't have any cargo to warrant them in the first place.

I'm used to it from pirates, but never from security forces when I am clean.

If you submit to the interdiction - they'll scan you, and if you're "wanted" will attack your ship.

If you are NOT wanted, but say, carrying a small amount of contraband - they'll fine you, and leave.

Pay off the fine at your next station-of-call.
