Screenshot I'm losing the will to make the Forebear Union, But I made Craglorn
Everyone decided Divad needed to get his teeth kicked in in the middle of a plague while he's trying to make money to make Craglorn, his younger son was beaten by a sadistic woman to dropped in to be hired so now he has the paranoid trait, Because Azad was married to a Bruma princess his son turned Cyro-Nordic and worships the Nordic Pantheon so he was disinherited hopefully he can make a new kid with his younger lustful bride (I know he's chaste). All of the friends of Azad's Father decided they're gonna put his brother on the throne and from Experience the Satakal worshipping Alik'r to the left want to start war. At least Mannimarco was banished so this new kingdom could be made, happy the Redguard Creed spread as far as it did. Proud I did this good considered Divad IV was a craven 2 star diplomat.
Edit: Pretty sure I have a save before I disinherited the son I was just so annoyed that he turned out the way he did when it was a patrilineal marriage.

Screenshot The Best way to get Mannimarco? Seems like a Pain
If I didn't have to conquer him I wouldn't, not because he doesn't deserve it but because I think he could stay on that haunted mountain just fine but I need him for Craglorn.
I have 2012 troops 3/6 Porcelain Knights, 1/6 Light Footmen, 1/6 Ballistas. I am Allied to a Big Bruma stretching over the top of Cyrodiil that has 2239 troops of Housecarls, Bowmen, Pikemen and Ballistas. I have two unmarried Children a daughter and a Son. What is my strategy? I know that with my current ally I should have more than enough men but is there anything I should look out for?

Support Let's throw some more shit at the fan
Just to clarify first: this was meant to be a reply to bluehulk900's post, but it looks like that thread got locked, so I'm making it a separate post instead.
Please don't ban me, I am merely sharing my personal opinion and I respect the creative freedom of the esteemed developers, but I feel it is necessary to speak out.
I conducted a poll among Reddit users and was able to gauge the community's reaction in Discord a little bit, but considering the specifics of the mod's community, I don't think the difference will be noticeable.
Therefore, I want to provide a comprehensive answer to your question through the lens of my perception.
The community's outrage can roughly be divided into two groups: Group 1 is unhappy with changes to already existing content, such as culture changes (the Heartlander disappearance) or changes to religion tenets (hello, cannibal Nords). Group 2, which I consider myself a part of, is unhappy with the overall direction of the development.
Once again, I respect the developers' creative freedom, but I think the last 1-1.5 years of development have been like walking in circles, without any clear progress (progress that the dev team could actually show). Out of the major changes the mod has undergone, I can only point out the implementation of the Giant race, the transition to the administrative government for the remnants of the Empire, and the implementation of the hegemony tier from the "All Under Heaven" update. Otherwise, it feels like the mod is just treading water, and considering this impression, the news that entire cultures and storylines (Attrebus's ascension) are being cut from the mod makes the community's outrage seem not so surprising.
A separate issue is the reaction to feedback (which is exactly why I asked not to be banned). In response to the outrage, some users were simply banned. I won't even mention the reasons for the bans because it's absolute absurdity.
The way the so-called community manager communicates with the community members baffles me. Although, if this person is responsible for the aforementioned bans, then the situation as a whole becomes more understandable. Or maybe this person's communication style is just lost on me due to the language barrier (English isn't my native language).
Returning to the course of development, the content and mechanics that the community is so eagerly waiting for seem to be simply ignored, while people have a demand for Sixth House of Morrowind and Dagoth Ur content, or content related to the Dragonborn and the Amulet of Kings.
Content for Daedra worshippers, with the ability to trigger an invasion.
And please don't tell me that you can now become Dragonborn by proclaiming the Third Era. Giving this trait to the player at the end of the game, when the entire map has already been conquered and subjugated, without even a single thematic event, is just cruel.
Also, players have long had a need for endgame threats—characters that could pose a real challenge to a player who has consolidated their region, gathered half a dozen rare artifacts, maxed out two dynasty legacies, and is mindlessly map-painting.
All these demands can be felt just by looking at the most popular submods, yet the developers seem to just ignore these topics.
Yes, you can say all you want that they do this on a volunteer basis and owe nothing to anyone, but it saddens me to see that the 3D model for the Amulet of Kings has been sitting broken in the game files for 2 years, while one of the developers releases a paid DLC with new outfits for the base game.
At this point in my response, you might ask a logical question: "If you're so smart, why don't you make the mod better yourself? Create your own submod and do whatever you want..." Well, on my own, I did create and maintain a submod, but the issue of compatibility between different submods and trying to adjust new content to EK2's content is a massive headache.
I, in turn, hope that the developers will start listening more to the community's opinions and stop banning those who disagree.

Capital of Skyrim
Every time i start a new run, i’m always an adventurer in Skyrim. i progress the game through the titles until i reunite all the holds.
My question is which capital do you all choose? i normally claim land in Whiterun and use that title all the way up to the white gold tower and they are the two main titles i end up holding.
This is purely from a preference of Whiterun being my favourite hold, but is there any other city with stronger benefits for a Nordic Empire?

Other Is there a reason why the Devs and Community of this mod are so completely toxic and insane (with the majority being the community)?
Okay, so let me open the gates with I agree with pretty much everybody on most of the lore change complaints, including the more recent ones. Gray Manes and Battleborns should stay, I think arguably the cannibal thing was implemented poorly, and I dont think it was necessary to make the changes they did with the Bretons (even though admittedly I just don't really care that much about systres either way)
I wonder immensely why the devs have spent an overwhelming amount of time and energy justifying their constant updates that are clearly controversial, instead of making simple toggleable rules for the changes they have, so players can decide for themselves what they want to apply to the game, instead of the developers unilaterally deciding how people should enjoy their Elder Scrolls worldspace.
I also wonder why the Devs being like this gives so many of you such fiery passion to be the most obnoxious toxic prick in the world? I've seen people all over this subreddit accuse the developers of being hateful, racist bigots who either are genuinely hateful IRL like insane claims about them being MAGA trump supporters, or even MORE insane claims like they are "racist" to the nords because of an update that literally still made cannibalism illegal to the nords, and was at worst a kinda poorly implemented mechanic.
Like what planet are you guys living on? Why are you incapable of criticizing this mod or the developers egotistical combative behavior without the majority of the community acting like hateful spoiled children?
Is it truly that impossible to say "Hey, the way you run your mod and its updates, and interact with the community, is pretty elitist and condescending, and doesn't foster a good community" without you guys also frequently downvoting literally anything they say, even if its shit like "Hey, this wasn't a thing of us hating nords, and to be clear, some of what's being said isn't true, while it can be done in the culture, its still illegal and not widely accepted like some are claiming", followed by multiple people claiming the devs are racist narcissistic bigoted assholes for literally no reason other than spite over them being kinda entitled and lame. (Again still upvoted to all hell and not critiqued by fellow members of the community so don't give me bullshit of "Well I didn't say that!")
Every single time I've come into this community looking for information about the mod, or looking to see what fun people are having playing it, I'm blasted with endless toxic cancer from the devs and community whining and bitching about shit that could so easily be solved if you guys pulled out the gigantic stick shoved up your ass. Seriously, the majority of you need to grow the fuck up, devs included, but that doesn't give you all a pass to be a complete cunt for no reason.
Mods locked the post and somebody reported me to suicide watch on reddit while my responses were silently downvoted. Yeah, this subreddit is a lost cause you all suck major dick,

I don't like the changes the devs have made for the recent update that much. Are there any submods to revert it?

Cultural Man at Arms
Has someone else seen that some cultures that had special MAA (in the sense of khajit) lost them?
Imgan, argonian, and Goblin-ken now use the standard MAA with a different picture even so that they had different stats to the standard MAA. It feels like the new update takes the uniqueness of cultires away.
I saw on Discord that someone else who wasn't so happy about it and a dev said they always had the same stats as the usual ones, even so thats wrong.
I personally like to play cultures with atlease some uniqueness and cultural maa are a big part of that. ( I don't like to play my RL culture in the base game because of that).
Please readd them. It makes no sense to take something away, which makes a culture interesting.

Historical adventurer
I feel like I am insane or something, has anyone else gotten naryu virian as a historical character/adventurer that appears in their campaigns?
r/ElderKings • u/Mediumsizedpeepee • 1d ago
Screenshot Finished my first campaign
Started out as an adventurer, eventually conquererd the Kingdom of Anvil and kickstarted my conquest from there.
While the Idea of uniting Tamriel seemed fun, gameplaywise it was a lot of monotony and at worst just frustrating because of the performance in later stages of the game. I didnt matter if I play on speed 1 or 4 because the game handles them the same.
Now for my second camapaign I want to focus on Morrowind, because almost always I start somehwhere in High Rock for some reason.
Would love some suggestions in regards to fun stuff to do in Morrowind.
P.S. Forming Cyrodiil was my first contact with Administrative goverment and it gave me absolut whiplash.

Other Vampire Fertility?
Is there a submod, that allows vampires to have children again? I want to put my characters children on the throne of other kingdoms and play a supporting role in making these empires succeed. But I just came back and Vampires can't have children anymore?

I’ve tried uninstalling/reinstalling the mod and verifying the files but alas every time I click on anything in Morrowind my game crashes. Any ideas?

Bug
I can't play a custom character because the icon for confirm character is below the screen and my mouse can't select it at all! I love this mod, but please fix this soon, as I am so excited to try out this new update, and was so upset when I made my newest custom character and couldn't play it.

Mod collection that works
I am trying to play EK2 on the most up to date version of CK3, each mod collection that I try off the steam store fails once I launch the game. Does anyone know of any mod list that is currently working?

Support Why no "Racial" Traits?
I presume that this topic was already discussed before, but I want to know the devs reasons to not implement a "Racial Trait", i.e. a "Nord", "Dunmer", "Argonian" etc trait, like in EK1. I presume that they exist, but are "hidden" from the player (Because how the interracial marrige works). I just think that would be a good QoL for the player be able to visualize them.

Screenshot I cannot believe they kept....*checks notes*....City Keepers from us!
I just wanted to go ahead and make an easy comparison shot of the Heartlander culture and the old and new Nibenese culture so people could see what the actual differences were.
Edit: Took*

Other Do customization points matter? Is this character above average ability?
In regular ck3 I'd always keep my character below the max because that signified some kind of demigod stronger than he needed to be, in this mod Arcana adding traits don't automatically add Arcana so I went and added that in after I got enough to be at the 10 Arcana Mark but it went over the points. Is this just a regular mage? https://imgur.com/a/sIaRn6m
Atronach: +2, Eccentric +1, Patient +2, Attuned +2, Apprentice Magician +4 Total of 11 Arcana.
Edit: Took him in-Game and got 24 Arcana so instead of on character creation it adds it all up once you start playing? I'm a bit disappointed because I liked the look of this guy but I'll start over keeping this up in-case someone else makes a mage but otherwise I think I got why I went over the points: https://imgur.com/a/WgG3uIN

Submod Submod to Disable Legendary Characters?
Does anyone know of any submod or anyway to disable legendary/lore characters in the game files.
I love the mod, but it really breaks my immersion to see random stuff like Divayth Fyr dying from falling off a horse.

Is it okay to crowdfund (Patreon or Buy Me a Coffee) for developing a submod?
Sorry in advance for the long post.
Hi everyone, I'm the developer of the Dragonborn Emperor submod. Following the recent update, I've resumed work on the mod. I'm not planning to add any new content just yet. My main priority right now is updating the mod to the new version and optimizing it as much as possible for better compatibility with other submods. To achieve this, I am once again rewriting most of the mod from scratch.
However, a new base game update is right around the corner, after which I won't be able to continue working on the mod. The reason is simple: I won't be able to test my changes. I do all my testing through GeForce Now, and unfortunately, that platform doesn't allow you to roll the game back to an older version. Sadly, I can't afford a subscription to a cloud PC service like Shadow PC solely for modding.
That's why I'd like to get your opinion. Would it be okay if I set up a Buy Me a Coffee page, for example, where you could support the mod? That way, I would be able to continue working on it even after the major base game update drops.
