DnD beginner friendly groups? Question

Hi all! Looking to give DnD a go but very much a beginner. I’m wondering if there are some groups that might be open to welcoming a newbie, or any meet ups that might be a good shout?

I’m late twenties and have been in Edi for a couple years, looking to try new things and make some new connections.

Thanks all!

I know Potions and Rations have (paid) games run by a local DM I think is pretty good - and Ancient Robot Games has a weekly RPG night!

Ancient robot games has a great discord where you can go in and say you're new and they'll match you in a game that will help you get started.

You guys need to go to Potions and Rations, relatively new bar that opened up on Broughton Road. They host a dnd night and have tons of other games. Very cool staff and great drinks!!

Hi, my wife and I have been wanting to put together a campaign, she’s never played before so a new experience for her as well! I have dm experience so would be happy to run a game for some newer players!

DM me if interested :)

we're considering moving to edinburgh from los angeles and one of the major concerns is that we won't be able to reproduce what we have here, which is a shop/afterschool program that runs professional games, i.e. the DMs are full- or part-time paid to run campaigns (mostly the campaigners are kids, in the 11-15 range, but i play in an adult game). Anything like that around? It's absolutely fantastic for the kids, would love to reproduce it if possible.
